We've got a lot of cool stuff to look forward to on Xbox in early 2025, including some great Xbox Game Pass additions and even some first-party releases, but sadly there are a few server closures that are heading our way as well.
In fact, there will probably be a lot more than the nine we already know about, but we've got to start somewhere! In recent weeks, server closures have been announced for the likes of WWE 2K23, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance and even the Xbox 360 classic NCAA Football 14, so let's gather these into a helpful list down below!
- WWE 2K23 (January 6, 2025)
- EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour (January 16, 2025)
- Blue Protocol (January 18, 2025)
- UFC 3 (February 17, 2025)
- Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance (February 24, 2025)
- The Golf Club (February 28, 2025)
- The Golf Club 2 (February 28, 2025)
- NCAA Football 14 (March 13, 2025)
- Kartrider: Drift (TBD Early 2025)
The one you may be a little confused about here is Blue Protocol, and that's because it's never arrived on Xbox outside of Japan. It was intended to launch in other regions as a free-to-play title, but was recently cancelled by Bandai Namco.
Unfortunately that's not all the bad news we've got to share. Various games will be getting delisted on Xbox by the end of this year as well, with GI Joe: Operation Blackout, NERF Legends and multiple NASCAR games all set to become unavailable digitally from January 1st, 2025. If you want any of these on the Xbox Store, now's the time to pick them up.
And finally, we've mentioned before how the already-delisted Friday The 13th: The Game is set to turn off its servers soon, but there's no actual date for it yet. All we know is that it'll happen at some point from December 31st onwards.
Sad to lose any of these Xbox servers / games in particular? Tell us in the comments section below.

As a racing game fan. Are any of the nascar games worth picking up?
Wtf? WWE 2K23 already? I own this game and didn't buy the new one because one of these games in years is enough for me.
Did they lose their mind putting this off already? ðŸ˜
Wait, Kartrider is shutting down? I hadn't heard that.
@Nintendo4Sonic how else are they supposed to force you to buy the new one? Release a substantially iterated on and/or improved game? Don't be absurd.
Krikey. I need to pick up Dark Alliance and get through that. Games like this really need a peer to peer network system, so you could at least carry on doing co-op with a friend.
Some tech person on here, you could probably enlighten us to why this isn't done anymore.
D&D Dark Alliance (reboot) was one of those games that was awful, but I had a lot of fun going through it in co-op with my wife and 2 friends. A lot of people might not even know that experience - it's like Mystery Science Theater 3000, but video games.
It's one of the best parts of game pass really - there's no way I could have convinced my friends to buy it, and I probably wouldn't have bought it either.
@Nintendo4Sonic
Ridiculous they are closing the servers already, plenty of players still playing this one. I feel 2k23 is superior to the newer one. Where else can you play as Brock Lesner and beat up on Mr. McMahon?
@Nintendo4Sonic I'm pretty sure this is fairly standard for 2K with their WWE games recently. It is absolutely scandalous, they deserve serious criticism for it.
Ouch...losing Golf Club 1 & 2 with all those fan built courses is gonna suck. The world's sassiest golf commentator is gonna be pissed.
It will be weird with no NCAA football 14 servers up
@Jenkinss I haven’t played that game specifically. But this is the unsung hero of Gamepass - having access to the exact same library of multiplayer games as your friends.
For me i’ve always bought games but my friends don’t spend nearly as much. So a lot of the time I would have a game but no one to play multiplayer with. But Gamepass means we all have access. So good.
