Back at the start of the year, the team behind the awesome Microsoft Rewards program announced that major changes were being made on the Xbox side of things, including the removal of the old MS Rewards console app.
We saw some changes to Xbox Game Pass Quests as part of this as well, and today, these Quests are being "reimagined" once again. As spotted by multiple Microsoft Rewards users in Australia so far, Microsoft is advertising a series of new Xbox Quests that include playing multiple games for 15 minutes every month, as well as a multiplier feature for the Weekly Streaks that's focused around being as consistent as possible.
Usually, in situations like this, we find that more regions get access over time, but apparently this is remaining exclusive to Australia... at least for now. This is according to Xbox's Brenna Duffitt on social media:
You can scroll through the images in the Reddit post above if you're interested in the specific changes being made here, but ultimately it seems like not much is changing in terms of the potential points you can earn per-month with these.
We're just curious to see if the rollout extends beyond Australia in the coming weeks and months, as clearly this is quite an overhaul compared to the previous Xbox Game Pass Quests model. We'll let you know if we hear anything.

I like the return of weekly streaks, previously used on other points rewards 2x, 3x etc. And if it is in fact more points, without making them much grindier, that could be good.
But I don't like the "play 8 different games for 15+ minutes" in a month. That isn't how I play games naturally and seems more like a job / box ticking exercise, probably to hit some quota.
@themightyant Same here, I'll play one game to completion. Maybe play 2/3 games in a month depending on how big they are.
@themightyant I agree. It’s probably a we have paid X amount to get it on GPU so we need Y to play it.
@themightyant
"seems more like a job / box ticking exercise, probably to hit some quota".
Yup, possibly.
Or could be an effort to encourage users to try out more games (in a hope to encourage more DLC purchases and game purchases when the game or user leaves gamepass).
@GeeForce Getting people to try more games on Game Pass is good, but it's a balance... 8 a month seems far too excessive and unnatural to me, though perhaps they have data that says more people flip/flop between games.
And it didn't seem to work anyway. I played a 4 gamepass games for about half an hour each and not one of them applied to the new system.
It remains to be seen whether these changes for Australia equate to more or less overall value, but 900 Dollaridoos says it’ll be a downgrade.
@Wisegamer its probably to say to share holders we have X subscribers but look they are playing more games than ever per month.
Always a way to boost vague numbers
The 4 and 8 pack seems broken they are not tracking at all
@themightyant same plus it seems broken by not tracking
The daily play is already the same here in the us. It used to be ambiguous as to how long, but a few weeks back it updated to "15min"
Streaks are here at the core level as well, just without multipliers.
The 4 and 8 packs i have not noticed, but am ok as i tend to try out new games weekly on a natural basis.
@Simmsy starting to work now, 2 of 4 games I played popped up
Sadly not for me yet but will try a different game
