Last week, three classic Call of Duty games appeared on the Microsoft Store for PC; a sign that the company is likely preparing them for an Xbox Game Pass drop somewhere down the line. Well, you can add four more series entries to that list this week.
Yep, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3, and WWII have also appeared on Xbox's PC storefront - with Microsoft seemingly bringing its back catalogue of Call of Duty games to the Xbox Game Pass library at some point in the future.
We say at some point, because this has happened with other ActiBlizz titles in the past and it doesn't necessarily mean an immediate Game Pass drop. The Spyro Reignited Trilogy received a Microsoft Store PC release in April, for example, but it took until November for it to hit Xbox Game Pass - and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 received a new PC release in June, but it still hasn't arrived on Game Pass as we reach the end of the calendar year.
In any case, we now have seven older Call of Duty titles that have been ported to Microsoft's PC storefront - and we're hoping they all appear on Xbox Game Pass sometime in 2025.

The difference with Call of Duty vs the rest of ABK's IP's is that CoD has an Active and relatively new game out - BO6. Releasing 'old' games into Game Pass could 'hurt' BO6 player numbers on PC/Xbox and/or impact on their 'revenue' - fewer people in BO6, fewer sales of Bundles, CoD Points and/or Battle Passes.
It would be cool to have the Old Games, Old Maps etc all available and playable but I think that some games/modes would likely be unplayable due to lack of enough players. I think it would more likely split the Community and impact on the Matchmaking...
Sweet I'll enjoy playing the campaigns of these if they are worth playing but get a move on with the 360 cod titles please!
Xmas gift perhaps? I still think it was odd (or perhaps calculated) to release Black Ops 6 onto Game Pass without the earlier Black Ops games. But we'll get there eventually, even if they drip feed them.
What I really want is a Modern Warfare 3 (2011) Remastered as they remastered 1 & 2 and left us hanging. I could go back and play the X360 version but i'd prefer a proper remaster to bring them all in line.
Oh and give Dishonored 2 a 60fps patch while you are at it, it's the only Dishonored game you can't play at higher frame rates on XSX.
Its been taking so long its getting a bit silly now, so really hope they get older CoDs on gamepass asap!
Black ops 3 is a crime. It’s running at 900p vs 1080p on PlayStation. It’s even more a crime that now Microsoft owns these games that they aren’t being Xbox one x enhanced. The only good thing Microsoft has done lately has stopped because of licensing even when they buy the licensing. Wth.

Actually, it's 8, not 4 as modern warfare 2, 3, modern warfare remastered, & infinite warfare are on the windows PC store too. I just checked the app yesterday.

@BAMozzy You also have to account the amount of hackers are on the older CoD games and if it's safe for a person to play without exposing their info to these hackers.
@Tasuki That too - World at War was notoriously broken with hackers even on Console and I doubt that was ever fixed.
I doubt that some Game Modes will have enough players in the Lobbies to actually 'matchmake' in any case. Also with those games, they sold the extra Maps and that affected Matchmaking too. In W@W, if you didn't own the map, it would just boot you from the Lobby.
People complain that CoD's 'Anti-Cheat' isn't 100% guaranteed to stop ANY cheater from playing, but compared to the early days, its certainly better and I doubt any can be 100%.
These '4' that are mentioned though also happen to be from the XB1/PS4 era. I know Ghosts launched on the 360/PS3, but the XB1/PS4 consoles launched weeks after and were launch titles on the new Hardware - something that 'split' the Community even more as there was NO crossplay - not even between last and new gen consoles in the same family. Therefore, you had the community split between PS3, PS4, 360, XB1 and PC hardware. I enjoyed it though and thought the Campaign was fun.
Strange Infinite Warfare, the last of the 'Advanced' Exo-Movement Games isn't mentioned, otherwise this would be the first 5 years of CoD on the XB1/PS4. Black Ops 3 out of these was my Favourite, but that also had a LOT to do with Zombies Chronicles and Treyarch's Zombies in general....
@BAMozzy I know that Black Ops 2 is notorious for hackers being able to reset your stats and even able to mess with the console itself so yeah not a good idea for MS to release those unless they fixed the exploits which I doubt they will. Of course who knows they could just make the campaigns available on Gamepass.
For me it's the windows store only and excluding infinite warfare I am not buying all three of them again, shame.
When will the problem with the Japanese Xbox One version of “Call of Duty: Ghost” not being able to launch online play be fixed?
Square Enix has lost its publishing rights with abandon.
