Update []: Microsoft has started to reveal the games leaving Xbox Game Pass in February 2025, so we've updated the table below with a bunch of confirmations.
Original Story: What's leaving Xbox Game Pass in February 2025? Well, Microsoft hasn't confirmed anything just yet, but based on some games that were added to the service this time last year, we can at least make a few predictions ahead of time.
We know that a lot of Xbox users want more advance notice of games leaving Xbox Game Pass, but Microsoft usually gives us around two weeks right now - and don't forget, publishers sometimes secure late deals with Microsoft to keep their games on Game Pass, even after they've been announced to be leaving!
So, before we take a look at the following list of potential games leaving Xbox Game Pass in February 2025, we want to stress that nothing has been confirmed yet, and this will not be a 100% accurate list by any means. Some of these games might leave, some of these games might stay, and many others might be added to the list.
The most common (but definitely not the only) trend with Xbox Game Pass seems to be that games stick around for one year, so we've gone back to February 2024 to look at the games that were added to Game Pass at the time. That said, we've also added a few games from the February 2023 list as well. Based on those original announcements, here's what we think could potentially leave Xbox Game Pass in February 2025:
Date It Joined Xbox Game Pass | Game | Platform |
February 2, 2023 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 14, 2023 | Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord | Console, PC, Cloud |
February 15, 2023 | Cities: Skylines Remastered | Console, PC, Cloud |
February 28, 2023 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 2, 2024 | Persona 3 Reload | Console, PC, Cloud |
February 6, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 7, 2024 | Train Sim World 4 | Console, PC, Cloud |
February 13, 2024 | Resident Evil 3 | Console, PC, Cloud |
February 14, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 15, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 15, 2024 | PlateUp! | Console, PC, Cloud |
February 20, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 20, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 22, 2024 | Bluey: The Videogame | Console, PC, Cloud |
February 22, 2024 | Dead Island 2 | Console, Cloud |
February 27, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 28, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
February 29, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud |
As usual, there could be plenty of additions to this list, and a few of these games might stick around for Xbox Game Pass for even longer, but it seems likely that we'll lose at least some of these in February 2025. Our predictions usually turn out to be anywhere from 30%-80% correct - you never know how accurate they'll be!
Of course, we've only just kicked off January 2025's Xbox Game Pass lineup, which includes some great additions towards the end of the month, as well as six games leaving on the 15th. Another batch will leave on the 31st, and you can find our predictions article for January elsewhere on Pure Xbox (check the related section below).
Which of these games do you think will leave Xbox Game Pass in February 2025? Tell us down below.

Only Dead Island 2 is on my long backlog. Wouldn’t be the end of the world if it leaves though.
I really appreciate these predictions/guesses, although I still believe Microsoft really should give us 4 weeks notice at least. Games are different than movies, you can’t quickly deal with them once their departure is announced two weeks in advance.
@Darude84 totally agree I think it would boost play more on them too as some come up I would play but know won’t have time. But maybe they hope you start and then have to buy. Dead island is worth the play it’s fun
Dead Island 2 is rather addictive gameplay wise. I can't believe it took me less than two weeks to finish the singleplayer part.
I can't believe that it's been almost one year since Maneater has returned. I'll take a crack at it on Xbox despite claiming a free Epic copy
If you've never played Darkest Dungeon, you owe it to yourself to at least fire it up once to listen to the Wayne June narration. It's INCREDIBLE.
Similarly and yet not at all similarly, Maneater is worth a play just for the Chris Parnell narration 😂
Dammit!! Dead island 2 goes craaazy!! Its so fun!! Need to try the new horde mode thing they added and get my fill before its gone.
Definitely recommend this if you like a well designed, fun and overall pretty dope ass game!!!
Persona 3 Reload WILL go. Looking back at all previous Persona games, they are only on the service for 12 months.
Dead Island 2 was huge surprise for me. Played heck out of it.
Okay, Indivisible I’ve played and had fun with, Bloodstained I would love to stay for a little while (cause I’m stuck on the first boss) but if ToA leaves I swear to actual god I’m rioting
I literally got that game on gamepass like two days ago and I don’t think I’m even close to finishing the game 😭
(If anyone’s curious at what point I’m at, I currently have quick resume set up in the middle of a boss fight with the T-Rex thing Almeidrea summons)
