We're finishing things off with a bang for Xbox Game Pass in March 2025, as Rebellion's brand-new IP Atomfall is making its debut on the service - bringing a very intriguing survival-action experience to Xbox fans on console and PC.
This is another game that's had an early access release this week, so Deluxe Edition buyers can play it right now. In this guide though, we're primarily focusing on Atomfall's release date and release times on Xbox Game Pass.
So, ahead of launch, here's everything we know about Atomfall and its Xbox Game Pass release:
Atomfall Xbox Release Date
Atomfall's official release date is March 27th, 2025 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming. The game will be available with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on March 27th as well.
Atomfall 'Deluxe Upgrade' Edition (Early Access)
As mentioned, there is a Deluxe version of Atomfall with early access that began earlier this week, both in the form of a standard Deluxe Edition (£74.99 / $79.99) and a Deluxe Upgrade that's specifically targeted at Game Pass members (£18.89 / $22.49). This package also includes an expansion pack that will be released in the future.
Here's a look at the Deluxe Upgrade Edition of Atomfall, along with what's included:

This content requires the base game in order to play.
• 3 days Early Access
• “Story Expansion Pack” – (*not available Day 1):
• “Basic Supply Bundle” Pack
• “Enhanced Supply Bundle” Pack
Atomfall Release Times On Xbox Game Pass
Atomfall's official Xbox Game Pass release time is 7am PT / 10am ET / 2pm GMT on March 27th.
The team has provided confirmation of this via an infographic on social media:

How To Pre-Install Atomfall On Xbox Game Pass
As we've mentioned elsewhere, Atomfall's preload is now live on Xbox, and all you need to do is head to the Xbox Game Pass app on your console or PC, search for Atomfall, and then hit the "pre-install all" button.
You're looking at an install size of around 30GB on console - and surprisingly double that on PC!
Is Atomfall Coming To Xbox One?
Yes! This is actually one of those rare times when a high-profile Xbox Game Pass title is getting an Xbox One release as well, so you can play it on Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription this week.
And there we go! Let us know how you're feeling about Atomfall in the poll up above.

Even though I've played it on PS5 already, I'm super keen to start again on PC Game Pass
I'm looking forward to it myself but I wont be playing until after Shadows.
Anyone else having issues with crashes? I have seen a few people mention it online but then others say they haven't. I am on the full price Series X version not the Gamepass build.
Enjoying Atomfall quite a lot so far. I think the folks who are expecting Fallout: England are going to be disappointed though.
My biggest frustration is the limited inventory space but that is something that annoys me in any game. Other than that I am enjoying trying to unravel the mystery this game presents you with.
@darylb24 it's crashed twice for me both times during zone transitions in about 12 hours of play time. Luckily the game autosaves frequently so no progress was lost.
I am looking forward to trying this.
I also like that you've put the Game Friend video review here. Craig's video reviews were always great.
@LaurenceJ1987 It's a great review and I'm always keen to support Craig as much as possible!
@RiverGenie Looks like it's linked to audio settings - Dolby Atmos and spatial sounds could be causing an audio bug which makes the game crash. The dev team also asked my what controller I was using so the audio on that could be a factor.
To be honest I did like the look of this but I'm looking at the quality of games I have on my backlog and I don't think it would be as enjoyable to play as some of those ill probably eventually play it though 🤔🤷
Very excited to play it! I'm 27 hours into Assassin's Creed shadows and I wasn't expecting to like it this much, so now I have to finish it before I start up Atomfall. Oh well, that will just leave more time for patches.
Like others have said already, I want to continue with AC Shadows before having a go at Atomfall. That’s mainly because I’ve subbed to Ubi+ and paused GP. I also think Shadows deserves my attention because the visceral combat and stunning environment in particular are really drawing me in.
