Excellent preview!
This was the first Xbox show in 20 years that not even one game interested me. State of decay 3 would been nice.
yay free Persona 3 DLC~
The Answer + more DLC included in Gamepass is great!
The Chucky thingy with Roblox was the worst thing I’ve seen in a while… Who the heck green lit that?!?
I really felt this was a bit dissapointing... There was precious little there that didnt look at least a gen old.
Its good that GP is getting many of these titles..
Am I being harsh? I loved the creatures game from Terry Pratchets daughter, but really didnt get excited for anything else.
@Savage_Joe Came here to say the same thing.
P3R Expansion Pass as a perk for GPU members is crazy.
I can't wait for Kunitsu-Gami, I love the art and premise.
The Alters looks dope, among other good titles for Game Pass.
A.
It was a strong B for me …. Would have gave it an A if there was a game that made me say “I want that Day 1”
@Titntin
I don't think you're being harsh. If Xbox is going to go to the trouble of putting together a showcase like this, there should at least be a couple of heavy hitters. There were a few interesting games shown here, but nothing really to get very excited about.
I hoping sometime soon one of these showcase type things on all platforms will blow me away with some amazing AAA type new games.
That are befitting of a new generation of consoles.
But alas the way gaming is going I can’t see it happening anytime soon.
It’s been along time since one has, maybe something like super Mario Odyssey, maybe uncharted 4, I can’t even remember.
@Titntin hard to say if you are being harsh … I agree that there was not an obvious wow moment however if you are like me your backlog of great games is altering your perspective a tad…
@OldGamer999 I enjoy these smaller showcases as usually the big AAA games in the June showcase overshadow these smaller games…
Nothing interesting to me. Bring on the next event!
@Savage_Joe Felt the same... horrible... embarrassing!
@OldGamer999 well, if you are a Mario fan Wonder wowed me
Anyway, literally nothing for me on this show. I can't even remember half of the games, and the show was an hour ago...
So many great GamePass announcements. The Persona 3 expansion pass and Kunitsu-gami: Path of the Goddess were both huge surprises.
I didn't expect anything and yet I was quite surprised. Some game really seemed interesting to me. I'm glad there are developers who are willing to take risks. The Alters is something like a mix of Fallout shelter and Frostpunk and with a branching narrative which to me is hugely ambitious. Unknown 9 also interesting to me. And Frostpunk 2 is one of the most awaited game this year for me. And by the looks of it Frostpunk 2 is going to be 10 times more complex than the first one and that was already really challenging. A solid A showcase for me. As the name said it's a partner preview and it delivered in my opinion. But looking at some comments here as usual some folks have unrealistic expectations. Those guys must be really fun at parties.
No Dave the Diver. Time to give up on that one and just be pleasantly surprised when it does eventually arrive.
I liked it well enough, style wise it was a lot like Nintendo's Partner Directs.
I do wish it ended better, give the last reveal a little more umpth to close out the presentation. Other wise it just sort of ends and that always makes one of these things feel anti-climatic even if the rest of it was good.
D for me. Not a single game caught my eye, but I'm too nice to rate it lower. I'm sure everyone did their best 😂
@GuyinPA75 Whilst I would agree that there wasn't much of interest to me either - other than maybe Stalker on Console, but the LAST game I'd expect at a Partner Showcase - as this was, then 1st Party Games as 'State of Decay 3' is (made by Undead Labs - an Xbox Studio since 2018)
Its the same reason I don't expect to see any of the ABK or Bethesda games, updates etc here either.
Stalker Trilogy is a great Shadow Drop in my opinion and overall I think it was 'Solid', nothing that made me 'excited', but overall for the Xbox Community, a good show and I liked the format so a C
I didn't really expect anything 'stellar' from the partners - and I know that some will love FF or Persona or whatever other games Xbox doesn't have much of coming to Xbox - even if others can and have played them already.
Along with all the 'Big' Multiplatform releases, the Exclusives and all the other 'new' releases coming, certainly not short on variety...
@Leuke @Titntin I agree with you both 100%. A D from me. Not a single title I’m interested in in the slightest. I suppose that’s it then! Letting my Gamepass sub lapse and waiting til something interesting gets announced for Xbox. At this rate, I may be waiting to see how Avowed reviews to see if I go back to Gamepass.
It exceeded expectations of what I expect from a partner preview. Solid B to B+.
Being 3 months away from E3 style shows its not surprising that there weren't any massive announcements here. My one complaint was that the gamepass inclusion was hidden in the last shot of the trailers. I would have preferred a prominent call out which ones were gamepass.
Gamepass continues to deliver for me, alot to look forward to. I enjoyed that more than their last partner showcase, but really i am more excited for the Summer Shows from all the platforms to see the bigger stuff.
Kunitsu-Gami probably my favourite if I had to pick one
Glad to see the As and Bs far outweighing the haters. I thought the show was excellent for a smaller showcase. As others have said, they’re likely saving the big heavy hitters for the big June showcase. For what this was, there was a lot I’m interested in that I had never even heard of so to me that’s awesome. Add to that that many of them are going to be on GamePass and I was quite happy.
@BAMozzy It would saved it from being the total bust it was.
I came away impressed. Quite a few things in there interested me and was pleasantly surprised to see P3R expansion pass and the 14 starter edition (be careful with the starter edition, it'll upgrade you to paid which means subscription fee.)
was definitely something for everyone in there. i know some kids in my family was bouncing about that chucky roblox thing...
Really enjoyed it. A from me.
Bloody fantastic! I cannot a remember a "direct" style presentation that I liked more in the last 7 years (not kidding). Apart from Chucky all looked good and even though I don't care about 2 or 3 that is do to the genre and not the quality of what they have shown
The style/flow of it was perfect, but I had zero interest in any of the actual games or announcements.
My god this industry is so negative it is really pissing me off.
We have just had 14 games shown with "something for everybody" type games and all we get from the majority of people is negativity.
I watched a few minutes of the after show as well and all they were focused on was the guy doing the narration because he wasn't being an incredibly annoying youtuber practically exploding with excitement.
Then I come here and read things like "I'm letting Game Pass lapse" "Nothing for me, where are all of the AAA games" it's absolutely ridiculous.
Try broadening your tastes and you will have a lot more fun with this hobby.
Anyway, on topic:
Unknown 9: Awakening - Looks good, will keep an eye on this one.
Sleight of Hand - Really interested in this one.
The Alters - This looks really interesting and a great new idea.
Creatures of Ava - Looking forward to this one, looks fun.
The Sinking City 2 - Day 1 for this one as I enjoyed the 1st and adding in survival could really make this one shine.
Stalker: Original Trilogy - Hopefully they patch up the PC versions as well as I have just installed the 1st on steam but want to play with a controller.
Frostpunk 2 - Always intended to play the 1st but never got round to it, I'll fire it up and see if the 2nd one is of interest to me.
The rest look interesting but not really my cup of tea but you know what, that's fine, not everything has to be for you and you alone.
@Savage_Joe I audibly gasped at the Chucky Roblox deal. Like it actually looked so bad. They could not splice that to look good if they tried ;D
Expectations were set accordingly and it exceeded them. Several games i'm looking forward to. Solid B for me.
I definitely didn’t think it was bad. There just wasn’t a lot that interested me personally. It also felt like it was kind of light on Game Pass content.
