We've got some cool news to share about the Yakuza / Like a Dragon franchise today! Limited Run has announced that every game in the Yakuza series will be getting a physical version for Xbox (as well as PlayStation and PC), with pre-orders starting today for Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami.
There are two versions you can pre-order for each of these - the Standard Edition or the Classic Edition. The latter contains a premium box, a physical soundtrack, a collectible acrylic standee that connects with other releases, character cards and more. If you specifically pre-order Yakuza 0 in any form, you also get a a special commemorative slipcase that will (eventually) hold all seven games. We think that's pretty awesome!

As mentioned, the commemorative slipcase confirms we'll be getting seven Xbox releases in total, starting with Yakuza 0 and working all the way up to Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. There are no dates for the rest as of yet, however.
Obviously this is a pretty expensive collection if you want to collect them all, but these are all absolute classics that we're extremely tempted by in physical form - especially considering the Classic Editions all connect with each other as well! We'll have to see if we've got some spare change hanging around the Pure Xbox offices...

Thank goodness I already have all of these physically for PS, and smart delivery makes me not care about the disc versions at all since they won’t have the series X versions on there!

I will stick with digital as I bought the physicals on PS years ago.
I think this is awesome. I would stretch for the special editions but $75 x 7 is $525 🫣 plus taxes and shipping to the UK.
So yea… standard for me still at least for now. I actually love these games and want to support them on Xbox as much as possible.
Zero physical again? Sub old retail prices? Sweet!

Nice for those of you who prefer to play on Xbox.
I already have all the games on disc for PS4 and digital on Steam.
However, I will take physical copies for Switch, though.
The real question is: why doesn't Yakuza 2 run at 60 fps? You can't even use FPS Boost on Series consoles like you can with Yakuza 6.
Come on SEGA & Microsoft, make it happen!
Yakuza 0 what a game. For those of you who haven't tried this franchise yet but would like to know what's up; just play this game for the story.
