@rustyduck not as it stands, these versions have been updated for modern PC's by GOG themselves but hopefully this shows Capcom there is a demand for these titles to put them elsewhere
There are quite a few I'm really excited for but Doom would have to be top of that list, I'm a big fps fan and Dok is at the top of that particular tree.
Others I'm looking forward to include Perfect Dark, Fable and Indiana Jones
@Kezelpaso Gamepass revies are incredibly relevant, not everyone subscribes to it and I often visit other sites even if I don't play on those platforms. Plus even as a Gamepass subscriber, it's unrealistic to download every game that comes out, I simply don't have the time.
In any case, good review and I am going to try this, as whilst I didn't enjoy Hellblade 2 I do enjoy a good walking simulator from time to time
Yeah there's no need to rush, it's only been 9 years since the last single player installment and the next is likely still another 10 years away.......
Perfect Dark on the N64 is one of my favourite games and this is looking like a great successor from what we've seen so far and I like the character model and a good choce of voice actress too. It's a shame about certain people online who are weirdly offended by real women existing in games such as this and Fable but personally I can't wait for both games
I love that it's first person and it is way more immersive, I've played enough Uncharted and Tomb Raider games to want something a bit different. So far this is looking very promising and is probably my most anticipated game for the rest of the year
As others have mentioned we need to see more gameplay but the storytelling so far seems on point with some great cameos. Unlike seemingly many others, I like the look of the protagonist and don't care if there isn't a character creator and from the small snippets of gameplay this looks very promising. It's certainly very high on my wanted list
There was a lot in that showcase that I'm looking forward to and at the top of that list is Doom, Perfect Dark and Indiana Jones and I'll even give COD a go this year as I already have Gamepass
@themightyant yeah but most will be shopping for this on their consoles where it tells them a very different number. I get reporting it but I don't see anyone mentioning the fact that it gives you a very different number on the console itself
@themightyant If you stay on the listing it very quickly changes to about 122.75GB for this device, on Series X at least, so I'm kind of baffled why it's constantly reported as over 300GB
Hunter is out of order there by suggesting Phil directly said Playstation were slimy, there's nothing to suggest he wasn't referring to Xbox's own past as much as anyone else
Doom was a game I always expected to remain multi platform with how he initially talked about the acquisition and as @BAMozzy says, the advantage for me on Xbox is I can play it on my console or PC with one purchase/sub with cross save, where as Playstation they're all seperate. This is why I buy so few games on Playstation these days
Doom was already multiplatform and the suggestions since the acquisition were always that it was likely to remain that way. I'm glad it has even if I'll be playing on Xbox as it should be available to a wider audience, it's also pretty telling that Bethesda is referred to outside of Xbox Studios
A, it's the best show I've seen in years. It was around 80 minutes long but didn't feel long and had a great format with no down time. A lot of games that I'm looking forward to playing
The only Xbox I ever had an issue with was the early models of the 360, though I never personally got the red ring of death, I did encounter other issues such as it only displaying black and white
@Banjo- I'm basically PC these days but will keep the Series X as it's a great addition to it, with cross buy and save data shared between many games and the console is way better for my young son to play on the PS5 was, which had pretty terrible parental controls
@Jenkinss @dskatter ever since they bought Bethesda there's been mixed messaging but there had been suggestions that some games wouldn't be exclusive and Doom is an obvious candidate to keep multiplatform.
Spencer did mention that “even in the future there might be things that have contractual things, or legacy on different platforms that we’ll go do,”
There's also other quotes where he says "some games will be exclusive" when referring to the acquisition
Sure it looks amazing but I never felt that I was involved in the experience. The combat is so basic and heavily scripted, whilst the line up the object visual "puzzles" just felt like they were there to keep you busy for a few more seconds rather than adding to the experience.
I tried it both ways yesterday and it was significantly better with headphones on, through normal speakers I just found the voices a bit irritating to be honest whilst on a headset it did add to the immersion. Shame the gameplay is so lacking
Well I tried it and yes it looks and sounds amazing but I thought it was boring to play, I say play but all I did was walk around for an hour or so, stared at a couple of red things and tapped X and Y a few times to end the fight scenes that I never really felt a part of.
Back on the original Xbox it was largely good support from Sega with games like Panzer Dragoon, plus they'd just bought RARE so I was excited to see where that would go (as it turned out, nowhere for a long time).
I dabbled with 360 and Xbox One without playing too much but got the Series X largely because I'm a huge Bethesda fan (including other Zenimax studios), plus as I was also moving to PC, the ease of cross buy/save was appealing. Oh and it's backwards compatibility is a huge selling point for me, with Daytona USA, the excellent version of the Streets of Rage Trilogy and many, many more classics only available on Xbox Series today
I've suspected for a while that their next "console" will effectively just be a PC and this team has been put together to make sure their older Xbox games will run on PC's
It's comical of Xbox trying to restructure Bethesda when their own gaming output has been a mess for a decade. I'm not calling for other studios to be shut but 343 have buried Halo and Turn 10 put out the farce that is is Forza Motorsport.
We need games like Hi-Fi Rush and the creativity shown in Prey, focusing only on the so called biggest games will not be of benefit to anyone, look at Sony who have very little announced after doing something similar with the likes of Japan Studio
I'm just downloading the update now. I've really enjoyed my time with Starfield and these are some welcome improvements.
Edit, I meant downloading it on Steam.
Speaking of which the new map is huge improvement as is the new dialogue camera and ove had a bit of fun decorating my ship interior
@Ryu_Niiyama because a large part of Bethesda games are the modding community, so much so they feature them on their website, have helped promote them and even have employed people who were working on this very mod. Whilst of course they don't have to, I am surprised they didn't give these guys a heads up
I really enjoyed Starfield and it's got some great quests, my only real complaint is the lack of incentive to explore outside of the few hand crafted areas. That said I'll be jumping back in when the updates and dlc come
I only played back around the launch period when it basically had no content in it, quite why they thought it was a good idea to launch it with no NPC's is baffling.
I started replaying Fallout 4 a week or so ago in preparation for the huge upcoming Fallout London mod and may give 76 another go at some point
The consoles simply don't have the hardware to make ray tracing worthwhile and are basically rubbish at it. Even in the PC space AMD are pretty bad at it, so realistically you need a high end Nvidia GPU for it to be worthwhile at all

I love this game
Re: Xbox's Avowed Is Fully Playable In Third-Person, Confirms Obsidian
Good, then I won't have to see them all moan about it for months on end.......
I take that back, they're still complaining about Indy.
In any case, I'll be playing it in first person

Captain America Doom
Panzer Dragoon Doom
All in one game
