It's an extremely busy day for Xbox Game Pass today, with no less than seven additions being added across all tiers of the service! For Game Pass Ultimate members though, there are only a couple of titles to get excited about.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled and Dungeons Of Hinterberg's new Xbox One version are the Game Pass Ultimate additions, while Xbox Game Pass Core is getting three titles (Crash, DayZ and Goat Simulator) and Xbox Game Pass Standard is getting four titles (Crash, Forza Motorsport, Hauntii and HUMANITY).
Yes, we understand the irritation that comes with so many Core and Standard additions, but don't forget we've got another four Xbox Game Pass Ultimate additions soon too - as detailed in our December 2024 Xbox Game Pass guide.
Let's break down these seven Xbox Game Pass titles along with their respective new tiers:
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled (Console for all tiers of Game Pass)
Crash is back in the driver’s seat! Get ready to go fur-throttle with Crash™ Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. It’s the authentic CTR experience plus a whole lot more, now fully-remastered and revved up to the max.
DayZ (Xbox Game Pass Core)
How long can you survive a post-apocalyptic world? A land overrun with an infected "zombie" population, where you compete with other survivors for limited resources. Will you team up with strangers and stay strong together? Or play as a lone wolf to avoid betrayal? This is DayZ – this is your story.
Dungeons of Hinterberg (New Xbox One version for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate)
Armed with a sword and a tourist guide, explore the beautiful alpine village of Hinterberg and uncover the magic hidden within its dungeons! Master magic, solve puzzles, slay monsters; all this and more await you in Hinterberg!
Forza Motorsport (Xbox Game Pass Standard)
Out-build the competition in Career. Race the globe in Multiplayer. Compete in over 500 cars on 27 world-famous tracks – now featuring the exhilarating Nürburgring Nordschleife!
Goat Simulator (Xbox Game Pass Core)
Goat Simulator is the latest in goat simulation technology, bringing next-gen goat simulation to YOU. You no longer have to fantasize about being a goat, your dreams have finally come true! WASD to write history.
Hauntii (Xbox Game Pass Standard)
An action adventure about a ghost’s journey through the afterlife. Possess enemies and the environment and fend off hostile spirits in pursuit of starry fragments from a past life.
Humanity (Xbox Game Pass Standard)
A unique blend of puzzle-solving and action-platforming. Play a lone Shiba Inu charged with commanding massive, marching crowds to the goal in Story Mode, or browse a wide array of user-made levels crafted via the in-game Stage Creator!

So it’s actually 1 new game?
6 others moved around subs?
I dislike the way MS announce game pass titles now. They need to split the announcements up.
@FraserG psssssst, it's December 4th.
@Markatron84 You never saw that 🤫😅
@PsBoxSwitchOwner They won't because this fools enough people into thinking they are still getting the same amount of games as before. The majority of casuals on gamepass don't pay attention to what was added 6-12 months ago, especially if it's something they didn't play when it was added.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner CTR is just a last gen game pushed out the door to appease "no activision games" crowd. I am sure the only thing they checked for current gen series console was that the mtx store still functions.
I'll definitely give CTR a go tonight my daughter will love it as well!
Forza Motorsport is a nice addition for those on Standard rather than Ultimate. Not perfect but pretty polished nowadays - Series X visuals (4K performance mode) often look sharper and more detailed than GT7 on my PS5Pro.
It still frustrates me that they removed this option to simply add a game to your Play Later list from your mobile phone. Why even bother having an app when you need to turn on your console for something as basic as this?
1 game for us top tier 🤣ðŸ˜ðŸ˜¥
@RiverGenie I’m not bothered what game it is, the headline made it sound like there was 7 games being added (not pure Xbox fault) when in reality it’s 1.
I think MS should announce them all separately so no confusion, no questions to be asked. Make it simple.
Sad that CTR isn't cross play, would have gotten my friends to try it.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner Microsoft is milking it pretty hard aren't they
Nothing for me and to be honest, I don't care much as STALKER 2 will keep me busy for the next few months. Even if a flawed gem, my GOTY so far
Never played crash team racing but we love mario kart so going to have fun this weekend w the wife n kids!
@oopsiezz They are now just doing exactly the same as Sony when they announce PS Extra and Premium(and the padding).
Only difference on this occasion they have added a couple of new core titles that doesn't happen very often.
@HeavyHoggJP Same here, will definitely give CTR a go, never played that.
Not great for Ultimate members (although for those of us excited for Indy next week, it probably doesn't matter too much).
Dungeons of Hinterberg is excellent though, and well worth playing by anyone who has access and hasn't tried it. I'm pleased this is getting more people able to play.
Unless you’re on game pass ultimate, in which case there’s literally nothing new today.
Multiple tiers, multiple consoles. It makes a man irritable.
@Darude84 kinda weird they don’t let you shop from the app either
Removed - harassment; user is banned
Well... I played CTR last night and DAMN! The game is punishing so early on 😫 I was expecting to cruise around the early courses like a sunday driver, minding my own business whilst coming 1st place, but NO! the game had other ideas. 🤣 It honestly felt like as soon as I was in the lead, the other racers suddenly decided to fire off their weapons, missile after missile, only for me to fall back into last place, whilst they gained a speed boost. It's a steep learning curve for sure, but really fun.
Don't sleep on CTR I prefer it to Mario kart, always have. If this is the first time you can get it I highly recommend it
