@cragis0001 mlb is because the deal stipulated it has to be multi platform and bungee had autonomy to release on all platforms. So honestly I wouldn’t get hopes up. They won’t even release crap like concord on MS platform.

@RadioHedgeFund vision may have been the wrong term, perhaps buying into the ecosystem would be a better term.

Take me for example I skipped xbone because I had so many issues during 360 era. Came back this Gen because of the proposition of a good console, what GPU offers and so on, but already I’ll be questioning buying the next gen or even gamepass because potentially the games I signed up for GP are coming elsewhere, so why pay all those costs?

I’m not saying that GP isn’t good value or anything, but the incentive is just to play elsewhere.

MS just need some clarity, some proper messaging where everything is pulling in the same direction.

I said all along that once the first 4 games ported, every game that was announced would inevitably have rumours associated with it. Personally I think if any game will be announced I think it will be Starfield (Bethesda had to have at least done some preliminary groundwork for releasing on PS originally)

@RadioHedgeFund I guess for many who post here have both/3consoles. If we post here we are probably more invested.

So they’ve invested time and money into MS when they were sold a vision of what MS wanted, and MS seem to just be tearing up the script, so people are probably thinking why bother? I can save the cost of buying a console and subscription. Then just get the couple of games over on PS/Switch.

@RexPowercolt if the console bugs get sorted out parkitect is a lot of fun, and released at like £20. Very much like the old rollercoaster tycoon games

But beware there are a few issues with saves (or was as I left it for a patch or two)

@rhyno_888 there is well documented issues on why some games haven’t ported.

And in my personal opinion I don’t think there are enough sales on Xbox (as they aren’t exactly huge sellers) that is making either MS or Capcom to try and remedy the issues.

@Dimey and no doubt the 1 of the 3 that gets it day 1 is actually getting it day 3 or 5 (due to paid early release).

Because Microsoft sadly mainly care only about the America’s. (Often competitions/perks are US only).

Elsewhere it’s down, as shown by MS own figures.

As we have said before they need to market etc in the rest of the world.

Yes it’s taking ages, but they are slowly coming.

I would say it’s as good as it was when released.

Just because you have 35m paying a subscription it doesn’t go to cover the cost of the 2 games.

There’s the cost of running the subscription. All the overheads etc. and the buying of 3rd party games.

All just so in the next 12months they can charge us more for an advert free tier.

Competition is needed.

But however games, subscriptions and consoles are still rising, even with competition and that’s with the lowest platform doing exactly what you say will happen.

CoD is the big release. Regardless.

Indy isn’t what it was to a younger audience anyway. (I personally think it will be a good game) but the worry has to be that it’s just going to get swallowed up by CoD if it doesn’t release by end of September.

And after Phil was saying he wants Japanese games they used to miss out on and so forth.

Where is Phil these days. Microsoft seem to have put a tight leash on him?

I guess we will see price rises elsewhere, and just around the time CoD and games are due (just like they did with games to 70, because they had some releasing).

And then of course it means Sony will probably follow.

They can’t really call the Mobile push anything Xbox related, even the play anywhere doesn’t fit with Xbox branding for me.

I can see a soft rebranding coming in.

I have a feeling that at the launch of the next console, it won’t be Xbox branded, I think it will go to something along the lines of Microsoft gaming. Do a soft reset, start advertising etc.

Then the figures say different. Barely any growth.

Doesn’t matter if 30m play CoD on gamepass. Or if 15million play XYZ for whatever hours.

It only matters if those players are spending on MTX or new users.

Existing users who don’t spend are adding nothing extra (besides price rise increases)

@BacklogBrad numbers don’t matter if the already subscribed are playing it.

It’s if it attracted new members, or if the current subscribers are paying for micro transactions.

And now we can see the reason for the price increase in subscription fees.

Clearly the current strategy of play anywhere isn’t resonating with gamers. And as we have known for a while subscription is stagnating (ps included too and I expect them to follow with a price rise).

But stagnation isn’t the end of the world, it’s just Microsoft have to realise that gaming doesn’t work like they other sectors they are in.

@NEStalgia I think (as others have hinted too) they wanted the 360 to sound as close to ps3 as possible. Because it would have been Xbox 2 and would sound inferior to the ps3

@Romans12 it’s about casuals (not people who frequent gaming sites so would know what device is what) - buying things for the wrong system because it’s not as straightforward as it could be.

@GamingFan4Lyf judging by what Purexbox replied to me on another thread, there may actually be real numbers that it’s not worth porting to Xbox.

If they put GAmepass in a title, they get double the traffic, shows people are more interested in GP than what’s actually coming to Xbox in general

I understand some of it will beSonys use of kraken but I doubt it makes that much difference.

So unfortunately it is what it is and I doubt capcom will do it differently for (relatively) low sales.

Currently neutral, but that’s just me for most games. There’s very few that I get excited for a long time in advance. Plus I’m not a massive Indiana Jones fan.

I am looking forward to the review and seeing how it releases. Hopefully it releases well and it’s a fun game to play regardless if you like Indy or not

@GamingFan4Lyf I wonder if (and I’ve thought this previously) Xbox may introduce a smaller Gamepass, focusing mainly on their own library along the lines of EA/Ubi.

Or perhaps cut the day 1 3rd party deals to reduce all the costs associated with that.

Why change it?
Why increase the price of the new version?
Why increase the price of GP ultimate… especiallly right before it has the biggest game drops on it?

If anything with ABK purchase Xbox has an even bigger back catalogue it can put on yet hasn’t done.

But whatever questions are asked of MS, they always have the same few that will defend everything.
