Re: Mafia: The Old Country Set To Release This August On Xbox Series X|S

Great news! I'm a huge Mafia 1 fan. I played the original on PC over 20 years ago. Then more recently I played the definitive edition and had a great time with it all over again. When Mafia 2 came out I tried to play it, but I didn't like the fact that they had changed it to a cover shooter. Based on that, I never tried to play three. I think this being set in Sicily as a prequel to the first Mafia game, it really has a lot of promise.

The game wouldn't allow me to interact with the left claw for the dragon puzzle at the end of the Vatican. I tried completely deleting the game and deleting all the local saves and then reloading the game. Nothing worked. I would have had to start the game over from the beginning only to possibly encounter the same game breaking bug. What's really sad is that all of this could easily have been averted if the developer had allowed manual saves.

@Nic-Noc20th-C so glad to see someone else loving Dragon Age Veilgard! I'm almost ashamed to say that I'm 16 hours into my 4th full playthrough. It's my favorite game of all time. The characters are fantastic and so well written and voice acted, the quests aren't just fetch or kill and none of them have gotten old yet, and the combat is my favorite of any game ever. Those haters who keep bringing up Dragon Age Origins need to remove their rose tinted glasses and go try it again. It's old and clunky. And to think Origins came out after Mass Effect.

@OldGamer999 I wish Indy was ready when it was released. Unfortunately, it still isn't ready after 2 patches. It's unplayable and broken for many gamers with many different progress halting bugs. I just started it last week and got to the end of the Vatican only to encounter a known game ending bug. The left, light dragon claw from the fountain puzzle wouldn't allow me to pick it up. I deleted all local saves and restarted from cloud saves to no avail. My only option was to start over from the beginning. I chose to delete the game. After reading Reddit, there are MANY known game breaking bugs that still haven't been patched. You were one of the lucky gamers.

Star Wars Outlaws is an amazing game. One of my all time favorites. Assassin's Creed Odyssey was the best in the series. But yeah, the Far Cry and Assassin's Creed formulas are very stale now. Outlaws took the AC formula in a great direction. Smaller, no stupid fetch quests and very story driven with great original characters and great writing. They badly need a new IP though.

Re: Bethesda Games Would Be 'Better' On UE5, Claims Former Skyrim Artist

I truly believe the creation engine is the reason Bethesda games take so long to develop. I personally don't feel like it would be a big problem if I could only store 25 sandwiches instead of a thousand. Obviously this guy knows what he's talking about. Every time Bethesda releases a game, it looks like something that came out 8 to 10 years ago.
