@SplooshDmg it's kind of funny to think of a 3080ti as a 1440p card, it just goes to show that 4K is an ever moving goalpost. I went for the 4070ti which is about the same performance as yours before SER for improved RT and DLSS3 and its weirdly one of the best value GPU's on the market despite being crazy priced for something called a 70
I'm sorry but there's no chance this is coming to current consoles and their incredibly limited ray tracing performance. Maybe when AMD finally get their act together in this regard for a future console 😂
Capcom have being doing this since at least the RE2 Remake, which allowed you to unlock all the weapons and Devil May Cry as well, so I'm not sure how it's suddenly news when they do it for like the 5th game in a row.
The strangest part about these is that they're actually pretty pointless to buy, on an average playthrough you can easily get a couple of them in game and in fact you don't even need them at all, as the upgrades are available without them anyway.
People just seemingly want to be upset about things these days
I suspect there's a lot of stories on either side of the fence as to whether Gamepass is good or bad for their games. Ultimately for us as gamers it's a great deal and it's a service I'll be using for a long time
It only makes a difference to Xbox's own games for me as I don't need to buy them and its rare that I play anything from EA or indeed many games day 1 but I wouldn't wait for any of them to be on Gamepass if I really wanted to play them. Resident Evil 4 for example is one of my most anticipated games and I've already preordered it but that's pretty much the exception these days
@Kaloudz and that's just COD players, the vast majority of PS gamers don't even play COD, so overall that's a pretty small amount. Even if you removed COD today from Playstation I doubt it'd make much difference to their sales
@themightyant Sony themselves may not even want it on PS Plus, even if its on Gamepass as they still get a percentage of each sale of the game. Let's not forget that Sony's own MLB The Show is on Gamepass but not PS Plus, that just isn't their business model
I feel that way too much importance is put upon COD, sure its a huge seller but let's not pretend that God of War hasn't already sold 11 million copies with the upcoming Spider-Man likely to match or even eclipse that. With or without COD Playstation will continue to flourish on the strength of its own exclusives and the many, many other games
@Stocksy this is certainly the only way that Daytona USA can be bought on any platform (might still be on PS3 after this) most of the others including Jet Set Radio are on Steam I believe.
If there's any you want to but without using a 360 then search marketplace.xbox and the game and you should be able to buy it
I've spent a lot of time with the N64 version since it first came out and can't say I've ever seen it wobble like it does in this.
That aside its pretty good overall with the only real disappointments being the wobble, the low res text which would have benefitted from being swapped out and the 30fps cap. Overall its very good and better then playing on an actual N64, a shame we'll never see the superior 360 version officially but at least a new generation gets to play it and we can again
@Banjo- it's probably the Bond rights holders only allowed the N64 rom to be released and then its down to who's more familiar with N64 emulation. Each seems to have their own strengths and weaknesses with neither been as good as community emulation
@FraserG I've just had a go through Xcloud (can't install on PC yet) and it's great fun, kind of like Crypt of the Necrodancer but you time your attacks to the beat and it looks fantastic, early days but I can see this being very well received
A for me and fair play, that was a great show, Forza Motorsport looks stunning and Redfall has shot up my wanted list and topped off with the cool surprise that was Hi Fi Rush. I really liked the format of gameplay and developer commentary and they need to keep to this style of presentation
Finally, it's great to see this game officially available on modern platforms again and ill be giving it a go. A bit of a shame its not the leaked XBLA version and it appears to be a rather basic emulation of it but I have that and a mouse and keyboard version on my PC.
That said I hope we get another print of RARE Replay with this and the other digital games on the disc and for me it still plays great even today
I played Cyberpunk on both the Series S and One X back when it launched and even then it was a better experience on the Series S. The Series S is definitely the better of the consoles performance wise but it's not night and day like it has been in past generations, even on PS5 one of the best looking games I've played has been TLOU2 and that only has an fps boost over the Pro version.
Some of the comparisons here are a bit weird though, GTAV never even got a Pro/X patch and whilst I doubt it would hit 60fps it could certainly have looked much better. The big issue at launch for Series S was playing One S versions of last gen games but as time goes by and it gets its own games this won't matter as much
The one that's not there but out of those I'm looking forward to seeing Forza, I need another good racing game and I hope they don't limit its RT potential on PC as Xbox games can be a bit disappointing in that regard. Redfall is another I'm curious about as well and I hope there's some nice surprises
One of my favourite FPS games of the time and certainly on the N64. This release has just been weird though with the huge gap between its announcement and some update and still silence. Just a shame that Xbox won't get that XBLA version that was leaked a while ago and this just seems to be a basic emulation of the game.
@grumpypotato the endlessly spawning waves of enemies were when you set off the alarms, there are plenty of stages where there are a fixed number of enemies if played as intended. I had a lot of fun with its multiplayer but yes you really had to set your own ground rules beforehand and there were certainly much better multiplayer fps games at the time, just this was fun and easy to get 4 friends together and have a blast with
So we get a nice OLED screen that no game will ever use, I'd love for games to actually use such a thing as it was a great feature for the Dreamcast amd as I play on PC and aren't a big fan of Armoury Crate I think I'll pass
Looking back on the gameplay it seems more Borderlands inspired with its abilities then any of the games mentioned here. I've got Gamepass so I'll certainly be giving it a go when it releases
What a joke, who cares what a few random people who have nothing to with this think. All these people panicking as if this creates some kind of monopoly which it can't. Despite COD's huge success, the overwhelming majority of gamers don't play it, same for pretty much any game except GTAV apparently.
Any court taking these clowns seriously need to have a word with themselves
@PcTV Why? If I were in a position where I didn't feel I could afford the £10 per month for a gaming subscription, I seriously doubt I'd be buying a £250 or £450 games console and paying for sufficient Internet access to take advantage of such a subscription.
If you can't afford Gamepass then surely you can't afford to be gaming.
If anything Gold needs to go as it serves no purpose these days, the big multiplayer games are generally f2p so don't even need it and PC Xbox doesn't have it at all
I do love the surprise of how RT reflections look on a 9 year old game, they'll just be able to make them higher resolution as the rest of the game is much less demanding than modern games. It's the same when I play on PC and have RT mods on even older games and they look amazing
@Dezzy70 even online I think they have an issue with visibilityat times, my 6 year old watches random things on YouTube and whether it's through adverts or some games various YouTubers are playing he's aware of many games that he hasn't seen me play. He even links them to various platforms by how they played them or the advert logo, every time he mentions one to me or recognises one when I'm with him he only mentions Playstation or Nintendo even though I own all 3 and he's played on them all.
We see it with reviews as the majority of the time multiplatform games are often reviewed on Playstation and no showing things like the VGA won't help
@Dezzy70 let's be honest not many gamers or people in general have used GAME for years and video games in general have long since lost their high street presence. Supermarkets either don't even have them or have greatly reduced their selections, GAME has disappeared into a poor sports shop. Xbox for a while has been squeezed out of even these limited spaces which makes sense as they focus on a digital and subscription based future
@themightyant to be fair when I first started I couldn't play the likes of Resident Evil 7 for more than a couple of minutes in VR, standing up helped and playing games where you're static like this or Job Simulator helped get me used to it.
Hopefully you can get used to it in the future as even relatively simple games are completely transformed in VR
@Rangers420 I'm not for 1 second suggesting only Sony have ever done this, just how hypoctical it is of them to argue that point all whilst announcing more exclusive deals
At this point the regulators need to stop being concerned about Sony's well being, it's not their job to ensure their position as the market leader. Xbox has clearly demonstrated the willingness to have COD available everywhere and there are other gaming platforms other than PlayStation, one which let's not forget is more than happy to keep games exclusive and pay for third parties to do so such as Final Fantasy for example
@themightyant I love a bit of Tetris, in fact Tetris Effect is easily one of the best games I played on the PS4.
It's great to see Xbox up there competing, sure the PS5 has had stock limitations for most of the year but its up there with Switch on merit and we have 3 very healthy console options for all tastes
@themightyant really? I didn't get that at all from HFW, it just felt like a very basic action RPG that didn't build upon the original in any meaningful way. It's certainly very pretty and the core combat is still good but it felt pretty lifeless to me.
As for Starfield and somewhat ironically given Xbox's perceived lack of output, this is the big current gen release between both sides that I'm truly excited for. Ratchet was pretty fun and The Medium was ok but here we are 2 years in and not much else is on offer in that regard. I'm a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games so this is right up my street but I'm not going to take Todd too seriously about its looks given the same nonsense about Fallout 76. I just hope it's much more polished at launch and it's story and RPG mechanics are up to the standard of their best games
How about this generation starts before we start talking about next gen? We're about 2 years in and barely into double figures for games exclusive to this generation between both sides
Whilst not my first online gaming experience, that goes to the Dreamcast but this was the basis for how we've played online ever since, well outside of Nintendo who seemingly have never seen it. I can't say I've ever been the biggest online gamer though I certainly have fond memories of the likes of Borderlands 2 and Destiny over the years

@InterceptorAlpha on PC you can also mod in as many of these tickets as you like, so you'd have to be especially stupid to buy them 😂
Re: New Xbox Games Release Dates In 2023
Didn't Suicide Squad get delayed?
Anyway for me this year it's Starfield that is the big game with Robocop and Forza also interesting and I'm looking forward to the Cyberpunk dlc

After Resident Evil 4 there is no game I'm looking forward to as much as this, Bethesda's single player RPG's are amongst my favourite games
