Re: Microsoft Creates Patent That Enables Xbox Discs To Be Converted To Digital

SacredPYRO

Looking at that diagram I'm leaning towards using the disc on a local network. So you could put a disc in your PC/Laptop and you would be able to play the digital version on a phone or console connected to the same network that doesn't have a disc drive. Seems like a good idea if it is possible.

Obviously this means you would need to use the disc everytime to play but would certainly help Series S owners who have a physical collection. Doesn't really "convert" to digital but still gives access

Re: Gotham Knights Last-Gen Versions Have Been Cancelled

SacredPYRO

I think the Xbox ecosystem could have done this sooner. With cloud streaming now on Xbox Ones, their first party studios should be concentrating on Series consoles only.

It would definitely sell more GPU subs for those who don't have the current gen. Even if it was just one month subs so people can play the latest game.

Re: Soapbox: Thief Deserves Another Reboot On Xbox Series X|S

SacredPYRO

I was there for Thief 1 and 2. Me and my brother even made a couple of missions for Thief 2. I was around 10 but would draw the maps on paper and my brother made them into missions. Thief 3 was excellent but the reboot didn't do it for me. Too many loading screens kinda broke the immersion. I have tried a few times to give it another go but it never really clicked.

I'd love to see a collection ported to console of all 4, I don't have a PC anymore but would love access to some of these classics. A new entry in the franchise could be amazing with modern tech, I always felt the reboot was limited by hardware.

Finished Lost in Random this week. Loved the art style and setting but found the game really easy. Tried out Trek to You last night and although the game looks incredible the combat is so boring, can't see me picking it back up to be honest.

On a whim I've downloaded Dungeons of Nael....Nel....Nowherebrook. Wanted a bit of turn based action and although the game is super cheesy it's RPG and battle mechanics are surprising in depth. Think I may stick this to the end.

Re: Outriders Hasn't Been Profitable Despite Positive Xbox Game Pass Launch

SacredPYRO

I'm sure I read an article last year about how PCF received no money from the Game Pass deal. Something about they only receive royalties from "sales" of the game so SE kept all the money from the game pass deal. Pretty scummy move if so.

I really enjoyed the game, the New Horizons update was excellent, gave me a reason to jump back in and try new builds/classes. The lore and world building was top notch in my opinion for a new IP. Looking forward to the Worldslayer DLC and shall be jumping in day one.

Re: Move Over Microsoft, Embracer Group Buys Square Enix's Western Studios

SacredPYRO

Maybe the studios will get some creative freedom away from SEs unreasonably high expectations. Crystal Dynamics can drop The Avengers live service bs and make a completely stand alone SP experience.

More Deus Ex, I'd love a remaster of the first or even just a console port, give Thief another shot. Tomb Raider, all top IPs that require the limelight again.

Re: Xbox Cloud Gaming Has Been Streamed By More Than 10 Million People

SacredPYRO

@themightyant I use it all the time on my One X in the bedroom and it is silky smooth, running on a 100mb/s internet connection. It's great to just go an instantly pick up whatever I was playing when I get kicked out of the living room.

It is usable on certain, less reflex based games when using 4g on my phone but as soon as I'm on WiFi it's great again.

Love the feature and the addition of streaming on consoles as well has been great

Re: Xbox Just Had An Extremely Impressive Month For Sales In The US

SacredPYRO

As others have said the fact you don't need a Series console to play Xbox games is a real testament to the power of game pass. The hardwork that has gone in to making the Xbox eco system something that people want to be a part of has to be commended. Even if the lack of 1st party output is still up for debate (which I don't think it should be), people have to admit that Xbox offers value for money.

Hopefully the success can push PS now's overhaul to great heights and everyone wins.

Weird West for me, just finished chapter 2 and already looking forward to a second playthrough to make some different choices. My only gripe is the lack of voice acting but I know it's a low budget game. I just find it irritating when lines of dialogue appear above people's heads in the middle of the action, if you could turn them off it would be perfect.

Re: Poll: Have You Bought GTA V For Xbox Series X|S?

SacredPYRO

If I could just buy the story mode I may have dipped in to my pockets. I feel this is would have been the way to show Rockstar that people want more single player content.

Hopefully the PS sales can show this but then it doesn't really matter because Rockstar win whatever. It's all cash for them, adding stuff to an old game that modders had already done on PC years ago.

Re: How To Complete All Xbox Game Pass Quests In 2022

SacredPYRO

@Krzzystuff just logged on myself to do the quests and noticed the changes. They have also removed the Install 5 Games Via the App (25 points I think) and Play 10 Games (Again I think 25 points). There is only 1 weekly game related quest as well so there is another 25/50 points lost.

Re: Elden Ring Dominates UK Charts, But Physical Sales Poor On Xbox

SacredPYRO

I honestly can't remember the last physical game I purchased for Xbox. Has to be XCOM 2 or SW Battlefront 2. Got rid of the Battlefront disc when EA Play joined game pass and just recently picked up XCOM digitally for a couple of quid so I am completely disc free now.

Will be picking up Elden Ring on the first sale probably, gonna finish Mass Effect first.

Re: Sea Of Thieves' First Narrative-Driven Adventure Begins Today

SacredPYRO

@nofriendo my honest answer is no. The game is absolutely incredible when played with family and friends but being a solo player in an open world against crews of up to 4 is not healthy.

Nothing worse than doing a mission on an island/underwater to return to your ship and find it sunk and another ship sailing off with all your loot.

The Pirates of the Carribbean stuff can be played solo though as it all takes place in unique instances just for you or crew.
