Welcome to the weekend! There's plenty to check out on Xbox over the next few days, including more Xbox Game Pass additions, three excellent Free Play Days titles, and over 600 games that are currently on sale on the Microsoft Store.
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

Another weekend, another chance to hack into my backlog a bit! That said, I've definitely got my eye on Trek to Yomi with Xbox Game Pass, and perhaps I'll get a chance to try out Overcooked! All You Can Eat with Free Play Days.
eFootball PES 2021 is still my guilty pleasure at the moment, but I have to admit I'm playing it on PC due to the modding capabilities on there. It's a real shame that the series never received any kind of importing feature on Xbox (it did on PS4), and I also feel a similar way about custom music features in Xbox One, Series X and Series S games - they were removed after the Xbox 360 generation, and unfortunately have never properly returned.
Oh, and I want to get back into Fortnite and try the non-building mode, so that's on the download list too.
Have a good weekend, everyone!

Just got RE Village, really enjoying it
Exploring, collecting, action etc.
Great game and a good price on the Xbox store and disc from shops.
Portal 2 coop , finally have a friend to play with
I bought world tour tennis 2 and immediately asked for refund. It's a shame there are no good tennis games nowadays.
I played 30 min of Trek to Yomi which looking astonishing but the combat and story is pretty bland so far...I doubt I'll finish it.
Long story short...I'll go out and enjoy the sun ...
Got frustrated with Trek to Yomi’s combat last night. Will probably give it another go today.
Will being attempting to go back to outer worlds today after nearly a year. And will be restarting fallout 4 today on series x to see how well it runs and if it can hold my interest this time round.
On ps5 side…I’ve been really neglecting my ps5 lately. I plan to finally complete ratchet and clank today. Get back into Re village. And either start replaying god of war or install and start ff7 for the first time
Definitely a gaming weekend this weekend!
Playing Trek To Yomi I'm on chapter 3 now. Also playing franchise mode on NBA 2K22 in between. Once I've finished Trek To Yomi, I'm planning to start Hivebusters at some point this month.
Alice Madness Returns dlc and Turok on x360, and now I have a new 2ds, play some of the many games I bought recently after everything downloads of course.
Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS5. After starting it about a week ago, it's been well worth the wait to get this version so far.
Cyberpunk on my Xbox. It's not a bad game now, but nothing groundbreaking either.
On my Ps5 I'm still playing Ys 8. That's a very good action jrpg absolutely loving it.
On my Xbox I'll be finishing The Wild at Heart before leaving Gamepass. On my Switch I'll be playing Zelda: BOTW
Finished Lost in Random this week. Loved the art style and setting but found the game really easy. Tried out Trek to You last night and although the game looks incredible the combat is so boring, can't see me picking it back up to be honest.
On a whim I've downloaded Dungeons of Nael....Nel....Nowherebrook. Wanted a bit of turn based action and although the game is super cheesy it's RPG and battle mechanics are surprising in depth. Think I may stick this to the end.
Twisted Metal 2 (PS) - Only need to beat the game with three more characters now.
CarneyVale: Showtime (Windows Phone) - At the end now.
ExZeus 2 (Windows Phone) - Still trying to improve high scores in the later levels.
Trek To Yomi and Tunic on game pass
I’ve been playing Sniper Elite 4. It’s the first entry I’ve played and it’s incredibly fun. It reminds me of my love for the (first) three Splinter Cell games I played religiously as a kid. My hype level for SE5 is on another level - so much so I requested time off for two days to play it.
Other than that, I have been doing a few runs every night in Rogue Legacy 2. I beat the second boss yesterday and can’t wait to play more.
I also purchased AC: Odyssey Gold Edition during the sale and will definitely be sinking some good time in that. I played it when it originally released on the PS4 and got the platinum. I haven’t played it since or the subsequent DLC so I can’t wait to try it out on the Series X.
@Kooky_Daisuke that happened to me too mate compressed air did the job cleaning it out and it was all good. Was a fly with me rather than a wasp and it more or less got eaten up in the fan lol
Largely continuing on my Elden Ring voyage. If I have time to play, that is. Going to grind my level up to 100, find the Mimic Tear ashes, and I just realized that you can activate great runes? I’ve been stuck at the Fire Giant for a while, but I visited a friend who is about 3x my current level yesterday (the ungodly amount of hours some have to play games in comparison to me… lol) and I honestly learned a lot just from the 15-20 minutes of him showing off his character. However, I do want to believe I may be a bit more skilled than he, despite the difference in level, having not used any afk tricks (successfully) or cheeses to defeat any enemies.
Other than that, I’d really like to try Citizen Sleeper. It seems like such a niche title that I really should try it.
@somnambulance if nothing else, summon your buddy in and watch him wallop the Fire Giant in 8 hits
@Dusk_Actual lol. He’s told me he’s retired from the game til I get to Crumbling Farum Azula.
This weekend I'm playing Alien: Isolation. Maybe 1/4 through it now. Its pretty okay so far. FPS boost is a god-send.
It was fighting/wrestling games for me this weekend... King of Fighters XV and Rumble Roses XX.
I’ve been playing Trek to Yomi. Love the graphics and art, not so in love with the combat. It feels really unresponsive, the stun combo doesn’t seem to register half the time. It doesn’t help that I started the game on Ronin difficultly and while it’s tough there are enough checkpoints to soldier through. Im at the boss at the end of chapter 2 and it’s a headache.
I haven’t gotten to play much besides some Pinball FX 3 tables…my account wouldn’t allow me to play games online, something about I needed to be signed into my main account, which I was. 🤷♂️
Hopefully it’s ironed out by the time I get out of work today, would like to dive into ESO and make an honest run at it. Seems like something I can veg to.
I’ve been trying to get back into Horizon Forbidden West. But I think I’m going to be done with it. It’s just not holding my attention. I’m currently on hold for e box gaming until I can grab a Series X. I can’t handle the long load times anymore. But when I finally get it. I’m going to dive back into Halo Infinite again. And also get back into Forza Horizon 5. On Switch I’m currently trying to escape Hades. And I just started Metroid Dread. So I’ll be working on those next week as I travel for work. Have a great weekend!
Might start up Story Of Seasons Freinds Of Mineral Town..
Blasted through trek to yomi very beautiful game that capture the old samurai movies but like most people didn’t like the control and combat I button mashed the x through the entire game after trying to block and react to the enemy moves but unresponsive block move wasn’t a good strategy for me .
