I finished Jedi Survivor yesterday (quite s bit surprised with the endgame story bits. I prefer the first entry but it is was a good time). Just started Jusant which it is was s bit harder to get in the groove than I was expecting but now that I got there I am loving it.
I don't get what people were expecting. Yes, it has Bethesda jank and the menus are quite bad. Regardless (and bearing in mind I have not played Baldur's gate 3) it has the best narrative and quests of the year (of the last 5/6 years more accurately) and it is easily my favourite game of the year
Does it work more like fire emblem with consequences from battle to battle (even though I am absolutely not expecting permadeath) or mario Rabbids for example. Can you grind to level up your abilities? Challenging or more on the casual side?
If there was a physical copy I would buy it day One, since there is not and I am not big into this type of RPG gameplay I will probably wait for a sale (but with a big chance I just bite the bullet...)
Game wise nothing new for me (I will definitely buy MGS 3 but we already know about it), however the format is a big win. Leaving extra dev commentaries and look out for a QR code after the show is a bliss!
During that and the previous gen I was just a casual PC gamer sailing the high seas therefore I missed that completely (I don't think I have even heard about red ring until 2017-18)
@PsBoxSwitchOwner it sold better than usual and ranked 2nd overall. The reality is the way Microsoft is selling its services it will allways be hard to sell as much as playstation and Nintendo as you can play your games also on PC (Xbox or steam) and cloud. The numbers they are more focused is subscriptions notheless...
I still have reservations on "The physics are perhaps the best ever featured in a 3D take on 2D Sonic, with SEGA mentioning how it’s the same 2D platforming retro fans know and love" as if they are 99% of the way they should be they are still wrong (like in sonic generations). I need to play it before I buy this one.
Spyro, Crash and diablo are up on the list, however what I really want to play is 2 of my favourite games and still to this day the best thing to come out of blizzard aka LOST VIKINGS (and I am not even kidding 😂)
@RBRTMNZ I finish most of my games including some hard games (last year dark souls 1-3) but this one I just got bored by it. I find that every boss is too tanky for my taste and on top of that I don't like parry mechanics so I have to dodge A LOT.
I think I am done with Lies of P. I am close to the end but I am getting a bit frustrated so I think it is better to move on. I also bought syberia 3 today for cheap so I started that. I have play the other 2 prior and I enjoyed them but this one (which I already heard is not great) has many issues with graphics style and gameplay in a 3d environment... Regardless with should be a fairly easy run
Started Lies of P last night and having a blast. I can see it as the best Souls not made by From when I get to credits.
P.s: Fuoco is kicking my arse atm...
As of right now it is best game released in 2023 I have played. I want to play BG3 when it releases on Xbox though. The game is what it promised to be and pretty much in line with its developer track record but with a lot more systems in a way that you can ignore half of them and still have tens of hours in a single playthrough.
Like a dragon ishin is a very good one to be added to the list even though personally I only played Yakuza zero and haven't felt like coming back to the series as I am not big on minigames.
I liked the main game, although as many mentioned the first gun is quite annoying and I ended up swapping to others with toned down dialogue. However I am happy with what I played and don't see myself going back for more also because DLC very rarely is worst the asking price.
I can't really say which I like more. Visually speaking and combat wise cyberpunk takes the edge but story and RPG mechanics Starfield is ahead. My favourite game is Witcher 3 and in that regard cyberpunk is not in the caliber but it is very solid. Starfield is Skyrim in space and that will never be a bad thing. In the end both games suffer from expectations.
P.s: well and cyberpunk from releasing as it did lol
@Nightcrawler71 did you install the 2.0 update? Just asking because that would happen quite often before but now I have not seen it yet. But I passed by two cars on the side of the road in a sort of wrestling match on its own .
@XxEvilAshxX would be great to have you on board. You can search for the club in the forum's section and comment as you like. If you want to get in the club in a monthly faction and vote for the games I can add you to the tag list so you know the timings. Either way is fine. Cheers.
Definitely agree that performance is in need of improvement. It has quite choppy in Dogtown and from my playthrough last year I don't remember it running as poorly in the main game
@ActionPanther that is the main objective of the club! Let me know if you want to be added to the list so you can vote and know how things work around there.
This was already an easy pass as I am not big into racing games nowadays. Said so I already passed on starfield early access although I was looking forward to it. I tend to not but day one games anyways as 70€ is too much...
Cloud will be the future but quite a distant one yet imo. Until they definitely solve latency, target audience is going to be in the thousands instead of millions.
Capcom can say that however in the 80s there was a fraction of people buying games nowadays, there was no digital stores where the profit is almost doubled and no other kinds of monetisation. They can do what they want but there will be a point where the majority will wait for sales (I already do for most AAA and all digital purchases)
This does not look like much... I would like them to fix some of the sidequests that have bugged and cannot be completed (I alone have 6-8 of those but thankfully none from the main path).
On top of city maps I would very much enjoy a list of cities to travel to as most of them incluing the likes of Neon and Akila I have no idea where are they on the star map and just use some of my bugged sidequests to travel to them...
It is my favourite game released this year but I have only played hi-fi rush, Hogwarts, totk and sea of stars. Looking forward to see if I like BG3 more (I expect not as I am not that big into Crpg)
Trying to finish my first run of Starfield so I can move on to other things. I already did most of the sidequests (all factions) apart from ones about searching planets or doing outposts and a few that bugged on me and I cannot complete atm... I believe I still have time to go for Sea of stars true ending too. And as I am out of town today I have been playing a bit o Oracle of Ages on Switch.
Can't wait to get on this when Starfield releases its claws from my neck!
I played the OG a year later when it released on current gen and although not in the same level of greatness of the Witcher 3, I absolutely adored its characters, quests and world (easily the most stunning open world out there).
I will get onto lies of Pi when I can (still want to finish good ending of Sea of Stars, finish replaying the messenger, play cyberpunk dlc on top of obviously finish Starfield and then it starts the era of Nintendo classics...). Gotham knights is one of those games I am not even trying on GP lol
Not sure I will fork for it as I already have two series controllers and I like them a lot. Gyro is something I would like to have but unsure how many games in the backlog will support it as they were not programmed for it.

Re: Bethesda's Starfield Drops To 'Mixed' User Reviews On Steam
@Mephisto2869 I like cyberpunk quite a lot but I disagree the quests are poor in starfield (imo are equally if not better than Skyrim ones)
