@jedinite Funny thing is most mobile gamers now aren't even that. They are indeed some dedicated gamers in their own way. As many hours and thought that you put into something like Indy they put that same amount of time and energy into mobile games. Nowadays they are just as much as a gamer as people who play on PC and console.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (Series X) Continuing my gmae this weekend, currently I am still in the Vatican tieing up lose ends.

XDefiant (Series X) playing this one with the boys checking out the newest update which is bittersweet. R.I.P. XDefiant another victim of Ubisoft's careless missmangement.

World of Warcraft Classic (PC) Tackling the Barrens this weekend on my Tauren Shaman. There's just something I find relaxing with classic WoW.

@Stoned_Patrol According to Mark Rubin they had everything for the first year done. So you can kind of see that this month was going to be season 3 Assassins then you figure February or March would have been Wolves. I am guessing year two, which would have been May/June, would have been Blood Dragon which is probably why they only have one character for that faction as Mark Rubin said they were just starting with year 2. And since their planing to end the game in June they just shoved everything that they had finished now.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (Series X) I will be Continuing Indy's adventures this weekend. I am really enjoying this game alot it really nails the Indy vibe definitely my GotY for 2024.

World of Warcraft (PC) Started a new character on the classic servers and what a breath of fresh air it is from retail. It reminds me alot of why I fell in love with WoW in the first place.

Re: Review: Indiana Jones And The Great Circle (Xbox) - A MachineGames Misfire

Tasuki

After playing this game for a few hours it seems that this reviewer is not a fan of this kind of gameplay, which is fine. It seems that maybe because of the first person view the reviewer was thinking it would be more like Doom 2017, the more recent Wolfenstein games or even GoldenEye.

I also noticed that this reveiwer tends to write alot of articles about Call of Duty and XDefiant so given that its seesm that their favorite genre are FPS games which Indy is not.

Indy is Bethesda game true and true something like Fallout where yeah theres missions but the joy comes from exploring the world. Also Indy is not a gun guy yeah there's a few scenes in the movies where he uses a gun (and I am not counting on the sword man scene in Raiders where that was adlib by Harrison Ford due to him being sick) but for the most part he also tries to think his way through a situation before resorting to a gun.

Anyway I give props to the review to post his truthful thoughts and feeling and honestly I dont think he was wrong, or purposely trying to give a bad review of the game its just didnt mesh with his type of game style. It would be like asking me to review the latest Forza Motorsport game which I would score low because I am not a big fan of that game play.

@FraserG I understand that you may have limited reviewers to review games and this isnt a knock against you or the reviewer of this game, I am not going to pretend to know how you select your reviewers or even if you have others (Sorry if that came out wrong but I am not sure how big of a staff you have) nor do I care about the meta score of the game but would be interested in another opinion of this game. Perhaps maybe by someone who likes more open world games like Fallout, Skyrim etc. Again not sure if the author isnt a fan of those games just an observation.

Sorry for the long comment this is just somethings I thought of after seeing everyones hate for this review and how different this author's score was to everyone elses. No disrespect to you or the author from me and maybe I am completely wrong but this is just my observations. Keep up the good work both you and the author of the review and don't let the people get you down.

XDefiant (Series X) With news of the inevitable shutdown I figured I enjoy the game while I can.

World of Warcraft (PC) After a short break from the game I got the itch to return to it.

Other then that I am not really playing anything much so that way I have time for Indiana Jones in a few days when it comes out.

Re: Here Are The Cheapest Ways To Get Indiana Jones 'Early Access' On Xbox Series X|S & PC

@FraserG I know in the US Mountain Dew is running a promotion with Xbox and for buying Mountain, Doritios or Rockstar energy drink you get codes for points to use on their website. One of the things you can get with the points is Xbox Game Pass trial but it's for new users only. Still if your someone who drinks Mountain Dew or Rockstar or eats Doritos it might be worth looking into. I was able to get to 1200 points with just six of the 20 ounce bottles.

Stardew Valley (PC) Picked it up as part of the Steam sale for $10 so I will be starting a farm there.

Black Ops 6 (Series X) Double Xp Weekend so my buds want to do some MP and Zombies.

River City Girls (PS4) I started this awhile ago but never finished it. I am still in a beat em up mood so I will be dusting off the PS4 and playing this one with my son.

Re: Random: Some Black Ops 6 Fans Are Already Over The Game's 'Obnoxious' DLC Skins

Tasuki

1) Call of Duty is not a military Sim it's an arcade shooter so people can't argue that it's unrealistic. Yeah this from people who go around a map bunny hopping and sliding around on their arses like it's ice.

2) Don't want goof skins well easy salutation, let your wallet do the talking. Don't buy them. The only reason they do it is because of how much money they make if they didn't make that much money they wouldn't have them.

Players: I don't want goofy skins
Activision: But we just came out with this furry dragon skin, a weed outfit skin and a anime girl skin.
Player: Shut up and take my money!!!

Re: Talking Point: When You're Low On Time, What Do You Play On Xbox?

Tasuki

I try not to play long games because I just don't have time for them anymore. RPGs are my favorite genre but I don't have the time for a 100+ hour RPG.

With that said I tend play games like XDefiant, Forza Horizon or beat em ups. Something that I can play for an hour or two and feel satisfied playing a game rather then feeling I got nothing accomplished because a game is 100+ hours.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 23-24)

TMNT Shredder's Revenge (Series X) Picked up the Ultimate Edition on sale, so I will be checking out all the post launch content. Still one of my favorite beat em Ups

World of Warcraft (PC) Still messing around with Alts.

CoD: Black Ops 6 (Series X) Will be checking out the new MP maps with the boys that dropped with season one update.

Re: Talking Point: Looking Back, What Are Your Fondest Memories Of The Xbox One Era?

Tasuki

Sadly the Xbox One era memory for me was bow it made me go back to Playstation after they botched their E3 presentation. I loved the 360 but when the Xbox One was shown off with Kinect, was original planned with the always online and games you couldn't share plus being $100 more, I went and got a PS4.

Years later I got an Xbox One when my friend sold me his when he upgraded to the One X and it impressed me how they tried to come back with stuff like Gamepass and Backwards compatibility but by then most of the third party games I played on PS4 already and there weren't many exclusives that I wanted to play so I mainly used it to resist my 360 library.

The one game that would have got me to buy an Xbox One early on Scalebound (who remembers that?) they ended up canceling.
