Welcome to the weekend! As usual, there's plenty to check out on Xbox over the next few days including a new Xbox Game Pass release, a next-gen upgrade for Chernobylite, three more Free Play Days titles, and the usual batch of sales.
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

My backlog is just getting ridiculous on Xbox at the moment, especially considering I'm trying to get 100% completion in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and that's a big game! I'll be playing more of that this weekend, along with WWE 2K22 which just received possibly the best post-launch patch in series history. Very impressive!
I'm also playing another secret (but not so secret) game for review at the moment, and maybe I'll go back and play some Sonic Mania this weekend to coincide with the hype of the recent movie and the Sonic Origins release date.
Have a good weekend, everyone!

Hello. This weekend I'm going be blasting through Chernobylite's next-gen upgrade in order to get a review to you lovely people ASAP, so that's probably gonna take up the vast majority of my gaming time I should think. However, if I do manage a little bit of extra time, I'm going to be getting to grips with MLB: The Show '22. A perfectly balanced mix of Major League Baseball and death at the hands of irradiated cosmic horrors is on the cards!
Have a good weekend!

Hey there! This weekend I'm going to get stuck into Road 96 on Series X, so be on the look out for a hands-on write-up on the site real soon! Other than that, I've been digging back into Fear 3's Contractions mode for a little solo horde action. With FPS Boost added, it's a real blast to play in 2022 and I highly recommend it!
Have a great weekend you lot!

On Xbox Series X, the game I've gone back to the most (on any platform) this year... The King of Fighters XV. Really been enjoying SNK's fighters again in recent years. Also love the Samurai Shodown reboot.
Going back to Minecraft Dungeons now that season 2 of cloudy climb has arrived. Also having a blitz through some of my Dreamcast stuff in an attempt to declutter.
Carrying on with my F1 2021 career mode since it's Imola this weekend. Also about to finish a playthrough of Grim Fandango as well.
Playing Lost in Random on my Xbox on gamepass. Fun game with a Tim Burton like graphics style and unique combat . On my ps5 I'm playing Ys 8 Lacrimosa of Dana. A very fun action jrpg.
I recently finished Marvel's Guardian of the Galaxy and Life is Strange True Colors. After that I started Gears 5. Such a fantastic game!
I'm getting very close to the ending of Gears 5 so will definitely be finishing this game tonight. I might start playing Hitman after.
Just started Evil Within 2. So far so good!
I’m mostly reading this weekend. Shadows of the apt by Adrian Tchaikovsky. But I have been dabbling with daemon x machina as well.
I’m still playing Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands on the PS5. This might make people roll their eyes, but it could low-key be my GOTY (over Elden Ring, which I consider to be one of the greatest games ever made). The gun play and magic is fun; the side quests and characters you meet along the way are goofy and memorable; and the game is just funny as hell to me. Overall, everything just clicks for me and I don’t want the journey to end. Other than that, yesterday was my birthday so I’ll be celebrating with my fiancé, and some good friends and food this weekend.
Twisted Metal 2 (PS) - Still clearing all the characters endings, onto Warthog this weekend.
CarneyVale: Showtime (Windows Phone) - Just starting on this one.
ExZeus 2 (Windows Phone) - Still doing high speed runs.
I'm playing Monster Hunter Stories 2
Hi everyone,
I'm in chapter 3 of Life is strange true colors. I enjoy it for what it is, I like it so far.
Also decided to reinstall Deus Ex Man Kind divided and give it a 2nd playthrough after so many years
Weird West for me, just finished chapter 2 and already looking forward to a second playthrough to make some different choices. My only gripe is the lack of voice acting but I know it's a low budget game. I just find it irritating when lines of dialogue appear above people's heads in the middle of the action, if you could turn them off it would be perfect.
@Nerdfather1 happy belated birthday!
Currently about 3/4 through Yakuza 0. I started the play though over 2 years ago and got sidetracked
Mostly game pass, Tunic, Death's Door, Life Is Strange and Lost In Random. Is the Dark Pictures Anthology Trilogy worth getting? Its currently on discount
Octopath Traveler on Game Pass. I've barely played any JRPGs, but I figured why not give it a shot. So far I'm really liking it!
@Clankylad Thanks. Have read some reviews and most seem to agree House Of Ashes is the best so far
