Yesterday, we highlighted a big list of Xbox Countdown Sale games with 90% or 95% reductions on the Xbox Store, but how about a 100% discount?! That's what's been given to Battlefield 1 Revolution today, although there is a catch.
The catch is that this special offer is part of a promotion for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members over the holidays, so you must be an XGP Ultimate subscriber in order to see the 100% reduction. Then, you just need to search for Battlefield 1 Revolution, and a "Just For You" deal should be displayed revealing that you can buy it for free.
Keep in mind that this Battlefield 1 discount seems to be available for just one day, so you'll need to be quick!

What's even more exciting is that additional games may follow soon. Xbox Wire mentions that gifts will be given away in the form of a DLC pack for The Sims 4 and some in-game points for EA Sports PGA Tour, but it also lists "Titanfall 2: Ultimate Edition" as a gift - suggesting that game could be given away for free between now and December 26th.
An image that accompanies this EA Play promo also includes the likes of Skate 3, Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 on the front of it, so maybe those will be up for grabs as well?! Let's hope so!
Whatever happens between now and the 26th, we'll obviously let you know about the biggest offers that go live...

I've played this to death on PS but will almost certainly have another look.
Nothing to complain about from a consumer point of view.
I guess it is being used as an enticement to get people on that subscription train.
Feels a bit desperate - a bit like Epic giving away stuff every week and tonnes of people just claim them and never buy a thing.
I got Return to Moria for nothing this week which I really wanted to try but had no intention of paying lots of money for.
***edit*** Just realised this appears to be an EA promotion and not an Xbox one.
I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Will almost certainly never play it but you can be damned sure I’m going to claim it
Thanks for the heads up. Have played Battlefield 1 a lot in the past via EA Play and while i dont expect to play again any time soon its still nice to have.
Cool I'll download it why not free is free
I already own it on disc, but this includes all the extras, and means I won't need to put the disc in.
I mean free is free, and I will claim it like Epic Games every week. But it's one of the worst Battlefield campaigns and the chances I will play it again are next to zero.
@Medic_alert "Feels a bit desperate - a bit like Epic giving away stuff every week and tonnes of people just claim them and never buy a thing."
Guilty
I have lots of Epic free games and never bought a single one on their platform.
@Gabrielmpf I do it too. I often forget what I have on there and usually find out straight after buying it somewhere else!
the best battlefield game in my opinion and all the dlc for free.
its still active to this day just use server browser to find a game do NOT use quick match as that just puts you in a new empty lobby
Any game that is delisted - eg Forza Horizon 4 - should be made free on their last day of availability.
@FraserG - thank you!
@FraserG Appearently this sale goes till 9 AM tomorrow so grab it while you can.
Gosh darn it I just paid, checks receipt, $3.99 for this game! I am miffed. I could've saved $3.99 + tax and bought... well nothing in this economy. You know, the EA sales are going hard. Dragon Age Veilguard is on sale for 45% for me (it says "special offer because of your interest in similar games") and so much of their catalog is stupid cheap now. Regardless of what you think about those games, 45% off a near brand new game I've heard both really good and really bad things about takes me off the fence. Then there's seriously good sales on games like Jedi Survivor (I also think if you're a GPU/EA play member), which the only concerns I've seen for that game are technical issues.
Just got it there - had to authorise the payment of 0.00 through my banking app. Bizarre, it never asks for authorisation normally.
Wow! Merry Christmas.
Gone back to £1.99 now.
Hoping for Titanfall 2!
Again, no links to the store or the source or anything useful. It's great to report about this, but the news is worthless without links.
STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II: Celebration Edition is free today for Game Pass subscribers.
