Last week, Microsoft revealed a huge list of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass - with 10 games initially said to be departing the service at the end of the month. Thankfully though, one of those has now been chalked off the list, with Warhammer 40K: Darktide now staying on Xbox Game Pass. Phew.
However, nine games are still leaving after this coming weekend, so, here's the updated list - and the date for them all exiting the service:
Date | Game | Platform |
September 30 | Gotham Knights | Console, PC, Cloud |
September 30 | Let's Build A Zoo | Console, PC, Cloud |
September 30 | Loop Hero | Console, PC, Cloud |
September 30 | My Time At Portia | Console, PC, Cloud |
September 30 | Paw Patrol: Grand Prix | Console, PC, Cloud |
September 30 | Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy | Console, PC, Cloud |
September 30 | The Walking Dead Season One | PC |
September 30 | The Walking Dead Season Two | PC |
September 30 | Valheim | Console, PC, Cloud |
As usual, you can get a discount of at least 20% on all of these games until they leave Xbox Game Pass at the end of the weekend. Some of these titles may also be further discounted as part of any ongoing Xbox Store sales - so it's always worth having a browse on your console if you'd like to pick any of these up for good.
It's a real shame to be losing this many big games in one batch, but that's the way it goes sometimes, we suppose. Hopefully you all have lots that you're looking forward to playing on Xbox Game Pass for the rest of 2024 and beyond.
Are you hoping to squeeze any of these in before they leave? Tell us down below.

It seems that currently, there are far more games leaving the Service than there are entering. Plus, the offerings we are currently getting are very meagre. It's not like Microsoft are sitting on a heap of ABK games or anything that they could use to stem the shortfall. Instead we are left to pay more, and receive less...
I just got a free copy of Loop Hero (PC) through Amazon Gaming (US), so that one I've got covered. Wanted to get into Ace Attorney trilogy, but there's no way I'm going to be able pry myself off Starfield for long enough to play.
Is it just me, or are we losing more on GP than we are getting? I mean, I missed out on gaming for years so I have a lot to play, but there seems to be a momentum slowdown.
I really should jump into Gotham Knights before it leaves nut considering Shadows of Doubt drops tomorrow I doubt I have time for it.
@Fiendish-Beaver There are a lot more expensive Day One games coming to Gamepass now days, hardly anyone cares anymore about the old games leaving Gamepass this month they have been on there long enough.
There are Day One games such as...
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Microsoft Flight Sim 2024
Stalker 2
COD Black Ops 6
All coming in the next 3 months as well as all the other 'unannounced titles' .
If PS Premium users got a Day One list like that for the next 3 months they would be celebrating it for the next year.
Whilst I understand what you are getting at, @Rog-X, the point still stands, there are more games leaving than entering, and we haven't had a great deal for a couple of months now.
Plus, of course, as is always the case, it depends on what games are of interest to you. For me, from the list you provided, I have only a passing interest in Indiana Jones (it very much depends on the reviews, but I have a feeling it could be another dud). S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, I am interested in. I'm only here for the campaign in CoD (so that'll be done and dusted in a weekend!), and Flight Simulator holds zero interest for me (I tried it when it first came out, and boy is it boring just sitting there doing nothing (if you can get it off the ground, which I struggled with! 😂)).
Thus, whilst I get what you are talking about, there needs to be more quantity in order that something may be of interest. Limited choice, and pickings may well be very slim...
Looking forward to GP announcements this Thursday. Hopefully some good news to fill the gaps.
Only loop hero will be missed here
I tried Gotham Knights planning to beat it before it left and that has to be one of the sh***iest games I’ve ever played. WTF? How is it so bad in every way?
I started Gotham Knights recently so was sad to see it leaving GP. I was even more sad to see it being sold for £55 - even with the GP20% discount accounted for. The game sells for about £10 on every other platform.
Decided to buy it for £15 on CdKeys which felt good value because it's a Play Anywhere title, meaning I can play it on my Series X/S & Rog Ally.
Had a session with it yesterday and realised it's so repetitive and bland, felt like a waste of my time (compared to Zelda BOTW which I'm playing for the first time).
That's £15 down the drain lol.
@Fiendish-Beaver I very much agree with you. I think the strength of the service in the past has been volume, so I was always assured of something new to check out that might be of interest. Focus on fewer but bigger games decreases chance any will interest me. Right now, only Indy for the next few months, and I am not exactly excited for it, just the only one I plan to download.
However, I realize I am probably in the minority on this, as there have definitely been people vocal about wanting bigger games and less indies
I will probably turn off my auto renew and see how things go, but I am stacked til spring so plenty of time to change my mind
Shame about Loop Hero. At least it's still on Google Play Pass. Though I do prefer playing on the tv.
@abe_hikura I thought the same, but at the third rushed session I already was done with it. It feels quite bland compared to the excellent Arkham games.
@outswimmingtheflood just wait for a discount gamepass discount is not that good but its always there
Loved Gotham Knights. I know its not Arkham level but its was a good game. I also got a used physical copy for 9€ because i liked it so much and i am sure i play it again in the future.
This month made me realise I need to get better at game pass completions. I had gotham knight in backlog for ages. Might be a cheap pick up at some point
Valheim was really awesome, and stands out as one of the only games you can host a dedicated server on a PC and join on an Xbox. Had a ton of fun with that one with my wife and friends, a real sense of adventure.
Removed - unconstructive
Aww no way... Loop Hero. I still play that game quite frequently. I will definitely have to purchase this. It's only £9.99 if you have GamePass too.
