Big games are leaving, so it’s good to see some day 1s arriving.

I get some will be unhappy - but as with any sub services your value decreases over time.

I don’t like this way of announcing the titles, I think the Sony approach would help here and - announce standard one day and GPU the next, or a few hours apart.

@themightyant I agree. It’s probably a we have paid X amount to get it on GPU so we need Y to play it.

There’s nothing of note like this on PS so it’s a good choice.

Tho I wish they had focused on getting StarCraft on Xbox (yes yes I know different teams but still)

@Gabrielmpf MS own activision, have further multi platform ambitions, so it’s good to get it out there, then people aren’t constantly asking.

Will most likely mean future games like Indy will also have pro support.

Rebirth > Astro > metaphor for me.

Good mix of games there.

Shame Indy etc (assuming good releases) miss out, because by the time next year comes around they are largely forgotten about.

Forza horizon. I just can’t get into it.

I appreciate it is a good game. I can see it is. But it doesn’t click with me. I much prefer the motorsport versions.

Giving a 1 is clearly trolling. - just as everyone says when a MS/Sony game is given a 1/10 that it’s the ‘other side jealous etc’.

Game may not have your beliefs. Doesn’t make it a 1.

@Romans12 yet it’s a solid game (take aside wether you believe it is woke or not or whatever) so it doesn’t deserve a 1

Subscription gives, subscription takes

All been on a while. And there’s big games coming to replace it.

The 1 star reviews really do show how sad and pathetic ‘gamers’ can be.

Makes me sad to be associated with part of that.

Personally I’m happy seeing games release complete. Without dlc. I can play it and move on.

Plus with games taking longer than ever to develop it makes sense to focus elsewhere

@themightyant yeah it’s strange how ‘gamers’ latch onto something and berate it and so forth. Before long all their outrage will be moved onto another game…

They release one that has been better than previous years and people will buy it. Who knew! Maybe more companies should release better quality games.

Actually starting to look forward to doing the campaign when I get to it.

I’m not arguing I was giving a recent example on what is a large game. (The equivalent on PS or Eurogamer have 200+ comments in comparison)

I haven’t played CoD in over 10yr so I’m glad the one I’m going to try is a good one.

With gamepass in the headline they get a lot more traffic. People just are less interested in Xbox if it isn’t on gamepass.

For example, DA veil guard has less than 40 comments.

Im glad it’s looking good and performance sounds up there too. And I will be giving it a try at some point.

But I’m still more interested in avowed personally. Never been a very big Indy fan.

These are the same paid sites that give stuff like EAs other games like fifa 7’s (can’t be paying too well then eh EA?!)

Sadly for many the game has turned out to be pretty good. And those that hadn’t played it and mind their mind up are trying a different tactic.

But damn what a month it has been pencilled in to release.

Kcd2, civ7, AC, LaD, wilds, all also slated for feb.

I really hope avowed doesn’t get lost amongst those, so I can maybe see a date change on the horizon.

It’s not like they scored it at such a big difference from other reviews.

@FarmDog08 stuff like Eurogamer havent done a review either It’s only been out a day. IGN and PX only did a campaign review. I’m pretty sure they will do a review. And it will be a 7/8.

@FarmDog08 probably like most sites they have waited for it to release to play multiplayer. (As most sites do with multiplayer elements )

@TheGiraffe I finished up avatar last weekend. It’s pretty. But in all honesty it’s just well meh.

Really disappointing and a lot of repetitive play.

@carlos82 when there’s no defence it’s easier to blame the other company.

Yet we are still getting charged (and fleeced) more than ever in this hobby.

I think most common sense people expect more to go to other platforms. That ball has well and truly been rolling.

But it’s the messaging for me - not expecting them to see XYZ is all going to other platforms- it’s just such a vague statement. And contradictory to what was leaked yesterday.

MS need to get on top of mixed messages. It doesn’t inspire consumer confidence.

@OldGamer999 they do lose money. At least up to a certain point.

But they are ‘happy’ to lose this money because they recoup it on software and items etc

One minute they are. Then they aren’t.

I’ll just wait till they announce it.

Then play it on GP anyway.

I think it’s probably too late in the day now.

But I think they should have released it on Xbox. Just as I think there should have been an Xbox release for concord (yes yes it flopped) but I think multiplayer games generally need to be on as many consoles as possible

It looks awful. The series x (and S) look nice and compact and neat on the shelf. And this is gaudy. - not to mention potential of spills etc

In its defence I will give it that it’s pretty cool you can dispense it with a remote.

To be fair to many, 2 of those big 3 have laid off staff and cancelled projects too.

So why not take the money and try make the game you want elsewhere?

@Banjo- id love to see banjo, crash, spyro and those ‘younger’ audience type games make a comeback.

So many of the old classics are missing.

It’s priced reasonable which is very welcome.

But from most of what I’ve read elsewhere it’s very underwhelming so I think I’ll wait for now.

I kinda hope it drops after Easter, quite a few games I’m interested in in Feb that are going to take time.

Never played the first, but the second has me intrigued with it being single player.

@IOI the good thing is pretty much everything shown was multi platform and none of it is MS studio stuff so they are good on that front!

Ps5 digital is sub £400 (there’s a sale reducing further currently)

Series X digital is £430

Regarding the US I can see ps5 digital is around $450

Obviously the S is slightly cheaper. (But the X and 5 are closest spec wise)

So I see MS being more expensive??

@GamingFan4Lyf what he says is true. Plus the people who own a pc. Plus the fact a game usually only sells to around 10-20% of the player base maximum.

The 30million quickly drops. And Sony would have to make it run on the series S that matches the X.

I do think that the only way multiplayer games can really survive is by being on as many platforms as possible, and Sony should be looking at putting them on Xbox.
