I may be the minority, but im hoping for a late spring/ summer release. If its a shadow drop, bethesda is doing expedition 33 dirty!

No worries, ill just keep accumulating Microsoft points. I do go on vacation next week and would have loved a discount on Dungeons of Hinterburg so that i could start on the ROG and finish on the xbox when i get home.

I got a ROG Ally X last year, and its very appealing to get a single copy of a game that works on both Xbox console and that handheld. More of this please!

The question I have is whether or not Microsoft or third parties go back to games previously not Play Anywhere and add it. Certainly a few titles Id love to see with it.

The last few June showcases have been awesome, so I'm hoping they can deliver another great one.

Wow... surprised this is still relevant! I remember playing Runescape in college some 20+ years ago. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Im not about to spend most of my day logging into a laptop and mobile just to earn max points if that is the way its heading. Its too much of a time commitment.

Ive been racking up points for years now, but if i start seeing this with 30 minute 'cooldowns', im out. Its a shame too, i felt like they were reestablishing themselves well after they took away a lot of stuff over the last year or two.

At this point, it sounds like it makes more sense to pick up another job for a few hours a week. 😋

@SMJ - Was just going to say i'd find it funny to play Spiderman, Horizon, Last of Us, God of War, etc on an Xbox device that supports Steam games.

I believe Dragon Quest III HD 2D is a Play Anywhere title too, at least according to my GG wishlist. Didn't see that listed here.

At this rate it has to be a launch title for Switch 2.

Definitely waiting to see what Play Anywhere titles will be on sale. Have a decent amount of Microsoft points saved up too. 🙂

In any event, I've heard lots of good things about the game, but havent tried it myself. Maybe the next time i subscribe to GP ill give it a go.

I like it! The Armoury Crate software on the ROG Ally X takes all the games downloaded on your device, regardless of the platform you downloaded it from (Steam, Epic, GOG, Xbox, etc) and puts them all in a singular list to select from. I imagine the interface would be something like that. Its not perfect, but it gets the job done.

If it can get GTA 6 to run on it and it comes in at an affordable price, that combo will sell like crazy this holiday season... if it indeed is coming in 2025.

Seeing the Duke Nukem pic really makes me want the 2D games.

In other words, the future is gaming consoles will essentially become a universal game machine, not dissimilar to how VHS and DVD players were. Its an interesting prospect, but I just dont think Sony and Nintendo are in a position where they need this to survive. Itll be interesting to see how things play out!

I hope more current releases do this. It feels great when i can play the Xbox on the TV, then take my game portable with the ROG Ally X. Fits my lifestyle perfectly!

Maybe at best, we get a surprise Activision Blizzard GP drop or two, but not a new release altogether.

'This is a Xbox' campaign feels like a snappy way of just saying, 'We are preparing to fully become third-party'.

I mean, it seems like their plan is to still have a console, and unlike Sega, they do have a subscription model that could theortically keep them in the console market.

Im still skeptical until it actually happens.

Probably DOOM. My guess is the developer direct will give us an official release date, or at least thats what this company is anticipating. If the rumored specs of Switch 2 are indeed comparable or close to Series S, this makes sense.

I mean, i wont be mad if its something else too. Intrigue!

More realistically, it could be an official Black Myth Wukong update, or something from Square Enix. Last year, Square Enix was a surprise guest at the direct, so maybe FFVII remake news and/or more GP announcements/shadow drop goodness?

And there it is. Was waiting for this announcement. Hopefully everything that is shown is for the first half of this year, and their not-e3 showcase will be the second half and beyond. Super excited!

Activision Anthology please. I don't care if its the original Xbox/PS2 version or DLC for Atari 50. So many good memories from those games.

It seems to me that while the changes themselves are good (Im OCD so the achievement related ones were a pain), it also appears that we will be getting less points this way as well, which has been a trend for the last year.

Im hoping for a imminent January developer direct announcement any day now to get another look at Avowed, and possibly find out actual release dates for anything else coming before Microsofts not-E3 video.

Ive transitioned over to the ROG Ally X for a majority of my gaming, but more graphically intense games like Indy and Hellblade II have been on my Series X. I dont get a lot of quality TV time, so handhelds like the ROG and Switch get lots of playtime.

Pre downloaded over the weekend, but won't get a chance to play on the Series X until the end of the week. Might see how it plays on ROG Ally X in the meantime if I have the disk space

This is amazingly helpful now that I have a ROG Ally X to compliment by Xbox. Definitely will use this during Black Friday sales. This list is like 3 times bigger than filtering for Play Anywhere games on their website.

I agree to a...err, degree. I agree that it doesn't make sense for Microsoft to compete incrementally like this, but had sales been higher for Team Green this generation, maybe they would have done it too.

Personally, graphics aren't everything, and they can only go so far. I do like Microsoft's multi device strategy here, but we'll see if their pivot pays off. I mean, based on the recent marketing, they are all in on this strategy.

I think a Microsoft console could still be a good thing, especially if the games you play/own can be played/streamed on multiple devices. I like being able to play at home, on the go with my ROG Ally X, or stream games through my phone on the cloud on GP.

I want Microsoft to succeed largely for the competition of it all, plus I want to see how this plays out.

I ended up getting a ROG Ally X and that has largely dashed my need for an Xbox handheld. I have been thoroughly enjoying it. Unless the Xbox handheld has the ability to play PC games too, it feels like it will be an inferior product to the Steam Deck, Ally, Lenovo Go, etc, which are very versatile, although not super user friendly.

Don't get me wrong, I want Microsoft to succeed because it keeps things competitive, that benefits all gamers. I'm looking forward to see what they have to offer when it's announced and shown!

This seems like a good game to shadow drop during Microsofts Developers Direct in January, between Indiana Jones and Avowed.

I think if any of the established major 1st party titles from Microsoft such as Halo, Gears, Fable, Forza go to another console, i think that would signify the beginning of the end. I just don't see how Xbox can survive as a brand without titles that separate it from other consoles.

This was one of the reasons for picking up my ROG Ally X a few weeks ago... that some of my purchases can be played cross platform and I'm much more of a handheld gamer these days.

I've mostly been playing Switch, but with the ROG, I can play a much more expensive library portable without having to rebuild some of them.

In all fairness, I've seen this twice on the base game while playing on the ROG Ally X a few weeks ago. A quick restart fixed it. I have to say, I was pretty amused when I saw it.

Since getting a ROG Ally X, I've finally able to get into Starfield. I don't get a lot of TV time with a young kid, so being able to consistently play was near impossible. But now, I can play some before I go to sleep, and early weekends I can play on the Series X.

I don't know if I'll jump right into the DLC upon completion of the base game, but I'm enjoying it enough to go back to it in the future.

This was a highlight of the TGS Xbox show for me. I can't wait to learn more about it.

I was kind of expecting to see some sort of update at TGS for the xbox version, but that looks like a no. I'll have to see how it runs on the ROG Ally X, as that's another option for me if I really wanted to play it.

I gave it a B. Lots of new and remade RPGs that I'm interested in playing in the future. Threads of Time was probably the most interesting to me personally.

That puzzle game that dropped on Game Pass also looks fun, so I'll probably give that a spin too. Katamari is always a fun one to play a round or two of now that it's on Game Pass, if that's your thing.

It seems there's been quite a few changes since the last note on the app from July 3rd (US).

For starters, they put a 15-minute delay after using 3-4 searches on both PC and Mobile. Previously it was 5 seconds between searches.

They also linked the Bing check in to the puzzle board on PC, which previously took 12 weeks of 'do 3 Bing searches'. With two options now, it should take 6 weeks instead of 12 for the 1000 points it offers.

I also noticed an uptick in additional 10-15 point bing activities, especially when it comes to specific bing searches.

It's still not as good as it used to be, but it's still a lot better than what others offer. I'd be real happy if there pc weekly bonus showed up here too!

I just got a free copy of Loop Hero (PC) through Amazon Gaming (US), so that one I've got covered. Wanted to get into Ace Attorney trilogy, but there's no way I'm going to be able pry myself off Starfield for long enough to play.

Is it just me, or are we losing more on GP than we are getting? I mean, I missed out on gaming for years so I have a lot to play, but there seems to be a momentum slowdown.

I mean, is that what the masses are calling for? Hard to justify for that price, but thats just me. If I was going to drop that kind of coin on something gaming related, I'd probably go with a Rog Ally X.

I got a copy when I purchased my Series X last year, and I just couldn't get into it then. It's my kind of game too, but I think a combination of things is at play. With the additions to the game since then, I'm certainly interested in trying again.

I wonder what the console industry would have looked like today if Guitar Hero was a Microsoft exclusive back then.
