If there's one thing you can always count on in the world of Xbox, it's companies releasing new controllers! Today, Thrustmaster has unveiled the HEART controller, which is officially now available to pre-order.
The big focus for this controller is "eliminating stick drift completely", which is achieved with special HallEffect AccuRate Technology (hence the name "HEART") and it's backed by "15 years of proven expertise in magnetic sensor measurement technology for flight simulation." Here's a bit more about what to expect from this:
"Endorsed by gamers, H.E.A.R.T. (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) represents 15 years of Thrustmaster expertise in Hall effect technology applied to flight simulation joysticks. H.E.A.R.T. provides you with unparalleled precision over time, while eliminating drift through ultra-precise magnetic sensors that measure your stick movements. Providing you with optimal control, even after hundreds of hours of gameplay."
Better yet, the Thrustmaster HEART Xbox controller features stick movements tracked to within 0.01 degree, as well as mechanical buttons that are apparently faster than the usual membrane-based buttons by 64%. There's also the ability to configure things like stick sensitivity and the two rear buttons via the ThrustmapperX software.
We'll throw some screenshots of the controller down below, which is retailing for £99.99 / $99.99. We're assuming it's wired-only based on these images, so that's something to be aware of as well.

Another day, another controller. This sounds good on paper...but "endorsed by gamers" got such a try-hard vibe.
I love having wired as an option, but I do hope it has wireless support.
Wondering what the additional face buttons are for and if it's only wired. Hall Effect is nice but need more info on the whole package.
@themightyant Here's the full Thrustmaster description:

Been using the Eswap pro 1 for about two years now cannot fault it at all, not had any problems with it whatsoever on xbox series x
@FraserG Thanks. I appreciate the link, thought it doesn't answer any of my questions. Weird marketing imo to only focus on one feature.
I just want a controller with hall effect sticks, 4 back buttons, gyro, and is wireless. Why does that not exist?
Appreciate hall effect sticks, but that d pad makes it an instant 'no'.
Next gen everything better be hall effect sticks
@everynowandben
Because Xbox does not support gyros currently.
Closest you will get is:

@InterceptorAlpha They do on PC. There just doesn't seem to be a controller that exists for any platform that has all of those things.
@everynowandben PC supports gyro input. Not Xbox.
If you want all of those things on a PC controller, those already exist.
@InterceptorAlpha Right, all I meant is that I know its possible to play Xbox games on PC with gyro controls as I have done this before.
I can't seem to find a controller like that anywhere. Thank you for the other link. If you happen to know of any controller with all of those features, I'd love another recommendation.
Stick drift is a real and legitimate issue.
It kills me that all these 3rd party controllers are $50-150, and they ain’t even wireless. Why can’t they be wireless? Why won’t Xbox work with them to make this happen? I don’t even want to pay $30 for a wired controller. This is damn 2025.
That controller looks really cool. Just bought a second one recently tho but I’d be tempted to get this if the price becomes cheaper.
What i am curious about, is the DPad for fighting games.
In all seriousness, what were the original ps1 controller sticks technology wise? I mean none of those for me had drift, whereas virtually everything of this generation has suffered terribly. My switch controllers - one pair is completely duffed with drift, one of my ps5 controllers, my switch pro controller seems fine, both my Xbox controllers had to be replaced with drift, my steam deck seems fine so far....
But really I don't remember it being this bad, I only remember the n64 controller having that white dust and getting stiff but they never drifted.
Basically I hope all manufacturers learn from this blip of a controller generation
Can we just get: Hallaffect, Bluetooth, Xbox D-pad, 4x mappable back triggers, all in one! (Trigger stops optional) also, thrustmaster sounds like an adult toy…
Very interesting. Xbox has got to stop limiting 3rd party controllers to wired.
