Re: Former Xbox Game Pass Title 'Second Extinction' Is Being Permanently Delisted

SacredPYRO

Man did we have some fun with this when it first launched, but the lack of content made us leave pretty early. It was a fun 2 weeks though.

It makes you wonder if game preview is actually a benefit to games? Had this released later with more content the player base may have stuck around. Instead my and my friends put around 10 hours in to it, had seen all it had to offer and then never even thought about going back to it.

Re: Starfield Has Already Surpassed 10 Million Players

SacredPYRO

Just about to hit the 100 hour mark in my play through. I've done all the faction questlines and looking at the achievement list I'm about halfway through the main story.

So many times I set myself a target for a play session then 3 hours later I'm turning the Xbox off knowing I did absolutely nothing I set out to do πŸ˜‚

Re: Pick One: Which Is The Best Bethesda Game Studios RPG?

SacredPYRO

@romando you nailed it. Everything about Morrowind was groundbreaking stuff. I don't think another game will ever give me the same wow factor again.

Add in the fact that the construction set provided was super easy to use and it will forever be one of my all time faves.

Oblivion's and Skyrjms RPG elements always felt dumbed down to me in comparison.

Re: Todd Howard Explains Why There Aren't Any Land Vehicles In Starfield

SacredPYRO

@StonyKL In case you didn't know you can fast travel to another landing site without first having to go back to your ship.

It's a double edge sword really in terms of land vehicles. They would be great for the Barron, rocky wastelands but now I've been to a lot more planets with life there is no way vehicles could move around the forests.

Re: Starfield Has A New 'Phil Spencer' Mod, And It's Absolutely Ridiculous

SacredPYRO

@tallythwack the ship builder is incredible once you get the hang of it. There's no hand holding with it just an errors list that tells you if modules aren't attached or you haven't got enough landing thruster power etc.

I've spent at least 3 hours building my ship and it was well worth it. You are right though, different vendors have different parts aside from the common stuff, you also have to upgrade your ship building skill to use them all. I am hoping to find a vendor that has everything in stock somewhere to make life easier.

Re: Poll: Starfield Explorers, What Do You Think Of Fast Travel So Far?

SacredPYRO

The fast travelling doesn't bother me but I have got a couple of negatives.

It needs some sort of vehicle/mount for surface exploration. The lifeless planets are so boring to get around. I don't mind walking on the planets with life though as there's plenty to see/scan.

The space part of the game feels bolted on. You fast travel to a planet just to see a big picture of it and chance of a random encounter. The combat is fun though when it does kick in.

I'm in love with the ship building, it's awesome. I spent an hour yesterday building an incredible looking ship to only realise I can't afford it πŸ˜‚ would be nice to save "blueprints"

Re: Roundup: Here's What The Critics Think Of Starfield So Far

SacredPYRO

@CallMeDuraSouka I read the Destructoid review and it made me feel a little sick inside πŸ˜‚

I always find 10/10 reviews suspicious, especially if they actually point out some negatives. Surely that can't be a perfect score then.

Regardless, I don't pay much attention to scores of reviews, more the written word although I do tend to find myself drawn to lower scoring reviews.

Played for a few hours and have enjoyed what I have played. Not really set off on my own yet though, that's when I really get in to Bethesda games.

Re: It's Time! Starfield Early Access Is Now Available On Xbox & PC

SacredPYRO

2 hours til I'm home from work to boot it up. Reckon I'll get through character creation then off to bed.

Reading the lower scoring reviews they mostly seem to not enjoy the main quest line but the only thing I can remember about Skyrims main quest is climbing a mountain and fighting a dragon at the top. Can't remember anything of Fallout 4 πŸ˜‚

Can't wait to get lost in this

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 26-27)

SacredPYRO

Like most I don't want to start anything serious as I wait for Starfield. I don't know why but I felt like downloading Viva Pinata for some chill gaming. Forgot how much I enjoyed it and my little girl is obsessed with all the colourful characters. I never played Trouble in Paradise so I may give that a spin after I pop the last achievement in the first game (Play for 50 hours), I can't be far off it considering how much time I played when it first released

Re: Phil Spencer Played A Huge Role In Bringing Antstream Arcade To Xbox

SacredPYRO

Had a blast on this over the weekend and don't regret my lifetime sub one bit. Even finding games I'd forgotten about just by seeing the cover art. Already completed 2 of the Dizzy games.

I'd like to recommend a game called "pushover" to people here. It's a domino puzzle game and highly addictive. Back in the day before save games when you had to write down a code for the level you were on. I'm pretty sure it was branded by "Quavers" too but that has gone for obvious reasons.

I hope the interface update allows to scroll horizontal menus with lb/rb or the triggers. That is my only criticism.

Re: id Software Apparently Helped Starfield's Team With Graphics

SacredPYRO

@Ep_13 just to clarify as I watched this interview last night. Todd was asked directly if id helped with the gunplay as rumoured and the answer was no. Both Bethesda and id were happy with the gunplay already in the game. The studios collaborated on the graphics only as stated in this article.
