Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite Thing About Xbox Right Now?

Blaa

Like many others here, the number of games the series consoles can play due to backwards compatibility amazes me.
Game pass has been my saving grace of my bank account, but more importantly, it opened me to a wide selection of titles and experiences.
The Xscreen for the Series S has been one of the best purchases I made, and I will always remember playing Elden Ring in a Campervan due to it.
Xbox excites me moving forward and looking forward to our libraries being fully available anywhere we are.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Be Interested In A New 'Multi-Subscription' Tier On Xbox?

Blaa

The subscription model suits myself and when I feel the need to unsub, I can do so. Currently playing AC Valhalla which I bought awhile ago for €17. Its now on game pass so I get the points when playing and unlocking achievements. I decided to sub to Ubisoft+ to play the new Prince of Persia game and what I didn't know, was that for Valhalla, it unlocked all the DLC. Valhalla is going to take me well over 100 hours to clear and now the DLC is going to add even more. The sub was worth it and will keep it for 2 months.
When doing some money budgeting, I looked into what is worth keeping and how many hours do u need to work to afford both Game Pass and Ubisoft+. Luckily enough I only need to work 2.5 hours of a month to pay for these. Breaking down my bills like this, has made me much more happier. Have saved so much from these subscription models and most importantly, have played great games. When I love a series of games like Resident Evil or a Fromsoftware game, ill splash out cause I'll replay those game over and over. Play what you want, do it the way you want it and enjoy gaming how you like it

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Hoping To See Over The Next Year From Xbox?

Blaa

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Indiana Jones is like. Fingers crossed for 3rd person, with Tomb Raider or Uncharted style gameplay. Hellblade 2 release date would also be the cherry on tip from the developer direct.
For the rest of the year from Xbox, just a steady flow of releases in game pass and continued support from 3rd party studios

Re: Talking Point: Overall, How Successful Has 2023 Been For Xbox?

This year has been an incredible year for gaming. Xbox might not had the massive exclusives everyone wanted, but where the year has shined is in 3rd party games. Hogwarts Legacy was a surprise for me personally as me and my partner were clued to the screen to 100% it. Resident 4 remake was everything I wanted from a remake and improved on such an iconic game. Separate ways was the perfect dlc and a bargain at €10. Dead Space is blowing my mind on how good the game looks, sound design is top notch and brings me so much joy (and horror). Two remakes in my list there but Armored Core 6 was another highlight. Never played a robot mech game but From Software was knocking it outta the park with the Soulsbourne series, I jumped in. Mind you I got blown up alot and was frustrated but the achievement of overcoming the bosses I was stuck on, gave me so much satisfaction. Cocoon was a great puzzle game and definitely a indie game of the year contender. Game pass has thrown so many little games at me, it's hard to play them all and I love the service. My favourite bill every month and will keep continuing to support it. Alan Wake 2 awaits me after Dead Space so a nice jolly game to end the year for me.
The future looks bright for Xbox and look forward to all the studios releasing games on game pass.
