The Gardens Between is a sweet, clever little puzzler with some cool mechanics, really got the gears going!
I did it for the achievements, but the overall game and story stuck with me and the ending was quite poignant
Of the 3 games I wanted to play I own 1 on ps4 and 1 on ps5. River city girls is a shame though, wanted to play that but not in the mood for it yet. Maybe if it’s like super short I’ll install and play it tomorrow.
@darkswabber River city girls is approx 12 to 15 hours completion
Welp, gonna have to buy Plant Coaster. Too amazing to lose access.
@Widey85 I agree! I enjoyed the game more than I expected and I liked the puzzles.
It’s an easy one to complete before it leaves GP and it’s worth the time if you haven’t had the chance to play it.
@Mamabear Yep the relationship between the two was pretty moving, and their different mechanics made the puzzles fun to solve (although a complete headscratcher sometimes - it took me a while to figure out sometimes I had to rewind and redo!)
I wanted to love Planet Coaster so much. It was my most hyped launch game. But ever time i picked it up I'd barely touch it and put it down. I think on PC it would be an amazing experience. But with a controller, the interface is just too clunky to enjoy for me. When it takes 10 tries to get the UI to do what you're trying to do with it, it just doesn't feel like a good use of time. Such a cool setup overall though.
Shame I never got round to Planet Coaster, installed it a few times but never got round to it.
I'll agree with other comments about The Gardens Between. Really thoughtful puzzler and not too long so if people get chance this week they should definitely check it out.
Star Renegades is cool aswell, nice timeline based battler, really loved the art style too. There maybe a struggle to finish it before it leaves though with the stacked line up coming out.
@NEStalgia a USB keyboard is your friend in this situation. I also tried it with the controller and struggled, but really enjoyed it with muse and keyboard. Just shelled out the cash to keep it as its too good to loose.
I wish they'd give more notice for stuff leaving. A month would at least let -most- games be played through to completion.
Damn, I really liked Star Renegades. Easy to play on cloud, doesn't take long to play a session and move on. Real shame.
@NEStalgia I'm not sure if it is where the issue is, but I found the keyboard attachment for the Xbox has been a huge help for me.
Time to get a move on with River City Girls if I have time. I could make time but this month is stacked already.
@InterceptorAlpha they still make those?!?! Weird, just by random coincidence I was just looking at my old 360 one and pushing buttons for goggles. Found it in an old box!
@NEStalgia there are third party ones that are still new. I actually bought this one second hand. To makes things better, especially if you're not using a Series controller like me, the X1 key takes. Screen shot and the X2 key takes a video clip.
Ff8 is leaving? I was planning on playing that 1 day.
@ChopperCampbell Thanks for the tip, just like @NESsalgia I had real issues with the controller in Planet Coaster, didn't know it had keyboard/mouse support , defintely gonna try it again the next two weeks and see if it's better, cause it looks great.
@CutchuSlow always a shame when this happens. Imho it’s worth the price now or it’s often on sale for £7.99 every few months.
If you fancy playing any of the others they’ve been coming one every 3 months and staying for 1 year so the next ones to go will likely be
@themightyant thanks for this. Guess I'll play ff12 when I renew my game pass.
@CutchuSlow No worries. Playing FF12 now and it's great, going through them all slowly as they appear on Game Pass. I missed FF VII so I feel your pain
