I don't know. I hear all this positive feedback about tonight's show, but I wasn't really blown away by anything. I've had a Series X for 1,5 years now but I guess I'm more of a PS guy after all. I haven't really felt any magic so far.

I can't say I'm impressed by the graphics from this trailer, but the end result probably looks better.

I usually have two or three games installed: the one I’m playing and one or two extra so I can quickly move on when the main game disappoints.

@TheGameThrifter Same. The only other gaming device I use is my PS VR2, which is obviously connected to my PS5 console. I can’t even imagine using anything else than a console for gaming.

Only Dead Island 2 is on my long backlog. Wouldn’t be the end of the world if it leaves though.

I really appreciate these predictions/guesses, although I still believe Microsoft really should give us 4 weeks notice at least. Games are different than movies, you can’t quickly deal with them once their departure is announced two weeks in advance.

Finished the first Hellblade, such a good and important game. The making of video made it even more impressive. Finding my next game from the Game Pass backlog now. Gears 5 wasn’t it for me. Will probably try Redfall or Diablo IV next.

At the same time playing some Puzzling Places on my PS VR2, lovely game. I also need to keep reminding myself to continue with Call of the Mountain, but despite the visuals it’s starting to feel like a drag. I want to finish it though before I start Walkabout Mini Golf or Pistol Whip.

Only Valhalla is available for me. I still find it strange that deals are for selected people. I almost never find anything interesting in my section.

@FatGuyInLilCoat Congrats! I definitely had that “Now I played the whole game but I’ll never be able to beat Nameless Puppet” moment, and then suddenly he went down. Such a great moment.

After having completed the excellent Lies of P I started the first Hellblade. The first impressions are very good. Game Pass suddenly started clicking for me the last couple of months.

In between I’m laying some puzzles on my PS VR2.

@Rodimusprime13 Was the trilogy for console? If so, where did you buy it? I would love to replay it on my Series X or PS5, since XII-2 was one of my favorite games, but I can only find the PC games.

Edit: I overlooked the fact that you can play 360 games on Series X. They’re very expensive for such old games though.

Not quite sure which were this year, but if I had to guess I’d say Lies of P (just this week), Resident Evil 2 and 3, Cocoon and Sea of Stars. Enjoyed them all, especially Lies of P! Before this run I was playing on my PS5.

Maybe two or three steep discounts for under € 10, but other than that I only buy games for my PS5. My Series X is solely for Game Pass. Never even used the disc drive.

Only played Death Stranding out of these and the 10/10 is totally deserved. Definitely one of the all time greats.

I only played Resident Evil 2 and 3, the rest got added before 2024. Both great games though, especially 2.

Lies of P, love it! I just best Laxasia, I think I’m reaching the end. Best game I’ve played on GP so far.

In the case of Valhalla, does it seem “unlikely” it will leave next month or that it will leave altogether? I’d like to play it, but since this will takes months and months I want to be sure it will stay on long enough.

I played it at launch and immediately quit when it was clear the game wasn’t finished. Last month I returned to the game and I was amazed it hardly evolved in the meantime. The single player campaign still feels so empty, compared to GT7: practice laps, race, upgrade, repeat.

It still frustrates me that they removed this option to simply add a game to your Play Later list from your mobile phone. Why even bother having an app when you need to turn on your console for something as basic as this?

@Fiendish-Beaver I was quite bored by the campaign actually. It definitely isn’t as engaging as the Arkham games

Does anyone know how you can see your “play later” list on mobile? It was included in the Game Pass app for iPhone but I don’t see it in the general app now that the GP app is ended.

Totally off-topic question: Does anyone know if/how you can add GP games to your “play later” list? I don’t see the option anymore now GP is integrated in the general iOS app (it was a function in the standalone app that’s not usable anymore).

@StylesT Then they should have delivered a better review product. The version you send to the reviewers should normally be the version the reviews are based on.

So why not write an honest review now, weighing in the state is was initially delivered in (your review copy)? Waiting till it gets better and writing a review about THAT version only fuels developers to not take launch versions seriously.

@Kraven Thanks for this insight! The game had totally gone past me and I also don’t know the series, but after reading this and watching some videos I’ll definitely play it.

Tried Forza Motorsport for a couple of hours, hoping it would have been better by now. Unfortunately it still doesn’t come close to Gran Turismo 7 (yet). The single player campaign is just so repetitive and it never gives me that next gen feeling GT7 does.

Instead started playing Cocoon, such an inventive and addictive little game! You can feel the sheer passion of the makers in every level. I do need some online help every now and then, but it’s still very rewarding figuring out most of the puzzles.

I’m not getting any personal deals (yet).

If one game deserves a 10/10 rating it’s Death Stranding. A true masterpiece.

Easy: Starfield. That first time taking off was magical.

Just finished the brilliant Resident Evil 2 remake again. In the mean time I bought a really cool new television which I’m enjoying with some Forza Motorsport at the moment.

Fantastic game. And I’m actually quite impressed by the Series S images (or disappointed in the X). I hardly see any difference.

Good for Xbox gamers that haven’t played it yet! Definitely one of the best games I played in the last 25 years.

Halo. I’m relatively new to the Xbox family as mainly a PlayStation gamer and I just found it too… flat? Didn’t grab me at all.

Resident Evil 2. Still such a great game.

@FMT I don’t know. I have a regular sized head but it presses a lot against my ears.

For me the main problem with the current one is its lack of comfort. I can wear my PS5 headset comfortably for hours but with this one it hurts after a while. I read nothing about any improvements in this field.

I visit this site multiple times a day but didn’t even know there was an event.
