Want to enhance your Xbox Game Pass experience? Come join the official Pure Xbox Game Club!
We can't take any credit on staff for this — the PX Game Club is the work of ralphdibny, Balta666 and the rest of the contributors over at the Pure Xbox forums, who have established a community that meets up every month to play a game on Xbox Game Pass and share their experiences. Games are voted on every month by the contributors involved.
The game for March 2024 is Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, which only recently came out (it was released back in January) and is the sequel to the former Xbox Game Pass title, Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion.
You'll find the forum thread to get involved below (it has over 3,230 entries to date!):
If you're interested in what kind of discussion goes on, here's what a couple of contributors had to say about last month's Pure Xbox Game Club title, Sunset Overdrive:
- ralphdibny on Pure Xbox:
"I have very much enjoyed this game, particularly how it plays. However, I haven't been that invested in the story or the characters. The main missions felt like just going through the motions. I liked the collectibles. Tower defense and weapon customisation hasn't really grabbed me. It's been a fun distraction to kind of kill an hour or two each day."
- NintendoByNature on Pure Xbox:
"The beginning of the game was rather cumbersome to get used to. But once I got the hang of it, I loved nothing more than grinding and blasting my way through enemies and traversing through the city. The humor was spot on, the characters were fun and engaging, the story was decent enough, and the combat /gameplay was really what makes this game shine. It really grew on me after a few hours."

Wooooo
And I got a quote this time! 😁
Maybe I should post my thoughts on the last day of the month more frequently! 😀
Already started up Turnip boy. I can already tell it's going to be a fun little experience.
@ralphdibny we may have been the only 2 who beat it this month 🤣
@NintendoByNature haha oh well, slow months happen! I think balta might have played it as well, maybe not finished it tho, not sure if it was in Feb or some time before.
@ralphdibny ya I think he checked it out but didn't get far. I have a feeling it's going to be another light month lol.
Yeah yeah sure but why did you guys cover the Hyperkin "The Competitor" hall effect controller (which hasn't even launched, 7 months later) but still ignore the 8BitDo Xbox controller (already on sale for $45) getting hall effect sticks?
Was that Hyperkin post a sponsored one? If so then nevermind, genuinely thought you liked to cover interesting Xbox hardware.
I played through this with my youngest son just this past weekend. It is a delightful game, just like the first one.
@TheLastHarbinger huh?
@NintendoByNature yah, it did not grab me unfortunately... I will give a change to this one but first need to finish Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed (was waiting for a sale) so I can put on the side of my newest addiction (FF XIV)
@Balta666 totally get it. It took some time to grow on me personally but then i loved it. Can't say how much i loved xc3. Top 10 game of all time but I never played the dlc unfortunately.
@NintendoByNature I was waiting for a sale as I did not want to pay full price for the season pass as a digital purchase. However I was really looking forward to it as I was a bit disappointed with Noah character and going back to Rex is a big plus (but have to say all the main characters in Future Redeemed are top notch)
