I don’t get it. There has been 3 main consoles basically since SEGA did a “Microsoft” and gave up. I’m sure it could carry on but guess seems like no one wants it to. Maybe i’m stuck in the past but I love the choice as it is.

I kind wanted it to go through (from a gaming perspective only) to shake things up a bit and maybe make Xbox question themselves (unlikely of course). But then i’m not big on FromSoftware.

I do feel like this website should be called PureJez or PureCorden.

I like him but he has been wrong plenty of times before so his insider is inconsistent at best.

@Jenkinss I haven’t played that game specifically. But this is the unsung hero of Gamepass - having access to the exact same library of multiplayer games as your friends.

For me i’ve always bought games but my friends don’t spend nearly as much. So a lot of the time I would have a game but no one to play multiplayer with. But Gamepass means we all have access. So good.

Since the map itself isn’t licensed - it would be cool to see it get placed as an expansion in 5! Except of course that will get delisted at some point too.

And yes any PS players who skipped this waiting for the #fullslate just missed out on one of the best racing games of all time.

@somnambulance Yea I enjoyed it but not enough to play the cheap prequel. But it was quite memorable.

Carrion is awesome but i’m sure I played both that and Road 96 on Gamepass in the past. I think they are repeats.

Whilst people are overreacting to the joke; I do think it sucks that someone at Xbox thinks they are joking around with Geoff Keighley in particular. That guy laughs at Xbox, not with them. But Xbox keeps going back for more.

The launch games which were underrated (Ryse/Dead Rising 3) and that 2015 backwards compatibility announcement with Rare Replay. Chills!

@Dalamar73 it might be that, comparative to the Series X; but I swear it wasn’t this slow back when I used it heavily.

Anyway played through Samurai Warriors 2, Xtreme Legends and most of Saw this year on 360 and they were all working great.

@themightyant I actually have an amazing experience playing the games still this year on it. However, lack of dashboarding/quick resume obviously sucks.

And the actual dashboard of my 360 is the slowest thing in the world. Does anyone else have this? Like it’s so slow, and then it finally gets to the game you want and then it’s absolutely fine.

@Decimateh Yea definitely. I just went with the 2025 dated games. I like Ghost of Tsushima but people really are “anticipating” a sequel to that over something like South of Midnight or seeing a reboot to the dormant Fable.

Not in the Game Awards most anticipated. Neither is Doom or South of Midnight, of course.

@TeiGekiLord yea MS aren’t saints but you’re missing my point. They are doing that themselves and earning the money themselves. The revenue from Xbox ports on Playstation is basically Xbox handing Playstation funding to screw over Xbox. It’s a different thing. I’m saying they should stop encouraging that.

Playstation are scummy but their own success is their own success.

@Sol4ris as well as slipping cheques to keep more games like Black Myth and Stellar Blade off of Xbox. Phil explained that in court. It’s literally happening and will continue to happen.

Playstation investing in their First Party studios and keeping them exclusive is all well and good. It’s the third party deals that are BS.

I don’t have an issue with the play anywhere marketing. I think it’s actually good. I don’t even have an issue with porting to Nintendo.

My issue is specifically with Playstation and here is why:

Phil Spencer already acknowledged that Playstation would use revenue from games on their system, such as Sea of Thieves or Indiana Jones, to fund more timed and permanent exclusives.

It’s as simple as that.

Making games available to more people isn’t spitting on Xbox fans. But knowing that Playstation will do the above, and then continuing to give them ports to help fund that, is pretty disrespectful.

If Halo goes to Playstation and sells really well. What do you think PlayStation is going to do with that money?

Infinite Wealth is incredible and neck and neck with Balatro for my GOTY but not sure Free Play Days is enough to get through it! (Might be for someone though 🤷‍♂️). It’s also like the 10th chronological game so if you don’t know what to expect it’s also not the best place to start.

The fact everyone seems to miss is that, where possible, Microsoft wants parity between PC and console gamepass. So when they release these games they will come to both.

That means re-working old CODs for the Microsoft Store on PC etc. Including the 360 ones!

If Sony had actually published this they would be benefitting from it but now they get no benefit and it’s on Xbox anyway. Should have got there first but 🤷‍♂️

I want the Total War games to go on sale on the Xbox PC store. Otherwise not sure what else i’m looking for really. Doubt Dead Rising DR will be discounted much.

Xbox probably wondering why they bothered with backwards compatibility when every game gets a remaster. At least these work well on Series X; which is where I picked up my DA2 decade old playthrough and finished it. And also mopped up the last few achievements from my DA Origins playthrough I started in 2009.

However it’s so thick to me that they didn’t try it with Concord. I think it was a stubbornness (standard for Sony) but potentially they learnt a lesson there. It could have actually saved the game depending on how they worked it. But too late now obviously.

@GeeEssEff I actually don’t think it’s a silly take. I think we are at a point now where Xbox and Playstation could literally announce they are doing… anything. By that I mean that everything has become so unpredictable. What crazy thing will they do next? (Nintendo has always been crazy and unpredictable).

This extends to how they perceive success currently so I couldn’t tell you if they are genuinely happy with CODs success or not. And because of Gamepass; I don’t think even Microsoft really knows at this point. COD being in Gamepass day one obviously gives you immediate sales figures to report etc as well but the long term benefits of it coming to the subscription service, along with the “teaching” to the consumer that all of them will go to GP going forward, will take a while to reveal themselves. Think it’s still a long game.

@somnambulance haha Jamboree is actually pretty good (I love Mario Party too). I’m not even sure what my list is yet either but i’ve no doubt Indy will be on it. Kind of crazy but actually feels like this year may belong to Sega & Atlus for a lot of people. I have two of their games on mine and haven’t even tried Metaphor.

@somnambulance knowing Xbox (or at least trying to) they probably set that date because it misses the award show. They probably think thats the best strategy. 🤦‍♂️

I actually think it’s a good idea to support this on Xbox if you want to encourage more multiplayer Playstation games on Xbox like Helldivers.

I really enjoyed Project Spark! Even played the Conker game they built inside it. Was really fun overall and I enjoyed making some levels.

I will always buy for Xbox where I can. And Play anywhere is awesome so I will opt for that too; meaning I can play on Xbox and Legion Go. But it will always be Xbox over Switch or PS for multiplatform.

I think this is awesome. I would stretch for the special editions but $75 x 7 is $525 🫣 plus taxes and shipping to the UK.

So yea… standard for me still at least for now. I actually love these games and want to support them on Xbox as much as possible.

The reviews are insane. Thinking to ignore the achievements and just play through this because they become a bit of a chore with these Atlus games.

Im actually glad these aren’t for sale as I would buy every single one. And be broke(r).
