GTA and Rockstar were a huge part of my gaming from the PS2 days through 360/PS3 with multiple GTA games and other titles but they're basically irrelevant to my gaming now and have been for a decade. I enjoyed GTAV but its not my favourite entry, never hitting the highs of Vice City and San Andreas and even being a bit of a backwards step from IV. Since then the likes of Cyberpunk have filled that open world gameplay gap and if GTA6 launched tomorrow I'd be playing Phantom Liberty instead
About 5 hours in and loving it so far, it's basically Fallout in space which is pretty much what I wanted and expected. I'm playing on PC and getting good performance, though it needs some optimisations on Nvidia but im maintaining north of 60fps at 1440p. I'm looking forward to my days off to dive further into it
Only had a brief go this morning before work and it's very much Skyrim/Fallout in space, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Bethesda RPG's are amongst my favourite experiences every generation and first impressions are very strong. One thing for certain is that it looks much more impressive than any of their previous games. I can't wait to play more after work
@IOI I can't cope with the pressure of that screen 😂
I've been enjoying this and similar ganes on Steam this year. I'm glad to see it come to consoles and hopefully the likes of Turbo Overkill also do, as that is one of the best fps games in years
@JayJ Quake 2 RTX looks much better overall due to it's RT but enemies seem to be slightly more detailed in this remaster, plus you have the expansions plus a new one and Quake 2 64.
I can't say I care for it, its fun in Astro Bot but genuinely can't remember it's implementation in any other game I've played. Whilst it's triggers are generally more annoying than immersive
Rockstar are a joke these days, I remember the PS2 days when we regularly got exciting games from them yet in just a few months time they will have released 1 new game in 10 YEARS!!! Alongside some dreadful remasters, GTAV never getting a Pro/X patch and now this bare bones port for $50
@FraserG this is the part that annoys me most, I've no intention of playing the online part but not only have to download it but it's also the default mode when booting up the game. Such a sad state of affairs when the main part of the game is treated as the add on
I only got my Series X back a few weeks ago and have already added around 10,000 points to my total, bringing it to around 16,000. I use Bing on my PC and mobile anyway so that makes it easy to get extra points
The FTC just sound like a massive Playstation fanboy account at this point, begging for games to remain on Playstation all whilst they themselves are paying to keep the likes of Final Fantasy and Silent Hill 2 off of Xbox
@Darude84 pretty much what @ApostateMage says and also it doesn't do the best job explaining what all the cyberware can do and in conjunction with you r skill tree choices. Over time they start to make sense but it could be worth waiting until the new dlc comes as the base game is getting more updates to tidy this up and make it better.
I've now done a couple of playthroughs now and very much looking forward to a third soon
@themightyant you should have tried playing Skyrim on PS3, that same issue reduced gameplay to single digit performance 🙈. Still got the platinum though.
I bought the Cyberpunk One X so originally played the game on Xbox at launch for a little while. I've since beat the game on a high end PC and loved it, then recently installed it on Series X and was pleasantly surprised with how it looks and runs and that 10 hour save file will form the basis of my next playthrough when the dlc comes.
As for bugs, I can't really think of any I've encountered for quite some time now, it's nice they're still optimising it but it's already in a great place. That being said I'd still recommend new players wait until the dlc and the improvements drop as they sound like pretty substantial additions
@NEStalgia sure there are many games you can just sit in place but for room space it's a different story, when I was had PSVR2 I had to rearrange the furniture whenever I wanted to play. A wireless solution would certainly have made that easier
At this point I don't ever expect VR to be mainstream, with mobile you had Samsung giving away headsets and it never went anywhere. Even PSVR2 which I think is a great piece of tech only has one exclusive game from Sony for it, plus support for GT7 (which is fantastic) but has no further announced games for it.
Sadly whilst games can be amazing in VR, most people simply either can't stomach it or don't have the space to set it up
I had a quick go of Vampire Survivors through Xcloud this morning so that's now been installed, might also go for a bit of Killer Instinct and the Streets of Rage Collection from the 360 with my arcade stick.
On Switch I've swapped Zelda games to Link's Awakening
@NEStalgia spot on, all he ever said was that one excellent game isn't going to magically make the Xbox outsell the Playstation and everyone moves to the Xbox platform.
Just the many idiots online purposely chose to use his comments in another way for their own fanboy nonsense
I'll be playing this on my Series X, I can't say I was expecting this to be 60fps and simply lowering the resolution won't necessarily make it reach that number if it's a CPU bottleneck. Having just spent a crazy amount of time with Zelda, I can't say 30fps bothers me and with the ambition of this game there isn't anything I'm looking forward to playing as much as it
Picked mine up yesterday along with a Series X as that showcase finally showed the Xbox games I want to play. It's certainly one of the nicest controllers I've seen
This is looking really good, I've always preferred Gran Turismo's progression to Forza's but this looks to be addressing that balance and between this and Starfield it looks like I'll be gaming mainly on Xbox later this year
I'm playing Street Fighter 6 on PS5 where I'd argue the Dualsense is even less adequate for such games but I'll be looking to get another stick at some point soon so was curious about this. I currently run a Mayflash F500 Elite which comes with Sanwa buttons installed and that certainly compares favourably to the Hori Hyabusa I've had before
I've had a brief go with the Switch version of this and it's a pretty good stick. I currently run a Mayflash f500 Elite which I find to be quite a bit better with it's Sanwa buttons and stick an optional octagonal gate (which I've fitted). It also has great compatibility across PC, Switch, Xbox and Playstation, even PS5 with an adapter and it's been great for Street Fighter 6 and takes me back to when I first played the Street Fighter 2 World Warrior arcade machine. I did try the PS5 controller but it's a bit rubbish for these kinds of games, has anyone here tried those Hori Fighting Commader pads? As I'd quite like to have a 6 face button pad again
@clvr I'm with you, I enjoyed BOTW and TOTK even more so but AC Valhalla was just so badly designed and I got bored of its world pretty quickly. In Zelda there are meaningful and enjoyable puzzles of varying degrees of difficulty pretty much everywhere you go. In AC every area just feels disposable and not really important at all, there are some good ideas in those games but they get lost as Ubisoft throws everything at it and hopes something sticks.
In Zelda I feel constantly rewarded, where as a Ubisoft open world just makes me want to turn it off
@BAMozzy I've still not gotten over Arkane's Prey having absolutely nothing to do with the actual Prey and meaning we'll never see a sequel to it. That was such an amazing game and one I replayed recently on PC
Still the original Dishonored for me, overall I think its designed better than its sequel. I've still yet to play "Prey" well I've played the real Prey and it's awesome and by all accounts the 2017 game is good too, just a shame Bethesda felt the need to kill off the original game and stick its name to it
I tried it on PC so frame rate wasn't an issue but even on ultra settings it looks like a game from 2 generations ago and isnt particularly good to play. I had a bit of fun for an hour or so but it feels unfinished and messily designed, the AI is utterly woeful whether that be its inability of simply walking without getting stuck or the vampires which just walk in a straight line towards you.
If I'd have paid £60 on Steam, I would have refunded it pretty quickly
This and Zelda are the games I'm most looking forward to this year, Skyrim and the Fallout games (not that one) are amongst my all time favourites. So that gameplay, combined with Sci-fi and space travel is a perfect match for me
I've had a quick go of this on PC and quite enjoyed it so far, I can run it at over 60fps at native 4K and in general seems relatively easy to get over 60fps without upscaling, making the lack of it on Series X a bit strange. The AI could do with some work though
Even if the sticker is fake, putting 60fps on the box is just another huge misstep for the launch of this game. Its bad enough they regularly showed it being played at 60 and even had Xbox influencers showing it on their channels as such
The CMA are a joke, who gives a **** about cloud gaming? Most use it as an addition to their hardware. I doubt there's many who can't afford a £250 Xbox or £200 Switch who are spending money on cloud games and to play on what exactly? If anything this could damage the cloud gaming business
@BAMozzy I will say I was referring to Redfall specifically and they have been showing it at 60fps (albeit on PC) but also inviting Xbox centric influencers to try it out and effectively advertise it at 60 on their channels just 3 weeks ago. That's my main concern and they should be a bit more open with what they're showing to people amd the aims of the console versions
@BAMozzy I do agree for some types of game, I'm not expecting Starfield to have a 60fps mode but it'll be nice if it did. What I would say is that it's a bit disingenuous showcasing gameplay at 60fps and using Xbox influencers to do so, if the option isn't there at launch

@Stocksy it was £4 for the unlock key (the deluxe edition stuff is broadly similar), thats said even if you were dumb enough to buy every ticket then that's a little over £45 and someone would have to be very stupid to do so.
