I would absolutely love a remaster of Fallout 3. The only big change I would like to see is some quality of life type waypoint information so you don't have to spend years down in those damn subway tunnels trying to get from place to place.
Of all the bug fixes listed, they still didn't correct the one that ended the game for me after 10 hours. What a shame. I will never go back and play this game until I specifically see that bug fix or they finally allow save anywhere.
Great news! I'm a huge Mafia 1 fan. I played the original on PC over 20 years ago. Then more recently I played the definitive edition and had a great time with it all over again. When Mafia 2 came out I tried to play it, but I didn't like the fact that they had changed it to a cover shooter. Based on that, I never tried to play three. I think this being set in Sicily as a prequel to the first Mafia game, it really has a lot of promise.
Avowed is the best so far. Assassin's Creed Shadows only held my interest for about 30 hours. Waiting for the second patch to fix the audio bug on Atomfall and haven't gotten to South of Midnight yet.
If this is true, it probably means that they're going to Shadow drop it because all they've done is update the textures and frame rate. I think anyone who remembers it knows that it needs a whole lot more. What it really needs is a complete remake.
Very excited to play it! I'm 27 hours into Assassin's Creed shadows and I wasn't expecting to like it this much, so now I have to finish it before I start up Atomfall. Oh well, that will just leave more time for patches.
@jesse_dylan I thought the same thing. Each map in Avowed took me about 18 hours. It's not the short game everyone was claiming if you do every side quest.
@Kb42 yes, the menu stick drift issue is ridiculous and frustrating. It forced me to buy a new controller. There are also still character animations (series X performance) that stutter bad in both cutscenes and general gameplay. She said it would have jank, and it sure does. Still having a blast at 46 hours in though.
Really, really hopeful for Atomfall. I loved AC Odyssey, but hated the characters and level design of Valhalla, so I'm skeptical about Shadows. If it's on Ubisoft+ I'll try it for sure.
@Kaloudz that's exactly what they did with GTA5. Premium just to get better textures and a higher frame rate, which is why I think the rumors are true that they will charge $100 for GTA6
The game wouldn't allow me to interact with the left claw for the dragon puzzle at the end of the Vatican. I tried completely deleting the game and deleting all the local saves and then reloading the game. Nothing worked. I would have had to start the game over from the beginning only to possibly encounter the same game breaking bug. What's really sad is that all of this could easily have been averted if the developer had allowed manual saves.
Look at all of these insane game breaking bug fixes! And after all of that they still haven't listed a fix for the bug that broke my game. Released unfinished.
Looks like the extra dev time really paid off. I just saw a review that said during their 50 hour playthrough, they didn't have a single game crashing bug and that they could count the number of tiny issues they encountered (like poly clipping) on one hand. I can't wait for the full release!
Look at all these comments. I love this site. Brilliant idea for an article. Get us all talking. No other gaming site really does this, and if they do, the comments are 75% toxic. That said, I'm really looking forward to this game. I guess 80%, but I hope it's higher.
@Nic-Noc20th-C so glad to see someone else loving Dragon Age Veilgard! I'm almost ashamed to say that I'm 16 hours into my 4th full playthrough. It's my favorite game of all time. The characters are fantastic and so well written and voice acted, the quests aren't just fetch or kill and none of them have gotten old yet, and the combat is my favorite of any game ever. Those haters who keep bringing up Dragon Age Origins need to remove their rose tinted glasses and go try it again. It's old and clunky. And to think Origins came out after Mass Effect.
@OldGamer999 I wish Indy was ready when it was released. Unfortunately, it still isn't ready after 2 patches. It's unplayable and broken for many gamers with many different progress halting bugs. I just started it last week and got to the end of the Vatican only to encounter a known game ending bug. The left, light dragon claw from the fountain puzzle wouldn't allow me to pick it up. I deleted all local saves and restarted from cloud saves to no avail. My only option was to start over from the beginning. I chose to delete the game. After reading Reddit, there are MANY known game breaking bugs that still haven't been patched. You were one of the lucky gamers.
Dragon Age Veilgard is a masterpiece. It's my favorite game of all time. It shipped in a perfect state. I experienced zero bugs. The writing is absolutely fantastic and it has the best combat of any game ever. It's a shame that internet trolls diminished it's sales.
Star Wars Outlaws is an amazing game. One of my all time favorites. Assassin's Creed Odyssey was the best in the series. But yeah, the Far Cry and Assassin's Creed formulas are very stale now. Outlaws took the AC formula in a great direction. Smaller, no stupid fetch quests and very story driven with great original characters and great writing. They badly need a new IP though.
It makes sense with the series S limitations. Also, imagine all the Prime consoles they will sell with GTA 6 being 60fps and the best playing and looking by far on any console.
I truly believe the creation engine is the reason Bethesda games take so long to develop. I personally don't feel like it would be a big problem if I could only store 25 sandwiches instead of a thousand. Obviously this guy knows what he's talking about. Every time Bethesda releases a game, it looks like something that came out 8 to 10 years ago.
Finished Dragon Age Veilgard on Thursday at 95 hours with the good ending and immediately started another playthrough as a mage that I'm currently 15 hours into. I just can not get enough of this game. To me, it's a masterpiece.

Christmas 2001. Halo changed everything. Max Payne was also awesome.

@OldGamer999 I find the same exact thing. I have an LG C2 120hz panel and 60fps still moves so much better than 40fps

But is it 60fps?
Re: Talking Point: February Marks Microsoft's First Xbox Game Studios Release Of 2025
@Cakefish where did you read the rumor about a 60fps mode? If this proves to be true, I'll be playing it on game pass day one.
Re: Hands On: Eternal Strands Brings Single-Player Monster Hunting To Xbox Game Pass
