You would have thought with the price rise they would boost the optics and add a few to console but this is pretty drab

@Vaako007 I was meaning in general more on subscription services. That both companies have increased also. (Trying to get as much as possible from current subscribers)

The consoles increased while disliking they increased I fully understand why they are and can be justified.

@OldGamer999 it’s not just an MS issue however as Sony are stagnant also. (Hence price rises etc)

It’s just reached a ceiling but it’s one that’s probably lower than they were expecting. So I’m comes the ‘play anywhere’ but if it stays stagnant after it’s been available on stuff like fire stick for a while then I guess they would worry more about it then.

Most of it is probably BS. Because most employees don’t need to know.

Missing nothing because the same games will still run on series consoles.

But a lot of people’s reactions are over the top. It’s like they think the OG ps5 won’t be available, or they think it’s designed for everyone.

I’m not disagreeing that Sony are being ridiculous. But this generation both are pushing it.

The Pro isn’t replacing the OG ps5 (both the X and ps5 regularly go on sale anyway)

Both Sony and MS have raised prices too.

Considering MS has just priced their refresh at 599. Everyone seems to be forgetting this.

You can guarantee it would be 699 minimum.

But there isn’t anything coming so it’s a pointless poll.

People keep making out that it’s going to sell millions and millions. But it’s a niche product for a niche market.

(An over priced product) but there will be a market.

But remember Microsoft also increased prices on their standard consoles. And now everything will be shown on the pro v X. And they no longer have the most ‘powerful’ console.

And if it is true MS want to release their new console in 26, then Sony will have the Pro to compete against it (the leap won’t be as big).

Overall though in the current climate no new console is probably better.

@BowsersBuddy no. The ps5 and X are similar already. The S was a budget version.

Pro is for enthusiasts who said the wanted fps and graphics (ps5/X both struggle here). Not intended to sell to the masses really.

But I think at the price even enthusiasts are balking at it.

MS want money. Hence going to ps with games.

Your mixing things up though the Pro isn’t replacing the ps5 standard. Those will keep selling. Pro was for enthusiasts.

That price is crazy. I was interested up to about £630 with disc drive. But it’s £170 more so no thanks.

Does have 2tb in it so I guess that’s a little of the cost lol.

The stealth put me off buying it till a sale.

@themightyant gta5 had around 500 songs. Assuming they did the same with 6, and paid all musicians the same fee, that’s approaching $4 million alone. Imagine if they paid what this guy is asking.

Probably get the remaster this October/november as that will be a year. 16 early next year and 7 will be a while away I would imagine.

It’s good fun.

It wouldn’t have done any better if it was on PS. Because it was full of launch issues. - maybe if it goes to PS in future it may review higher, but obviously it will be because it includes updates.

Buggy? Huge amount of loading screens? Crashes. Save issues (iirc). 30fps?

There were many underlying issues at launch.

Both Astrobot and AC mirage are closer to the £50 mark at release than the £70. Helldivers was £35. And many undies are £20-40. (Examples of a few this year)

But I guess most major publishers will want to spend less time on development while charging same price.

7/10 I put 70hrs in to complete it. I’m sure it runs better now. But I’ve never felt like I’ve missed it or wanted to dive back in.

However I probably will give it another go in the future. Can’t be a 9 or 10 as it was way too buggy to be those kind of scores.

@Fenbops same for me, especially when they are also saying other modes are coming next year. May as well wait and experience the full game, at a cheaper price too!

@themightyant the issue they had at the time, nothing was close to release. So they had to show further into the future.

But now they have games coming at a steady release hopefully they don’t need to show things so far away.

Everything has a failure. Yes concord unsurprising flopped hard. Gamers could see that coming. Everyone knew it.

It was only a year ago let’s not forget that MS had the car crash that was redfall. But Sony just like MS did will move on.

Then they have hits that people didn’t expect, in games like Palworld and Helldivers.

So it happens companies get it wrong. Won’t be the first time Sony/MS will and it won’t be the last.

I hope the S handles it better than AoE2 however. That really struggled on battles last I tried it.

@Fenbops yeah I agree. Especially after game science even came out and said it’s because of (whatever) issues. So MS are basically calling them liars, yet in the next breath say they are working with them.

@Burnfeeling it isn’t delayed. They managed to get it done on time.

But for whatever reason there is an issue in communication between them and MS.

When they are getting questions about if Sony had money hatted the game they answered.

Regardless MS should be answering. They could just answer and say we don’t want the game.

Either way they have tried to communicate with MS and MS don’t seem to be responding.

Of course different developers may get it straight through with no issues. But this one is having issues and MS should be at least communicating.

It’s always going to happen. Sometimes you don’t think somethings going to hit. Then it does.

Take palworld for example, who saw that doing as well as it did and they took a punt it.

Or look at redfall Phil said they expected double digit higher reviews so it goes both ways.

Some hit, some miss.

@NEStalgia Tbh the rumours of it being a ps5 exclusive probably help them more than coming out saying it isn’t. So why deny it? Sure it would be helpful of course.

Just as the rumour it being a ps5 exclusive kinda helps MS. It’s a better narrative that big bad evil Sony took it away from the plucky rascal underdogs the trillionaire Microsoft. Rather than it look like a Dev is struggling to get the game running on an Xbox.
