Re: Braid: Anniversary Edition 'Sold Like Dogs**t', Says Creator

K1LLEGAL

@Mustoe this game was already playable on Xbox in the form of the original release (backwards compatible). And this looks… exactly the same. The original release was supported. But there wasn’t really a need for this release so 🤷‍♂️. I’m all for supporting smaller studios but not if they are copy/pasting and asking for my money.

Re: Last Orders! What Are You Getting Before The Xbox 360 Store Closes?

K1LLEGAL

Got some Warriors games, and Spyro, probably get the Crash Bandicoot games too. I probably have missed something I will want later, which is a shame, but ah well.

Luckily Currys have had 15% discount on Xbox codes so I have been using them. Makes the costs a lot easier to justify.

Surprised I slept on Samurai Warriors 2 though. Last chance for Xtreme Legends as it’s digital only (except for the PS2 release).

Re: FTC Calls Out Xbox's New 'Degraded' Game Pass Tier & Price Increases

K1LLEGAL

@InterceptorAlpha but if something like Spiderman goes on sale on PSN for £52 you don’t get arguments between people about how worth it it is. People just understand that either it is worth it to them or it’s not. Everyone is so desperate to convince eachother either way about Gamepass but like.. it’s either worth it or it’s not. Simple as that (and yes that changes as prices change or new content is added etc) but Gamepass is the most debated over it’s cost over anything else in the gaming industry. That is all I was saying; it’s not that deep. In my reply to you I was clarifying because you seemed to think I was saying it’s crazy that someone might not think it’s good value (which isn’t the case; everyone is different).

Annual price increases happen for things like Sky. Maybe I was including others that are less relevant like my phone contract (Vodafone, also annual). But the point is prices still rise for services (inflation etc).

It was the same with Layoffs, where (and this was everyone’s damn fault) there should have been a conversation between Microsoft, the FTC, and the courts about what Layoffs and Price rises were due to occur regardless of the acquisition going through or not. So they could establish a baseline.

Re: FTC Calls Out Xbox's New 'Degraded' Game Pass Tier & Price Increases

K1LLEGAL

@InterceptorAlpha you’re making my point for me. You don’t see value in it; whilst others do. So what? Every article there needs to be a debate about it. But why can’t everyone accept that it’s not for everyone, but to a lot of people it’s great. I’m saying it’s crazy how it’s still a debate. Like I said in my last comment.

Re: FTC Calls Out Xbox's New 'Degraded' Game Pass Tier & Price Increases

K1LLEGAL

Despite some comments here; wasn’t Xbox’s promise that they wouldn’t raise the prices as a result of the acquisition. They never said prices wouldn’t go up at all. All services increase prices, most of them annually! So they just have to show it wasn’t because of the acquisition…

Also it’s crazy there are still people like 6 years later debating if Gamepass is worth it or not even though we all have different tastes and time to play games. So thick. But I assume it will never end at this point.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 13-14)

K1LLEGAL

I got my Lenovo Legion Go and so was looking at some “play anywhere” games. This week I have been playing Tinykin and it is absolutely incredible. Over the weekend might try out some other PC Gamepass games; started Lies of P last night but I suck at these games.

Also bought Dark Forces and Samurai Warriors 5 on Series X.

Re: Talking Point: Two Months On, Did Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 Live Up To The Hype?

K1LLEGAL

I really liked it - more than the first. And of course it looks incredible. But if it wasn’t what people were expecting then… wtf were people expecting. I’m not sure it was ever advertised as more than it was.

If you load up Fable and it ends up being a puzzle game then I can understand disappointment but when Hellblade 2 is like Hellblade 1, I just don’t see the issue!

Re: When Will The Xbox Summer Sale 2024 Be Revealed?

K1LLEGAL

Since my Lenovo Legion Go is arriving today - I would love to see the Total War games on the Xbox PC platform (as opposed to Steam) get discounted so I can get some juicy achievements. Seems like they don’t get discounted very often; and I just missed the Warhammer sale in May. Whoops.

Re: Forza Horizon 4 To Be Delisted On Xbox And PC In December 2024

K1LLEGAL

Everyone saying no problem if you own the physical; but there is no problem if you own the digital either; so it’s all good. It’s just about being able to purchase it digitally after this date.

I bought the Ultimate Edition on launch so i’m good. Also got a physical copy. Tempted by the Steam sale too. Incredible game.

I assume PureXbox can see who gave it a “1 - abysmal”… 😂

Re: Rumour: Xbox Could Be Targeting A 2025 Release For Gears Of War: E-Day

K1LLEGAL

@Fishmasterflex96 what do you mean they haven’t had a year of full releases? 2023 was:

XGS:
Goldeneye 007
Age of Empires II
Minecraft Legends
Age of Empires IV
Forza Motorsport

  • Next Gen Update for Killer Instinct
  • Forza Horizon Rally Expansion

Bethesda:
Hi-Fi Rush
Ghostwire Tokyo
Redfall
Quake II
Starfield

And if you like…

Activision post acquisition:
Call of Duty Modern Warfare III

I would say that is a full year of releases. But you’re right it wouldn’t be their full load in 2025; I was exaggerating. Great that Xbox is at a point where they can choose when to release all these heavy hitters.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Could Be Targeting A 2025 Release For Gears Of War: E-Day

K1LLEGAL

If they blow their whole load in 2025 there will be fewer titles to launch with potential new hardware in 2026.

But seriously their roadmap is incredible. If Gears is really 2025 then it’s time to get excited. I still think it will be 2026 though.

I feel like I need a podcast or something to outlet all my thoughts on their upcoming games. So much to discuss.

Re: Xbox: 'You Are Going To See More Of Our Games On More Platforms'

K1LLEGAL

@NEStalgia thanks man, yea I understand it’s literally a PC. Which is cool. I’m just not clued up on how good the “xbox” store on PC actually is.

Is it getting better? Looks like gamepass is encouraging them to become more in-line. As I notice things like Tony Hawks, Crash, Spyro etc are getting added ready for their Gamepass drop. But worrying that they weren’t there already.

Hope you are enjoying XIII. I loved it back in like 2010. Only got through the sequel last year on Series X (didn’t like it anywhere near as much. Played it on and off since 2012 it was that much of a struggle). Still need to try Lightning Returns.

Re: Xbox: 'You Are Going To See More Of Our Games On More Platforms'

K1LLEGAL

@themightyant yea it’s frustrating seeing that plastered everywhere. Like as if Microsoft needs $70 billion in profit over the next 12 months or something for it all to be worth it.

There are so many costs, contributing profits, and as you say assets that form up ABK. The payroll itself would be a huge monthly expense. But nah they need $70 Billion or bust!

Re: Xbox: 'You Are Going To See More Of Our Games On More Platforms'

K1LLEGAL

This is so vague though. He isn’t saying anything here. We know they will publish games multiplat.

The follow up question should have been; “can you give me any specifics?” or “from those released today?”.

I just don’t see the point in these interviews if you’re not actually going to ask.

Re: Bethesda Developers Now Have Stronger Employee Rights Within Microsoft

K1LLEGAL

@TakeItEasy lol i’m a fan since I bought my 360 at (almost) launch in Jan 2006. I have the badge for having XBL gold for 17 years. Not my fault Xbox shut Tango… i don’t agree with it at all I just said I was making an assumption about it. It may have come down to whoever is running Zenimax and a decision they made - maybe they couldn’t be assed to manage a studio in Japan - who knows.

Toys for Bob however is a good thing that Xbox did. Allowing a studio to go independent if they wanted is a good thing. Beats shutting them down.

Re: Hellblade 2 Developer Ninja Theory Thanks Fans For 'Incredible Response'

K1LLEGAL

Finished it last night and I loved it. Clocked 8 hours - happy with that. Could have done with a very short epilogue but otherwise was awesome. I do wish other games would tell their stories more tightly like this.

Definitely a solid addition to Xbox’s varied lineup. This will stick with me far longer than the original did. And visually it was 🔥 - I rarely use photo modes and usually roll my eyes at them but I couldn’t help but keep using this one.
