Ahead of next week's Tokyo Game Show 2023 livestream, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has shared a welcoming message to fans in the region, and those watching around the world at home.

Phil reminds us all that "the future for Xbox in Japan is bright", hinting that fans of Japanese titles have lots to look forward to on Xbox platforms. You can check the video clip out up above, or alternatively, here's the full message from Phil Spencer:

"We're thrilled to be back at the Tokyo Game Show this year with the Xbox Digital Broadcast. We invite players in Japan and around the world to tune into Xbox social channels on Thursday, the 21st of September at 6pm Japan Standard Time, where we will share updates from our studios and a diverse lineup of games from creators predominantly located in Japan and across Asia.

The future for Xbox in Japan is bright, and we can't wait to share these updates with all of you. From everyone at Team Xbox, we hope you have a great Tokyo Game Show."

Xbox is going hard with showcases this year as its portfolio finally starts to catch up with its ambitions. We kicked off the year with the first-ever Xbox Developer Direct, before a jam-packed summer showcase featuring lots of Starfield dropped in June. Xbox recently had a huge presence at gamescom 2023 as well, so yeah, it's been a busy one for the team!
