Of course not. They expect it to do poorly. They just needed it out the door for a tax break.
And that's honestly no surprise as Dragon Age has maintained being a one hit wonder. How they've release as many bad games after the first was so good, I'll never understand.
What weird is PSVR2 is running at 60FPS and it is rendering the game twice. Once for each eye.
So how isn't the PS5 capable of 120 on it? All I can figure is meow beautifying effects then have turned on for the non VR version.
That said, this is a slow paced game. The place 120fps would have been important is the PSVR2 side to smooth jerky movements when you inevitably get spooked in game.
@Fenbops Right along the same time people realize Phil has been a figure head with no real control for a while now.
Was obvious when Microsoft started stripping his power back during the backwards compatibility program. Then further solidified by him no longer really discussing things outside of Microsoft sanctioned interviews.
I know I personally skipped it because I wanted more 3D Prince of Persia.
Like Ninja Gaiden, the OG's are fantastic. But the 3D generation of them was just damn fine that I don't really have any interest in any PoP games that aren't similar.
@Kloppo I want a new one. But with how bad they botched Conviction and Blacklist, I don't know I want another Splinter Cell unless the IP changes hands.
Last thing I want is for them to do to it what they did to Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon.
I've thought about the console wraps. But thay would also require me take my external HDD off the side of my Xbox which would just be too inconvenient with how much I travel with it.
Seems like Dead Money from New Vegas in space and I'm here for it.
And this is coming from one that played Dead Money for the first time this year. Though that extends to all of New Vegas, if we wanna be technical.
@Bionic-Spencer
And that's to say nothing of Oblivion which set the future of all Bethesda games. Reducing TES to mind numbing simplicity both in plot and gameplay. This continued into Fallout 3, as well as Skyrim.
It is honestly insulting to TES how they handedled both Mehrunes Dagon and Alduin despite how big of deals they were prior. And don't even get me started on the borderline insulting writing of the Skyrim Civil War which was written with all the nuance of a 12 year old.
@NEStalgia Honestly sad to see. That Xbox edition Quest still confused me. I guess if you want black like the old Rifts.
To gh I guess had it been out when I got mine, I would have opted for the back version too.
The leg up they could have by providing native support for a wireless HMD would at least be nice.
I will say though, I use Virtual Desktop a lot to play 2D steam games like Foxhole on a movie theater screen. I've found myself using it over my 1440p/144hz monitor. 😬
What sucks is the Pixel Remaster being released in Xbox lacks all the added content from the Definitive Pixel Remaster like new jobs, dungeons, etc. Even the 10 hour story extension one of them has.
I think the important take away here is that while a developer said this, NIS America, the publisher mentioned here, the western publishing branch, IE outside of Japan, even feels the same. Not enough interest outside of Japan either.
To put that in perspective, that mid gen console outsold the lifetime of the WiiU. And is correctly at ~50% of what the Series S/X have sold, combined.
That is bad how, exactly? Especially for being the first mid-gen refresh.
Now let's look further though. Even assuming that the One X did 20% as well, that would have put the One X at roughly 12 million. ~50% less than the PS4Pro.
Conversely you could view the PS5 as Sony's Series S. They launched it first and waited for higher end hardware to be cheaper to release their Series X.
Which kinda leaves Xbox in limbo. Because you know all comparisons forward will be the PS5 Pro VS Series X.
Seeing how WB is ran, you KNOW their takeaway was "Huh, DC doesn't sell. Guess we'll do a Harry Potter Live Service instead."
Thsy being said, I wouldn't be opposed to like how Kakarot does it.
Kakarot is single player. Came out in 2020, and has had DLC out as recently as February of this year. Preferably without the horrendous Xbox support though. Achievements still broke on the Series S/X version.

Re: EA & BioWare Aren't Making Any DLC For Xbox RPG Dragon Age: The Veilguard
@Ryu_Niiyama Where did you get that? You don't normally cut off DLC from a game that is doing well.
Marketing was completely botched by GameStop's magazine shutting down.
Then you had the articles about the low preorders for the game.
None of which point to anything particularly promising.

Re: Phasmophobia Frame Rate Targets Revealed, Xbox Series X The Only Console To Hit 120FPS
@sikthvash Ah wait. Yes, I forgot the PSVR2 has eye tracked FOVeated rendering on PS5.
That'll do it.

Thank you.

Re: New Xbox Update Includes Discord Improvements & Mouse Mapping For Some Controllers
I wonder if experimenting with mouse on sticks is a prelude to gyro support.
Thought at this point I'm honestly running out of hope for it.
Re: Helldivers 2 Dev Says Xbox Version 'Isn't Up To Us', But It 'Could' Happen
@Markatron84 There was no reason to assume to begin. The legal paperwork shows Sony owns Helldivers and has for years.

This is funny to me because I pack my Xbox up every other week for a gaming night. The drink of choice? Mostly SoCo. 😂
Re: Halo Veteran's Return To The Series Is Just Speculation For Now
I would not expect it after how Microsoft has handled his projects.
Re: Alan Wake 2 Gets A Boost On Xbox Series S Following Recent Update
That's a pretty decent jump from the 720p it did run at.

They gotta do a tear down of the controller to confirm a gyro or not.

So no updated controller with gyro like was rumored?
Well that is disappointing.
I guess it is time to go third party. Even if that means giving up my chat pad.
Re: Thrustmaster's New 'HEART' Xbox Controller Is Focused On Eliminating Stick Drift Entirely
@everynowandben PC supports gyro input. Not Xbox.
If you want all of those things on a PC controller, those already exist.
Re: Thrustmaster's New 'HEART' Xbox Controller Is Focused On Eliminating Stick Drift Entirely
@everynowandben
Because Xbox does not support gyros currently.
Closest you will get is:

@PsBoxSwitchOwner FFS. That's what I get for not actually digging.
Thanks for the heads up.
What happened to the days that everyone just stuck to the handle they made, any hate they got be damned?
I'm sounding like a geriatric now.
Re: Review: Starfield Shattered Space (Xbox) - Bethesda Fumbles A Big Chance To Reignite Starfield's Thrusters
@Sifi Shattered Space only has 4 reviews from "critics" which seems to be the one you're interested. Concord has 46. Over a 10x difference.
You'll need to wait until more reviews are there because 4 is hardly a sample.
Re: Review: Starfield Shattered Space (Xbox) - Bethesda Fumbles A Big Chance To Reignite Starfield's Thrusters
@Sifi Are you referring the scre that matters on metacritic, user score, which shows or 7.2 vs 1.7?
Or are you talking about the critics score, that only has 4 reviews for Shattered space while Concord has over 10x the reviews at 46?
Seems like a fairly disingenuous comment.
And this is from someone that is well known for pointing out Xbox's faults. Much to the chagrin of some here.

Re: Microsoft To Stop Selling HoloLens Headsets, Public Security Updates To End In 2027
I wouldn't be surprised after the last Meta inference where they were discussing the Quest having a direct line through Windows.
Still waiting on that partnership to bring VR to Xbox. But doubt that will ever come.
Re: Poll: Did You End Up Buying The Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster For Xbox?
No interest on it.
If they had done something actually worthwhile I, such as a seamless game world, I would have
Instead they just released the OG, with a fresh coat of paint. Godawful loading screens and all.
Re: Metaphor: ReFantazio's First Review Is Getting Everyone Hyped For The Full Release
No doubt is is fantasic from elsewhere I've seen things.
But IMO, any credibility Famitsu had went out the window when they gave FFXIII a 39/40 and FFXII-2 a 40/40.

VR though is a different matter all together.

Need to get that Elite Series 3 out already.

They removed 4-player, split screen, Zombies.
So I'm not even wasting the bandwidth to download it. I'll stick with BLOPS4.

That "20%" is 23 million consoles.

Re: Reaction: PS5 Pro's Extortionate Price Justifies Xbox's Lack Of A New Console
It makes sense.
They're tapping into that disigner market Apple goes for.
These are going to sell like hotcakes for no other reasons than how expensive it is and that it has Sony on.
Re: Towerborne Hands On Preview - A New Xbox Exclusive Launching In Steam Early Access
