Re: Talking Point: Which Steam Games Would You Want To Play On An Xbox Console?

PsBoxSwitchOwner

So all the games are already on steam. Cheaper than Xbox. With a well built user base.

Majority of games by 27 will be on switch2/ps.

So who exactly, outside of current Xbox users are going to be that interested?

Obviously on a publisher/software side of thing they are in a good place.

But hardware is showing to be another story. It’s not even like there is a big user base to lean on.

Personally I can’t see how it will have steam, run the games anywhere near equivalent to a PC version. Or be at an affordable price.

Re: Talking Point: Is It Too Early To Release A New Xbox Console In 2027?

I still don’t see it supporting steam.

Games on steam are £20-30 cheaper. Having steam on the system, actually makes GP not as valuable. (Currently you can say day1 saves you £70, but with steam that changes to £40-50).

It’s also far less revenue for MS. - are PC players going to migrate back to it? Probably not, if anything we are seeing more shift to PC.

The Pro has to some extent limited what would have been a much bigger performance gap.

Still going to have to support the S -will S users upgrade from a £200 console to what is probably going to be £600? (Bearing in mind around 50% are using the S).

Many many people will only upgrade to the X/S/5 once GTA releases. Are they then going to want another console so soon?

It’s going to be a very tricky juggling act. I can understand wanting to get the ‘jump’ on the next PS, so let’s watch this space.

Far too early to care or give it much thought in all honesty.

Re: Xbox Series X|S Sales Now Trailing Almost 20% Behind Xbox One In The US

@Wakkawipeout the next system won’t do any better, Infact it will probably be worse.

Handhelds outside of the switch don’t sell (steam deck is less than 5m as example).

Sony is selling and that means generally those people are buying digital games and building up a library, they won’t leave that behind to start a new console (proof being that Cod didn’t increase Xbox sales despite being on gp)

It’s just the unfortunate reality, and the reason MS have gone multi platform.

Re: Pick One: If Xbox Acquired One Ubisoft IP, Which Should It Be?

PsBoxSwitchOwner

I said it in the previous article that I don’t believe MS need any of these. I don’t think there is huge money to be made in what uni would let go

(I don’t think farcry AC and probably the division/rainbow six stuff will be sold)

That said something like riders republic/trials/steep because it’s something that MS do not have in their stable.

Re: Talking Point: Will The New '2027' Xbox Console Have Steam Support?

PsBoxSwitchOwner

Steam is often cheaper. So how will that work in MS favour? Especially as there were the rumours of game prices going up with the likes of gta.

Or will MS just stop selling actual games and just provide gamepass.

Or else why use an ‘Xbox’ when pc is still there?

Will be interesting to see what comes. More importantly is the price. Considering the 2025 handheld is rumoured to be $500 and not play console games.

Re: CoD Leaker Doubles Down On Belief That Xbox's Next Console Will Arrive In 2026

@Fiendish-Beaver but by that logic, releasing a year earlier than Sony (while everything is still cross gen) would mean Sony would just beat MS specifications a year later.

Because they would know what’s in the console (just as MS do with Sony kit) that’s why they always end up pretty similar in terms of performance.

Is releasing early going to tempt enough of the 30million to upgrade to a new console?

Is it going to make PS users buy one?

Re: Xbox RPG Avowed Seemingly Sold Well Despite Being In Game Pass

Glad it has done well for them. Personally the more I’m playing it the more the original gloss is wearing off. Still enjoying it and will finish my play through.

It’s a nice world. But it’s a very very shallow world. Has graphical bugs during cutscenes (series S) to name a few.

But the dev wants to do more in the world so there’s an excellent base to build upon and improve. - and as it’s sold well etc there’s more chance of a sequel
