Microsoft has confirmed the first batch of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass in November 2024, and sadly, this list contains some major titles that are exiting the service in the middle of the month - including two Like a Dragon games.
Here's the full list of leavers for mid-November:
Date | Game | Platform |
November 15 | Dicey Dungeons | Console, PC, Cloud |
November 15 | Dungeons 4 | Console, PC, Cloud |
November 15 | Goat Simulator | PC |
November 15 | Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name | Console, PC, Cloud |
November 15 | Like a Dragon: Ishin! | Console, PC, Cloud |
November 15 | Persona 5 Tactica | Console, PC, Cloud |
November 15 | Somerville | Console, PC, Cloud |
As always, you can get a discount of at least 20% on these games before they leave Xbox Game Pass, and that discount may be even higher as part of Microsoft's ongoing sales promotions right now. It's always worth a browse on the store if you'd like to own any of these for good!
It's never great to see a list like this leave Xbox Game Pass, but November is looking pretty stacked overall. We have Stalker 2 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 joining the library later this month, and we're also expecting more titles to be revealed by Microsoft this week.
Disappointed to lose these Xbox Game Pass titles? Tell us which you've enjoyed the most in the comments.

More games leaving the Game Pass on console than joining of late. I get they've just added a big one, but if it holds no interest for you, then GP has been very poor lately. Indeed, even with CoD, GP has been poor recently. Still, at least they lowered the price, right? Right...
Subscription gives, subscription takes
All been on a while. And there’s big games coming to replace it.
@Fiendish-Beaver I actually disagree. I’m subbing to Gamepass for the first time in about 6 months or so because I like the November line-up. Sure, I wish Starcraft was also coming to consoles, but Stalker, Flight Sim, and Nine Sols all hopping on the service (and Metal Slug Tactics, which is such a wildcard title) this month with Indy right on the tail of that, had me ready to sub for a couple months for the first time in a long time. When I let my sub lapse too, I had only played maybe 2, 3 games on GP this year and mostly kept it for my son because he likes it (my personal playtime on Xbox this year is 12 hours, so I can’t say I’ve enjoyed Xbox’s trajectory most of the year). Honestly, it’s so refreshing to see such a varied list for this month to me and it makes me curious to see what’s next, as I’m far more happy with what’s on offer this month than I’ve been in months, potentially years. It’s been a rough generation for myself with my Xbox, but this gives me faith things may change.
lol, I have Like a dragon gaiden installed in my console since it was released on gamepass, and when I decided to start playing I got a notification from MS saying that it is leaving the service on nov 15...Now I'm speeding thru the story to get at least that done before it leaves the service. Since the story seem to be shorter, I think I can make it.
Make sure you play The Man Who Erased His Name so you too can cry your eyes out before it leaves the service.
Mission Accepted: Finishing Somerville and Persona 5 Tactica until Nov, 15th
I get what you are saying, @somnambulance, and GP has always been horses for courses. However, the current tactic from Microsoft is to give us one decent game a month to keep us subscribed. That one game maybe done and dusted within a week, but you still need to be subscribed for the entire month, and then the next month too if you want to play the next big game.
The thing is, there used to be a lot more offerings each month, and so it was easy to find 2, 3, 4 or more games that appealed to you and that was enough to occupy you for the entire month.
The point being that Microsoft are being clever in what they do, but it is not really a benefit to us gamers in the way that it was. Yes, it's still cheaper than buying each game individually, but the Service is not as good as it used to be...
Great. I think Sega shouldn't throw away their Like a Dragon games like this.
Oof! That's some pretty heavy hitters on there, Like a Dragon, Persona etc. including a few I haven't found the time for. Thankfully there's several new games being added too, plenty to play, but shame I missed these.
I finished all LAD and Persona game so nothing that bothers me.
@Nintendo4Sonic completely agree!
I think Sega should take all of its games out of Gamepass. Not only that, Gamepass should cease to exist.
Can you imagine a game company accepting a lot of money from MS to give access to its games to more players? The important thing about a game is being bought not played! Woohoo!
Are these Like a Dragon games as cut scene heavy as the mainline games? Also do they have dub or just subs?
@Fiendish-Beaver I don’t necessarily think that’s a Microsoft problem, but rather an industry at large problem. At least I can say that this year. It was a Microsoft problem at times throughout the years for sure, but this year not so much something I can say is their fault. Sorry to say, but there’s been months this year that I struggled to find something I wanted to play this year across all platforms. 2024 has been a strange year in gaming. Practically the entire release schedule came out in October.
@RBRTMNZ Ishin and Gaiden are traditional real-time fighting style. Ishin is a samurai theme based in feudal Japan. Plenty of action to be had. Both have a lot of cutscenes (a staple of the franchise), though not as much as LAD or LAD: Infinite Wealth.
@Foxx_64740 your ideas are really good.
@Nintendo4Sonic thanks! I knew you would love the part of not playing games.
Ishin is rather lengthy if one takes on the side quests. Thank goodness I stumbled upon on a user who estimates the leaving portion of Gamespass through some sales data on the Xbox/MS store. It gives people on the household more time to finish games.
Thing is, @somnambulance, Microsoft are sitting on a goldmine of games they could be putting on the Service to fill in the shortfall now that they own ABK. There really is no excuse for so few offerings right now and in recent months...
@Fiendish-Beaver I agree with that. Where is my beloved Pitfall? It would be nice if Xbox, you know, communicated properly. As silence is Sony’s thing now, double speak is Xbox’s. At times I wonder if Activision is still technically a separate company also owned by Microsoft rather than a part of Xbox. It’s been weird.
Sega says just from PC Game Pass alone the old Yakuza games do really well so they always renew it, so I gotta wonder if Like a Dragon will be the same.
@Fiendish-Beaver We know they have some Activision stuff in the works based on the two Transformers projects for 2024, so you'd think with 2 months left it'd have to be November before the holiday sales really kick off. You would THINK that, but if so they're taking their sweet time.
I had it in my head that the like a dragon games would never leave. I’m hurrying up to play gaiden now (was saving it for after I play 7), but I’ll miss ishin! It’s too long!
@shoeses yeah I didn’t expect to lose gaiden or ishin after only a year. But there they go.
I subbed just because of Blackops 6.
All the other games are a bonus for me.
Also that i am able to play EA games on it is a Win. Gamepass has alot of value i.m.o.
Man blackops 6 is really an amazing game.
Three games from my wish list leaving this month. Being time-poor does make things a challenge when trying to get your money's worth out of these services.
Nothing important.
