Part of me is considering finally upgrading to one with a light with some of the flying I've been doing recently. But I'm not sure yet.

At this point I'd be more surprised if it wasn't true.

I just want another turn based Final Fantasy.

JRPGs were where I always went when I needed to let my brain calm down from frantic, fast paced, games. And now they're just turning into generic action games.

@NEStalgia Pretty much any mod that works with OpenMW works. So all your beautification, things that use OpenMW scripting instead of MWSE, etc, will all work. Has controller tracking and all that jazz too. Hell, I'm even using my VR treadmill to play it.

The Better Balanced Combat(the mod even comments on the acronym in Nexus lol) mod I mentioned makes combat so when you swing you hit, instwad of heating 1 time for every 20 swings because of dice rolls until you level up. It balances the rest of the game too so that you're not just steam rolling everything.

@NEStalgia Morrowind VR is a better experience anyway. Especially with better balanced combat so combat feels better when you swing.

Not really. The a imatied bits are few and far between. And on some of the better backgrounds, like Pentiment's, all the nice animation is hidden by the godawful UI and ads.

That said, that isn't quite right though, is it? Their first Xbox release was in 2003, their most recent in 2014. That's 11 years unless we're splitting months. With nothing for the following decade.

On top of that they abandoned every Xbox release except Left 4 Dead, which actually got DLCs.

They flat out ignored CS, TF2, and CSGO, after releasing them and abandoned them as quickly as they released the next update for said games on PC

If anything I'd stay far away from Valve console releases as they tend to be little more than cash grabs.

On PC though, Valve is ace.

I was so excited when they announced they were doing a sequel.

Then they do this? No thanks. Guess Splitgate should have stayed dead after all.

@Ribbitsneed Because games like Pokémon, even opened, command hefty prices. Emerald for example sits around $250 for a used copy without box or instructions. More if you have both. Tons more if sealed.

Even Otogi 2 for the OG Xbox sits around 150-250 sealed.

Alot of games go up in value. Especially Nintendo games.

I found even jetpacks pointless because of how quick you get around already.

I feel they're kinda pointless unless they increase the area that is generated around your ship when you land.

Krafton does not have a good track record. So I'm not hopeful. Tenscent being involved doesn't help either.

Absolutely. I'm skipping Black Ops 6 entirely because lack of 4 player Zombies.

I use my Xbox for split screen parties biweekly so games that support it take priority over everything else.

Buncha people, 4 or 5 shots deep on Fuzion Frenzy is an absolute, unhinged, blasy.

Add too many more features and they'll have to rename it to just "Microsoft Sim"

Though if it does get that far, can I kindly request they bring back Mind Maze from Encarta?

I know you didn't ask, but if it helps any at all:

Important thing is knowing your stall speed. Each plane will be different.

Throttle down so you're just a tad over stall speed. And most of the time you want to touch down rear landing gear first. Then nose down.

Aim for the start of the run way while staying above stall speed. When all wheels are on the apply full reverse thrust, or cut engines depending. Then steady on brakes till at 100%.

They need to bring back 4 player split screen Zombies. That was the only reason I played it.

ODST is one of my absolute favorites.

They don't even have to remaster it, but could they at least retouch the faces so they actually look like the actors? 🤣

I was so excited until they stated no 4 player split screen Zombies.

@GuyinPA75 There was a time I'd agree with you, however now'a'days you're a modem's power cycle from a new IP.

I'm of the opinion that hardware and profile banning is the way to go.

It would be much more prohibitive for hackers if they had to buy a new console/hardware and game each time they were banned.

And if they have the kind of disposable income to load up on back-up consoles, well hey, more sold. 😂

This game is an absolute blast. Especially when you're two sheets to the wind.

It is just so fun in a "watching a train wreck" kind of way.

Thats just goofy. I can do that with my phone. I'd rather it be able to be used fully stand alone, off the cloud, if they're wanting to drop a handheld.

I'm just confused how Halo MCC has devolved to Halo 2 on the OG Xbox level hackers.

Flying warhogs that shoot homing, scorpion, shells. Snipers that auto headshot, etc.

Interested in the campaign because it looks like a 1:1 remake.

Sadly seems aside from the campaign being remade, the multiplayer looks like another hero shooter like 2042. Something nobody wanted. Extremely sad to see given how amazing the Delta Force games of the 90s and 00s were.

Gonna need another grounded, class based shooter instead.

Sounds like they didn't like the backlash they got.

Other developers do the same thing, they just don't say the quiet part out loud.

In reality though, they probably don't have much longer to deal with Xbox hardware the way things are going.

With how much they've been nerfing the rewards program, it is the the point that working for an extra 20-30 minutes is less effort than gathering up enough points for ganepass, or really any reward.

And IMO, that's when a program loses all value.

Microsoft has shown time and time again they can't manage their studios. Why would this be any different?

@NEStalgia That actually sounds super practical. I find the pen type electrics with the little rocker button can be a pain at times. Especially when working on small electronics with enough screws to make a a Boeing look under assembled(too soon?) .

That's what happens when you re-release a game that didn't need remastered. Even the version, 2 gens old, on 360, still looks good today.

Without a compelling reason, such as physical release, why would one expect the same thing to sell?

I just wish Live and Reloaded hadn't been more heavily censored.

Whats worse is there was a cheat code that disabled all censors on Multi-player.

And on the subject of gyros. I'm pretty sure the ONLY input devices I have that font have them are my Logitech mouse, and Xbox controller. And I have quite a few.

I have really gotta ask what the screw river uses one for. An inclinometer?

@sporesmoldsfungus You'd think so. If it wasn't for the fact that New Vegas was repeatedly given the shaft. Short development time. Improper funding.

Hell, even with backwards compatibility it was ignored. You got FPS boost and you will be happy with that alone.

Meanwhile the arguable worse Fallout 3 got 4k support, and a bunch of other enhancements. Even the much older Oblivion was given more love. 😭

And I'm saying this all not as long time New Vegas fan, but someone that played through it for the first time this year.

But let's not let that distract us from the fact that this controller is a Cortana controller sans the butt.
Someone is gonna drop a STL of the butt attachment from the Wolverine and Deadpool controllers, then paint it to match. Or even just print in clear.

The lack of gyros is why I refuse to replace my Elite Series 2. I'll happily give it up when they release a Series 3 with gyro. I mean come on, even my TV remote has a gyro.

@GuyinPA75 I've been saying this since he gutted Windows Phone when they were working on their foothold and showing steady, albeit slow, growth. Nadella simply hates hardware.

Well that's just 100% false. You can only buy backwards compatible 360 games. Marketplace.xbox.com, the online Xbox 360 store was retired as well.

@NEStalgia I mean.... Nintendo wouldn't give me a clear console either so I had to fix that too. Also peep the facebuttons I had to grind to get the better ABXY pattern. :/

@HeavyHoggJP it is a Elite Series 2. With them the faceplate just pops off. It is only held on by clips and some sticky pads.

Bought a clear faceplate and painted the inside of it with Kyeol Spring Green clear paint.

Now'a'days you can just buy the green faceplate on Amazon and pop it on though.

Chatpad is the OEM Microsoft made for the Xbox One.

@Pabpictu In what way did Microsoft abandon them? Bungie wanted to be free of Microsoft and made an agreement to leave.

Then they were so desperate to no be independent they went to Activision the Sony.

They're trying to sell as many controllers as possible before the refresh. And honestly, it is a bit scummy. Get back at me once the updated controller with haptics, improved sticks, and gyro releases later this year.

They just waited too long to sell me a translucent controller so I made my own a few years back.

Seems like a lot actually believe you can't on console and attribute all hackers to PC. I mean, yea, you'd seen the number nose dive without cross play. But there would assuredly still be hackers.

You know this is simply to let people that normally don't play CoD, and are due to the game pass release, that they will see cheaters.

ANYBODY that plays CoD know Ricochet does pretty much nothing to stop cheaters aside from putting a road bump in the process.
