Microsoft's new lineup of Xbox Series X and S consoles, which were announced back in the summer, are available now in select markets - with a second wave to follow on October 29th in other regions around the world.
In both the UK and the US, these are all now live to purchase directly from Microsoft and other major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. The new Xbox Series X models are the 1TB All-Digital Xbox Series X (Robot White) and the 2TB Special Edition Xbox Series X (Galaxy Black); the new Xbox Series S model is the 1TB All-Digital Xbox Series S (Robot White).
Select which console you're interested in buying below to see prices and availability for your chosen edition:
While these are a little underwhelming as a whole — the form factors and internals are largely the same as the 2020 models — it's always nice to have more options heading into the holiday season. Earlier this week, the white Series X appeared in certain US stores early - and it looks pretty sleek as a new all-digital option from Microsoft.
We also asked you back in June if you were interested in buying any of these new Xbox models, and while the vast majority of Pure Xbox users said no, the 2TB edition did come out on top as the most popular Pure Xbox pick. Well, that one is out now - alongside the other two new Xbox Series X|S models.
Anyone getting one of these, then? If so, tell us which down in the comments!

2 TB should been the standard from Day One.
I feel they dropped the ball on these. There’s nothing to get existing customers excited about. Like or dislike the PS5 pro at least people are talking about it. This is so lackluster they could have at least slightly tweaked the physical design ala PS5 Slim revisions.
Dozens of people worldwide are very excited about this.
No interest in either of these but I did click on the Galaxy Black link. Not sure why this is considered a special edition.
Anyways seeing the MS store page gave me instant flash backs to near launch when securing a Series X was an exhausting experience.
@GuyinPA75 Absolutely not. The price of gen3/4 nvme's has come down a lot in 4 years. At launch another 1TB would have been at LEAST £100 more expensive but likely more making a 2TB XSX around £600+ in 2020.
So no updated controller with gyro like was rumored?
Well that is disappointing.
I guess it is time to go third party. Even if that means giving up my chat pad.
@InterceptorAlpha To be honest it doesn't make much sense to introduce it mid-gen when around half your consoles have sold and split your player base. Better to launch it along with next gen.
That 2TB is enticing, then I see the price tag and cry. I'm still running a dinosaur 512gb Xbox One S. Even double that amount of storage (my 512) won't do much nowadays.
Microsoft: How can we drive prospective customers who prefer physical media elsewhere?
Xbox Marketing:
Good emulator boxes if that’s what you’re looking for.
White series x all digital 1tb £429.99
PS5 all digital 1tb £389.00.
Currently on sale as well £339.99
Even at rrp, what is the ducking point XBOX.

I wish I had a reason to buy an Xbox. But they just won't give me a reason to do it.
Also why is the 2tb black series x showing released date 17/10/24.
But when you go to preorder they give a delivery date of 9/12/24.
Why can’t Xbox doing anything right.
I’m getting my PS5 Pro preorder delivered on release date 7/11/24.
I’m thinking about getting a Series X again (mostly for backward compatibility and Forza Horizon) but I can get a launch XSX for $180. Think I’d rather get that. Those ‚new’ models are basically the same as the launch ones.
Hang one we have an advancement from Xbox.
Series x 2tb galaxy black does not ship until the 10th of December 2024, even though release date was, but now taken down 17/10/24.
Or you can pay them an extra £10 and get on the 9th of December 2024 a day early.
What a joke of a company I wish now they would just leave the console hardware market altogether, they not even trying.
The reason I’m so pissed, I was going to get series 2tb with the original release date of 17/10/24.
But now it seems to be 10/12/24 then I won’t.
I keep trying to love Xbox, but they make it so hard for me.
The most powerful Xbox ever, now adorably all digital.
My series X is not jealous
@gollumb82 $120? Is it stolen?
boo digital, i might feel different about it but look at how they've kept the prices higher than a used disc 99% of the time even with 'sales'
@Secryt
My strategy would have been sell the series x 1tb digital for same as PS5 1tb digital at £389.99 rrp.
Add free 3 months GPU, especially as COD, Stalker 2 and Indy are all out over the next few months.
Get people used to having that on GPU and hope they take a subscription after the free 3 months.
That how you sell consoles and GPU
@jesse_dylan
Nope. It just seems that people are basically giving them away because Xbox is seriously losing this gen to PS5. I don’t know if I can paste a link, but this is the offer: https://m.olx.pl/d/oferta/xbox-series-x-komplet-CID99-ID12pU80.html
It’s from a Polish version of eBay essentially.
Edit: it’s actually $180. Still a steal I think.
@GuyinPA75 No not really. People complain about price all of the time. And when these six year old SOC designs were completed, SSDs were still expensive especially at that size. Console makers these days don't want to take a risk on making hardware with a lot of room to grow power wise and memory storage is always lower at the beginning. Its nothing new.
Just spend 50 more dollars to get a more practical Xbox, which is the black Series X. I'd get the 600$ Series X just to keep in the Box just in case its the last physical media Xbox plus its a special edition. But my regular series X is still performing strong.
Series x 1tb discless £429.99
PS5 1tb discless £389.99.
You might as well buy a series x 1tb disc £459.99
Or a PS5 discless 1tb at £389.99
Xbox pricing strategy absolutely stinks for the discless 1tb series x.
Xbox out here doing a better job than Sony of making the PS5 Pro look like good value
@gollumb82 hmm. Looks kinda sketch. But I’m not polish so I wouldn’t know either! They’re def not $180 over here in the states. Barely get an Xbox One for that.
I think that the air flow will be even better in the digital Series X as it has even more space without the disc drive
@jesse_dylan
There are 2-3 more similar offers on this site. I will prolly still wait for a month or get one closer to Christmas.
@Medic_alert @GuyinPA75 Technically launch Xbox x had a larger drive than the PS5 for the same price. 1tb vs 8xxgb. PS5 always felt like 13.62oz cup of coffee at that size.
@NEStalgia my launch ps5 and 2022 xsx are both stock. My ps5 always seems full with almost nothing in it. And my xsx seems like I can install whatever I want within reason. I’ll probably never upgrade either tho.
I was using an external drive with my ps5, but it goes corrupt at the drop of a hat. Haven’t felt the need for an external drive with xsx.
@Utena-mobile get a polish xsx for $180 instead 😂 apparently
@Medic_alert Yep, Xbox had all the advantages at the beginning of the generation. And then they did..... Whatever they did....
I dropped $599 USD on the 2TB Series X. Honestly, it SHOULD be selling for $499, with the digital 1TB white version going for $399 and so on. That said, I'm happy I have a combined 4TB of storage, despite the fact that the console itself is actually pretty damn ugly in person. The green flecks (are they stars? really?) look pretty bad up close. From a distance its less offensive. Fortunately it sits across the room. Now if only the base wasn't bright green (mine sits on its side)
Completely pointless consoles with this new X being inferior to the original, leave it to Microsoft to make Sony look good in comparison.
I’m a little confused why the robot white all digital version is being called a Series X? I always thought series X was= physical and S = digital only? Unless I’m missing something?
The 2TB X does have my interest I’ll admit.
It’s also annoying how Microsoft continues to push digital only consoles at us all while trying to shove Bing up our butts every 3 minutes!! 🙄 just like Big Bill wants us to stop eating REAL burgers!!
Should an Xbox be free with the amount of adverts on the dashboard doesn't even feel like you own it with the lack of customisation
