Re: 343 Confirms End Time For Halo Infinite Fracture: Tenrai Event On Tuesday

SacredPYRO

Had a lot of fun in fiesta just a shame there was only 7 levels available. I have seen one guy wearing stuff from later on in the pass and am clueless to how they got it.

@pip_muzz they are trying not to dilute the matchmaking pool. If you play ranked you can select to play against only controller players, but they may still be on PC

If it is really bothering you there is a way to turn crossplay off for all games in the Xbox settings

Re: Xbox Responds To Calls To Add 'Platinum Trophy' System For Achievements

SacredPYRO

I'm an achievement hunter myself and there is only 2 things I would like to see.

Separate base games from DLC, so many games in the past I would 100% and then move on only for DLC to be released and strip me of my 100%.

Second would be a list of all the games I have completed. I don't want/need an extra achievement just a nice list. I think the original 360 dash had this.

Re: Pick One: Which Is Your Favourite Forza Horizon Game So Far?

SacredPYRO

Although I love 5, still feel 4 is my favourite. The seasons were a great addition and I liked how much impact it had on the cars. The 2 expansions were great too. Maybe my mind will be changed when 5 gets updated and expansion. Have to remember that a lot of the content in 4 was added post launch.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 20-21)

SacredPYRO

Forza mainly for me. As an achievement whore I really wish they hadn't added the Accolade system, so much to do. Nearly got all the Xbox achievements, just the Festival Playlist ones to get and the damn Arcade, why is it so hard to find a group. I think they should scale the objectives dependant on how many people are in the group.

Also be jumping in and out of Halo for a few games, after playing Warzone for so long it's refreshing to have a really solid arena game to play.

Re: Video: New Footage Of Halo Infinite's Campaign Mission 'The Conservatory'

SacredPYRO

Trying to stop myself getting hyped but between this and IGNs preview video it is getting harder.

On a sadder note, been loving multiplayer with my friend, together we played all the original Halos co op on day one. Had to tell him yesterday that the co op won't release til next year. I want to hold off and play it with him but don't think I can.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade Xbox's 20th Anniversary Celebration Event?

SacredPYRO

I give it an A. Some of the clips of the Halo LAN parties really hit me in the feels. The start of my console gaming. Nice BC and FPS Boost announcement. No one can complain with the Halo shadow drop whether you like the game or not. The new documentary looks cool.

The only negative was that lame advert in the middle, p****d me right off.

Re: Square Enix Suggests Crystal Dynamics Was A Bad Fit For Marvel’s Avengers

SacredPYRO

@Bmartin001 what I got from the statement is that SE are taking the blame for making CD create a game that their studio is not used to creating. I don't see it as them blaming the developers more as a bad decision to choose CD as the developers.

I'm guessing SE got the Avengers IP to make a GaaS game with both parties believing it would be instant profits.

CD make, imo great single player games and I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign for Avengers, the GaaS part of the package was a flop though.

The part of this statement I don't like is their belief that GaaS model is the future intent of the company

Re: Roundup: Here’s What The Critics Are Saying About Forza Horizon 5

SacredPYRO

Besides the fact that we are all in for a treat, my main worry was how it would perform on a base XBO.

I have just watched a couple of comparison videos on the old tube and can officially confirm Playground Games are in fact, real life wizards.

Now the dilemma is do I stay up all night to play or get my head down early and spend a full day at it? Like a kid at Christmas.

Re: Another Six Games Will Leave Xbox Game Pass Soon (November 15)

SacredPYRO

Shame I never got round to Planet Coaster, installed it a few times but never got round to it.

I'll agree with other comments about The Gardens Between. Really thoughtful puzzler and not too long so if people get chance this week they should definitely check it out.

Star Renegades is cool aswell, nice timeline based battler, really loved the art style too. There maybe a struggle to finish it before it leaves though with the stacked line up coming out.

Re: These Nine Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (November 2-11)

SacredPYRO

If there was ever a reason to be a game pass subscriber that list is it.

Showed some gameplay of It Takes Two to the wife and she was interested back when it released but I never bought it.

Kill it with Fire always had me interested. One Step from Eden looks cool, I loved MegaMan Battle Network. I'm gonna hold off on GTA and buy the trilogy, probably after Christmas. And of course FORZA!!!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 30-31)

SacredPYRO

Just finished Aragami 2, was a great game but they filled it out way too much. Would have been a better experience with 25ish levels not 50. Story was nothing exciting but can't beat a good old fashioned sneak em up.

Anyway this weekend was set aside for Echo Generation but after a couple of hours on it last night it's not for me. So instead I'm going to give Biomutant a spin, see if it appeals. Then the usual Back 4 Blood and Sea of Thieves.

Re: Random: Xbox Shows Off Craig's Incredible Transformation In Halo Infinite

SacredPYRO

When all this started I thought to myself "No big deal, not like I'm going to see much detail when in a firefight with grenades and such happening everywhere" which is true to a point. Then I realised I spend a lot of time in FPS games looking at piles of corpses I've created and realised this will actually matter to me. Am I the only one?

Anyway, looks incredible now. Good work.

Re: Xbox's Comments About 'Gatekeeping' Are Met With Heavy Criticism

SacredPYRO

@Spiders This comment 💯

I think Microsoft should be proud of the strides they have made in making "gaming for everyone" They are not talking about exclusives, that will always be an industry standard as part of the business model.

Microsoft with the likes of cloud gaming, Xbox and PC game versions with one purchase, adaptive controllers and (as in the article you linked) difficulty settings means more people can enjoy the hobby of gaming which we all love so much.

Re: Xbox Series X|S Demand Leads To 16% Increase In Gaming Revenue For Microsoft

SacredPYRO

@Dezzy70 although I do agree that MS has over estimated the demand for the Series S I still firmly believe it has got them sales they would not otherwise have achieved. The majority of my gaming friends are all PS, always have been. This generation some have invested in a Series S to go with their PS5, they would not have forked out full whack for a Series X as a second console so that's money in MSs pocket that wasn't there last gen.

On the same note if Sony ever dropped a Series S counterpart I would snap one up in a heartbeat.

Re: Roundup: Here's What's Coming To Xbox In November 2021

SacredPYRO

There just isn't enough time. Forza will take up most of my gaming. Will dabble in Battlefield with the 10 hour trial, beta didn't sell it enough for me. I want Jurassic World 2 but it will hit GP or GWG eventually like the first one did. GTA can wait til after Christmas. Evil Genius 2 looks fun so I'll be jumping in there. I don't think I'll bother with Vanguard, want to see how the new Warzone shapes up first, Black Ops has slowly killed it off imo. On top of that I'm sure there will be some GP gems coming out too, I want to play Moonglow Bay but after some comments on here I will wait for a patch. Also tempted by NHL after playing some of the trial and the season starting now, but may wait til next year to see some actual leaps in gameplay.

Re: Xbox, GeForce Now: How To Play PC Games On Your Console

SacredPYRO

Just checked the available games and all I've got is Blood Bowl 1&2, a 1 hour session isn't enough. The rest of the games in my steam library are vintage as that's all my potato is capable of.

Cool for people who can use it though. I might test it out and see if there's anything I fancy playing if it is robust enough.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 23-24)

SacredPYRO

Phoenix Point has got a little stale. Last week I was hooked but now its dragging. The strategy layer is so deep and engaging but the combat missions are just a bit dull and always feel the same. It also needs some music for some atmosphere.

Anyway, giving that a break for now and decided to finally start Aragami 2. Wish I had done earlier, old school stealth em up and so relaxing. Loving it so far.

Back 4 Blood will get some more love this weekend too.

Re: Poll: Are You Buying GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition?

SacredPYRO

Will definitely be buying this. It's been far too long since I played 3 and VC. Don't think it will be a day one purchase though just because Forza and Halo will see me through until at least after new year.

I know some people don't like the notion of remasters but I am stoked to be able to add these to my digital collection. Would be nice to have access to the 2D originals aswell on modern consoles.

Re: Best GTA Xbox Games: Our Picks For The Top Grand Theft Auto Titles

SacredPYRO

GTA 3 for me. Not that I haven't enjoyed them all but the pure shock and awe of the series jumping from top down to a full 3D city will always stay with me. So looking forward to jumping back in after not being able to play if for how ever many years. Think I can still remember a fair amount of hidden packages too.

I know all 3 games are going to rotate through game pass (especially with 3 launching on PS) but I'm going to have to buy this set digitally so I can play them in order and at my own pace.

Re: Xbox Exec Admits PlayStation Has Been 'Out In Front' With 'A Certain Kind Of Game'

SacredPYRO

It's a long read but I for one have thoroughly enjoyed this comments thread, cheers guys.

I hope Xbox doesn't try to copy the Sony formula, just let their teams make the games they want to make. Passion = quality. The Sony studios make great games already, all Xbox has to do is support its own studios to get the same results.

There's more than enough to be hyped about at the moment, coming from all three console sides

Re: Forza Horizon 5 Looks 'Very Good' On Xbox One, Enthuses Playground Games

SacredPYRO

I like how in the interview he spoke about how developers optimise a game for the lowest PC spec they can and how making an Xbox One version is no different. This should go against people that argue the Series S will hold back development.

Same with PlayStation saying GoW and Horizon:FW will now be on PS4 aswell. Both games will still look phenomenal on PS4 and it won't take anything away from how they look/play on PS5
