Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth (Xbox Series X|S)Another weekend is upon us! There's lots to enjoy on Xbox over the next few days including some new Xbox Game Pass titles, three Free Play Days additions, a couple of amazing new releases in the form of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Tekken 8, the free-to-play launch of Stumble Guys, and hundreds of discounted titles in the Xbox sales!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

Well, it's the weekend of the Royal Rumble in WWE world, so I'll probably jump into some WWE 2K23 to build up the hype. I think it's probably the best WWE game since the PlayStation 2 days, and it's definitely worth trying on Xbox Free Play Days this weekend if you have any interest. The MyGM mode is where I spend most of my time!
Palworld will probably get some attention from me at some point over the next couple of days as well, and I'm eager to finally get stuck into Baldur's Gate 3 now that the deleted saves issue has seemingly been fixed. I've been too nervous to put much time into BG3 since its Xbox release in December, but I'm ready to finally get back to it.
Have a good weekend, folks!

As it happens, I think I’m a fan of being dominated a smidge because well, for some sadistic reason I’m going to try and win a ranked fight of Tekken 8. I’m not sure how fruitful my quest will be due to my abysmal skill level with fighting games, and I’m sure even an AFK opponent could still somehow KO me with ease. BUT I’m going to give it a shot and I want you to wish me luck, please…
Outside of my willing punishment sesh, I’ll be hanging out with Ichiban and the gang in Hawaii. To my happiness it turns out Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth runs really well on the Asus ROG Ally, so I’m planning on recovering from my Tekken beatdowns by beating down some street thugs from the comfort of my bed.
Happy gaming, folks!

Am I going to play Palworld? Should I play Palworld? These are my main thoughts heading into the coming weekend and I'm starting to think it might be worth a try on Xbox Game Pass. The hype is taking over, folks!
Aside from that I don't have too many gaming plans on Xbox, although I might dip into a few bits and pieces on PS5. I still want to get around to playing Evil West on PlayStation Plus (that game is available on Xbox too!) and I've been meaning to pick up The Last Of Us 2 Remastered as well - so there's a few options for me over there.
Wherever you're playing, enjoy your gaming this weekend!

I played Palworld recently, because thanks to the stark comparisons with the Pokémon franchise, I felt like I kind of had to, y'know? I'm done now, though. No more. It's not a good game. What I intend to do this weekend, however, is go back to Hi-Fi RUSH. It's such a wonderful action game and I genuinely think it might be one of my favourites from this generation so far. Plus, it's something I can easily play in the day and my daughter can safely watch, so that's an added bonus.
I might also boot up Hitman: World of Assassination if I get chance. Ever since I downloaded Hitman 3 and all the added content from the first two games, I haven't deleted it from my Xbox. There's nothing quite like diving back in to achieve that coveted 'Silent Assassin' rating every now and then. What a sublime game.
What will you be playing on Xbox this weekend? Let us know down in the comments below.

Palworld and ff16 as I ended up not getting much time last week
Skyrim, just finished the Aetherium forge quest and made the crown. Trying to get smithing up to 100, currently 96, so I can upgrade my dawnbreaker further.
Still playing The Crew before it shuts down.
Forgot how much fun the game is after initially playing it back in 2017. Attempting all the platinums on the story missions and hoping the achievement doesn't glitch on me if I manage it.
Started Like A Dragon last night. Very long intro, but amazing so far.
This weekend I'm still too busy with Trails of Cold Steel III to want to play anything else.
Amazing game and quite a bit longer than the previous two, which is always a plus for JRPG's.
I recently finished TotK. What a game! How Nintendo managed to top BotW is mind blowing to me.
I also earned the platinum for Alan Wake 2 this week. Another incredible gem I highly recommend.
Having completed those two games means my GOTY run only got one game left and that's BG3 on Series X.
HOWEVER, I'm very tempted to buy Tekken 8 so yeah... And to make things even more "difficult" I also want to preorder FF7 Rebirth because I never played the DLC for the first one which comes free with the preorder. I also wouldn't mind trying TLOU2's No Return. Decisions... decisions... Have a good weekend everybody.
Throughout the week I played The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered and got the platinum trophy. I did it the proper way instead of having it auto pop from my PS4 save. I could write an essay on this game, but I’ll keep it short and simple: it’s exceptional in every facet.
I did purchase Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which I’ll be diving into heavily this weekend. I figured it’s the perfect Portal game, and I miss this franchise quite a bit so I’m excited we have a new entry that’s critically praised. I’m only two hours in but it’s surprisingly better than I expected.
Another game I’m playing is GTA 3 (The Definitive Edition). Vice City was my proper introduction to this franchise, although I remember watching my friend’s dad play 3 and being enamored with it ever since. I’m slowly chipping away at the game — doing a mission here and there, and I’m finding it quite difficult. Some of the earlier missions are genuinely difficult. I’m unsure if it’s because of the archaic structure and controls, but I’m slowly adapting. Hopefully, it won’t be as oppressive as I dive deeper into the story and acquire new gear.
I also hesitantly bought Tekken 8. I love fighting games, but I am not good at them. At all. In fact, I have bought two fighting games in the last decade — King of Fighters XV and Street Fighter 6 — and I’ve only played two hours combined, respectively.
But damnit, I am determined to put some genuine time into Tekken 8. There is always a nostalgic factor that comes into play when it comes to fighting games. I grew up with the Tekken franchise during the PS2 era, and I fondly remember having my best friend over as we played for hours on end.
There are other games that fall into this category that I’ll always have a soft spot for even if I know I’ll rarely give them the time of day now. Some of those titles are: Dynasty Warriors, particularly 4; Katamari Damacy; Burnout; and Red Faction 2 to name a few.
So, who knows? My hope is that using the PlayStation Portal will enhance my desire to play Tekken 8 more frequently. It seems to be the perfect game to play as I watch the NBA, or whatever my wife is binging at the moment. I’ll let everyone know where I’m at next weekend, ha.
I’ve got 25% of achievements in Gotham Knights and I’m stopping there, can’t face playing more. Can’t believe how bad it is when the previous ones were all great! Thank goodness for game pass lol
I’m playing some retro games on Xbox (turtles CC, mega drive collection) and Tunic.
I’m tempted by the new POP and Tekken 8 tho
Last night my friends and I played the second tall tale in Sea of Thieves: The Legend of Monkey Island. It wasn't as interesting as the first tall tale, but it was still pretty fun.
Most of my time this weekend will be spent finishing up Portal: Revolution which has been fantastic outside of constant crashing on my Steam Deck. Oh well. It's worth the headache.
I decided to give Monster Sanctuary on Game Pass a second try, and wow is that game incredible. I've sunk so many hours in and hoping to sink more this weekend.
Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Vita) - Slowly progressing through this. I'm at the halfway point at this time.
Real Soccer 2013 (Windows Phone) - I feel I've had my fill with this for now. I may move onto something else.
Angry Birds Rio (Windows Phone) - Last leg of the journey. Then delete it and move onto another game.
Playing the first Like a Dragon game on game pass along with Sea of Stars on the Steam Deck. Also whenever I have some free time I dip into Street fighter 6, Gran Turismo 7 and Mario Wonder. Been really impressed with Like a Dragon so far and looking forward to continuing the series in the future.
Bought Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth but I'm currently playing Judgement.
I'm currently playing Palworld..
I am playing Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and really digging it so far. Playing the Odin trials atm and happy that is not as scary I was expecting.
Like a dragon.. wauw what a game, and been playing palworld, so addicted to that game, love it.
As usual, I find myself out of step with my peers and well off the beaten track. I picked up Oneiros really cheap on sale yesterday, and, while I wasn't even aware of this game before yesterday, it's been bloody marvelous so far and I'll definitely be playing though it this weekend.
Still playing Gotham knights, not the best game but still enjoyable, the bike is ridiculously slow, the graphics are good, the story is laughable, the performance are ok except during fmv, the gameplay is ok. I hope suicide squad will be better.
I bought Robocop the other day so probably continue with that really like it so far though some of the side objectives are ridiculous lol. I've also been playing Surviving the Aftermath which is pretty good but the progress is so slow feels like a mobile game. On Xbox I've started the Telltale Walking Dead games and still trying to finish Max Payne 3.
Nothing for me this weekend. Wife & I are out in the city for the weekend. Might get some Halo or Go Mecha Ball in Sunday night though.
My copy of Tekken 8 should be in today. So I’ll definitely play that. I need to put in some time for One Piece Odyssey too.
Still trekking through Sea Of Stars. It is definitely fun, but to me combat is getting a little repetitive. I never really play jrpgs so maybe this is just how they are? Still fun and I plan to try and see it through the end. I believe I am over halfway.
Tekken 8, Palworld, Gotham Knights, Diablo IV, Starfield.
I will try to fit in some Halo and Baldur's Gate.
I'm also think of redeeming some points and buying Infinite Wealth.
@xeofate Be sure to take advantage of XP boost drinks constantly in Like a Dragon.
My main is The Lost Crown but im also playing Robocop Rogue City and Like a Dragon Gaiden
@theduckofdeath Thanks for the tip, I hear there's some difficulty spikes in this game so will need all the XP I can get
Palworld. That's about it. Not really much else to keep on at the moment until Indiana Jones drops.
On a side note: wow do half of these comments read like bots. Between the bolding of game titles and identical diction, kinda weird.
Palworld for me. Did Ollie genuinely say Palworld is not a good game?
It's better than anything that Game Freak have trotted out on Nintendo Switch and this is still a beta version.
I finished HiFi Rush during the week. A fantastic game that I wish I'd played sooner.
I started Gotham Knights last night. I've only put around an hour into it so far so I've not quite decided if I like it or not yet. Time will tell...
Happy gaming everyone 👍👍
@Kaloudz Yeah, it's good. And just in time to finish it up by April 23 for Eiyuden: Hundred Heroes. I'm expecting to play Infinite Wealth up til it releases and dive in day one.
Neck deep in Rogue Trader. Owlcat have done it again.
Also still playing Darktide and Remnant 2 with the boys.
Playing Syberia: The World Before on the PS5 and COD MW3 multiplayer on the Series X. Syberia is real good. It's nice to play a game where I don't have to worry about killing or being killed. Lol.
@NintendoByNature Loved RoboCop. They need to update the game and enable new game plus.
Starfield still. Waiting to get to Palworld next. Might also start zombie army 4 tomorrow for something different
Twilight princess and halo infinite. I’ve just destroyed esharum.
@Romans12 it's such a gem of a game. I can't get enough of punching baddies and throwing myself across a room lol
@Baler I'm just waiting for the inevitable switch or switch 2 port of TP. I already own it on Wii and Wii U. But the zelda dope that I am will buy it a 3rd time.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. The game is absolutely wonderful so far. It’s so incredibly fun to play and already somehow feels like 2024’s hidden gem after seeing it rank sort of low in the sales rankings. While I still think Dread is the best Metroidvania of all time, The Lost Crown is definitely one of the better modern ones. The more I play it, the more I enjoy it and the more I think it may be Ubisoft’s best game since Assassin’s Creed 2, and potentially beyond that with its sights set on the studios highlight in The Sands of Time. It’s certainly exceeded all of my expectations and I’m truly enjoying it.
Aside from that, I should be booting up Tekken 8 soon enough. I’ll likely play some MK1 and SF6 for comparison as well, though I expect most real gaming time to go to Sargon’s journey. I’m hoping to play a bit of Jackbox with the family too.
@NintendoByNature what’s your opinion of botw and totk? I’m miss TPs style that’s why I’m playing it now I just can’t understand why we can’t have better music and proper dungeons in those two new games it breaks my heart 💔
@Baler well I love them both just about equally. They're two totally different experiences imo. Botw is more tranquil and calming to me. Totk is the complete opposite where it's balls to the wall insane every step of the way, but I love both.
I don't see why N can't have both styles moving forward. Even if they rotate traditional 3d +2d zelda. Then do botw/totk style every decade. I think there's room for both in the future.
Picked up 'Tiny Tina's Wonderlands' expecting to put it down pretty quickly, but im now over 20 hours in and loving it.
Have fun playing whatever you're playing!
I've been smashing Octopath Traveler II. It's very much like the first game, with a few added abilities/passives for the characters to use during battles, along with a set of side stories that actually see the characters interacting with each other. I'm 20 hours in and loving it.
I’m playing Rogue Trader. It’s flawed but I love the 40k universe and it does a good job of dropping you right in it.
I was playing Starfield but after 50 hours I’m done. I was enjoying it and I think it’s a gorgeous looking game but it’s also way too repetitive and the exploration is dogshit. I can’t bring myself to continue.
Back on my bs in Destiny 2, chasing the Iron Lord triumph seal
@Dusk_Actual I need to pull my finger out and actually do Guardian Games this year, to get the seals for Champ and Reveler. I'm not looking forward to it 😂
@Markatron84 😂
Bro I always quit this game and get pulled back in.
Hmmmmmm alright here we go with another WAYP. Been a busy week in many many MANY ways. I would easily say that most of the week I feel you could best sum me up by a WWII solider covered in ash and soot and all that smoking a cigarette with the thousand yard stare. But enough of heavy stuff we here for gaming everyone. And boi do we have some gaming to do. Had a excellent first night with Tekken 8 last night that game is everything I wanted it to be and more it’s so much fun and I just couldn’t believe I’m playing it. Tonight I’m gonna do some more Another Code: Recollection as I really enjoyed starting it on my day off and then after that I’m gonna start Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth. Apparently the first couple hours are like nothing but cutscenes but they play like a J drama so hey I’m here for it. Can’t wait until we get to Hawaii the first time. Also ended up buying Under Night In Birth II Sys:Celes and the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass now that we have a date for Side:Order so I’ll be playing UNI2 on my day off this week and thanks to Splatoon I’m now motivated to tackle the remaining Expansions for my other Nintendo published games. I’ve done all of Fire Emblem Engage so that just leaves Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed and Pokemon Scarlet The Teal Mask. That’s my long term like do it before the end of the year goal. And of course the Splatoon 3 one when it comes out too. Also got a digital copy of Granblue Fantasy Relink downloaded and ready to go so Wednesday might be a double whammy of new games on my day off of UNI2 and Granblue. And of course as we head into February my two hype titles of the month are coming that being Mario VS Donkey Kong and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Not my two most hype titles of the year so far that would be Rebirth and Princess Peach Showtime. Feels good to feel good with all these new games. On the anime front you already know having watched all the winter shows I have some really good picks. Urusei Yatsura, Shangri La Frontier, Frieren, High Card, A Sign Of Affection, Solo Leveling, Mashle and many more but those are just the stand outs and just absolutely excellent. Podcasts of the week are the usual: Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Nextlander, Minnmax, Remap Radio, Sacred Symbols and Summon Sign from Last Stand Media, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast and Windbreaker and Firelink from the lovely fellas over at Second Wind. And of course a weekly WAYP ain’t complete without a shoutout to my good friend over at twitch.tv/akibread. Excellent stoner catgirl with excellent choices in games like infinite wealth and in wrestlers. As always yall be good to each other and stay safe and have fun. Have a great weekend. And Happy Gaming.
I'm playing my PS4 Pro. Wish they'd drop these Yakuza titles and bring in some variety
