I haven’t gotten one. But I have lots of Microsoft points, have $10 credit in my account already, and purchase things fairly regularly. That might exempt me from the likely pool
So when a game goes to standard, does that renew the 12 month counter? Or can it still leave 12 months from when it first entered ultimate, even if it’s now on standard?
Forget banjo. Make a star control game. I can’t believe all the IPs Microsoft is sitting on. Toys for Bob made incredible games in the 80s and 90s. Star control 2 was amazing.
But I’m not sure the original founders are there anymore.
@Kaloudz preaching to the choir here. I played moonlighter when it first came out, and was a Kickstarter backer for it! I didn’t like the dlc as much, but I really enjoyed the main game a lot. Hoping the magic can be repeated for the sequel! I liked the first so much that I’m worried lightning can’t strike twice for me.
Not the same thing, but I played it almost as obsessively as I played loop hero.
@DalamarX I agree and I'd be quite happy with that. People are pretty happy with Steam decks and whatever else. Steam itself was once upon a time going to make a Steam Box, which wouldn't have been as full-featured as something that will run Windows. Hopefully the architecture will be fairly open, such as Microsoft's own Surface tablets, which are way more open than something like an iPad.
@Fiendish-Beaver I have a Xbox for two things: game pass, and Microsoft rewards. I’d still be using my reward points on the Xbox store. But yeah, Steam would be stiff competition. And a PC-thing without Steam would be a harder sell unless suddenly every indie game launched not just on Steam but on the Xbox store
I would totally be up for a device that plays Xbox games, plays game pass, plays potentially Steam games, runs windows, connects to my tv, but still functions as a PC as well basically.
People have such weird knee-jerk reactions to anything involving AI, and for good reason. But it would be nice if people would stop scrolling and think a bit, or at least put more thought into their responses. People behave like AI
I’m also underwhelmed. If it enhanced switch 1 games out of the box, and if it was launching with some stuff I was actually interested in, it might be another story.
Paying for updates, and the $80 game prices, and the lack of stuff I care about… makes it a harder sell.
@themightyant exactly. In order to figure out timing we really have to see where the holes are. They don’t want to undercut expedition 33 either I’m sure.
Spacing out searches doesn’t work for me. I can’t go sit down at my computer the required 8 (!!) times per day. Not everyone lives on a computer. So it just is what it is.
I’m still glad the rewards program exists. I rarely spend actual money for a game anymore (besides discounted game pass renewals).
Controllers are one of the downsides to Xbox series for me. Pack-in controller hurts my hand, Xbox one controller got stick drift and is outdated and no longer available, 3rd party controllers typically aren’t wireless, and elite controllers are an expensive risk.
So I’ve got a wired 8bitdo. Great other than the wire.

Re: Bethesda Officially Announces Oblivion Remastered, Full Reveal Coming Tomorrow
I hope they didn’t mess up one of my favorite games of all time.
Still, why announced this a day before another high profile rpg drops on game pass?

Re: Two Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (April 17)
Definitely want to give tempopo a try. I loved unpacking.
No interest in the “do work” genre of games tho. If I wanted to clean stuff, my house needs cleaning…
Re: Bethesda Reportedly Has More Than One 'Remaster' In The Works
Well new Vegas would be nice too, if they’re redoing everything from 2006-2010
Re: Xbox Support 'Leaks' Oblivion Remastered Release Date, But It's Probably A Mistake
I don’t get why they’d release a big rpg right on the back of Clair obscur, not to mention avowed came out two months ago.
Why not June as a show drop with their big show? Or even next year for its 20th anniversary?
Re: Two Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (April 16)

Re: Xbox Seemingly Blocks Upcoming Release Due To 'Provocative' Content
That’s so weird. They’re obviously still coming out on switch and ps…? I’ve never played them.
Re: Two Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (April 15)
Is neither not an option?
I swear gta5 has been off and on game pass like 3 times now.
Re: 'Oblivion Remastered' Images Leak Ahead Of Imminent Xbox Release
This is such a weird time to release it…
Hope it’s not crap.
Re: Six Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass In Late April 2025
How come they announced early this time? Not that I mind.
Re: Six Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass In Late April 2025
Glad I played thirsty suitors last month. I loved it!
Re: Retro Fighters Returns With A Brand-New Wireless Xbox 360 Controller In 2025
Now if we could just get a good, affordable, wireless series X controller…
Re: PSA: These Seven Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass Tomorrow (April 15)
Botany manor was great. You technically still have time!
Re: Stalker 2 Dev Unveils Plans To 'Evolve' Xbox Game Pass FPS In 2025
Just in time for it to leave game pass. 😭
Re: Toys For Bob Talks 'Ambitious' New Xbox Game & Banjo-Kazooie Interest
@Scummbuddy Yeah, I'm looking forward to it!
Re: Talking Point: What Dream Reveal Would You Like To See At The Xbox Games Showcase 2025?
I want to see revivals of all these old classic activision IPs they hoard, including old Sierra IPs, infocom…
They even have star control. It’s stupid that a company can gobble up so much history and do nothing.
Oh, and turn based pillars 3 or something.
Re: Four Games Are Confirmed For Xbox Game Pass In May 2025 So Far
I’m probably most excited about To a T, by team vulva. I mean uvula. It does look really fun tho.
Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of Blue Prince On Xbox Game Pass So Far?
Wow. You people have no taste.
Re: Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road Brings Its Football RPG To Xbox This August
Nice. Wish they’d put Deca police on Xbox too, and port megaton musashi

Re: Rumour: These Five Games Could Show Up At The Xbox Games Showcase 2025
Seems like the days of sega/Atlus games launching on game pass are done, but hopefully they’ll still be on Xbox at least.
Re: Xbox Games Showcase 2025 & Outer Worlds 2 Direct Announced For June
Hard to be excited when I have no idea what to expect. I bet outer worlds 2 will be good tho, at least as good as the first one and avowed.
Re: Xbox Pulls Back The Curtain On Two Behind-Closed-Doors Showcases
@Kaloudz according to my notes, I played it 35 hours on switch and 10 on pc. I had figured I’d actually played it more!
The DLC just had a totally different vibe and a really bad translation. But it’s also possible I just felt done and didn’t give it enough of a go.

Re: Pure Xbox Game Club: April 2025 - South Of Midnight
@AgentCooper okay, nice! I think I can manage that
Re: Xbox Pulls Back The Curtain On Two Behind-Closed-Doors Showcases
All three of the game pass ones really seem interesting and promising.
Re: Pure Xbox Game Club: April 2025 - South Of Midnight
Does the group complete the game within the month? Or within a month after release?
Re: Two Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (April 8)
I’m more excited about blue prince on the 10th. April has a lot of stuff! Which is why it would be weird to release oblivion this month, if it exists.
Re: Talking Point: How Excited Are You For A Potential Oblivion Remake This Month?
I’m excited, if it’s real and if they didn’t mess it up! It would be easy to ruin.
April is also a weird month to release it. We just got avowed, and Clair obscur also comes out in April. Why wouldn’t they wait til June or something?
Re: Xbox's Next-Gen Vision Could Transform How We Look At Consoles In The Future
@DalamarX quite true. The switch 2 has been a pretty big disappointment to me so far! And my expectations weren’t very high! 😆

Sheesh it’s hard to keep up with all the stuff leaving
Re: Xbox Adds Multiple New Dynamic Backgrounds To Kick Off April
They need better Avowed ones.
Re: Roundup: Here's What The Reviews Are Saying About Xbox's South Of Midnight

Looks like I need to speed run botany manor and Harold halibut!
While trying to finish avowed and get ahead on some other game pass stuff!
Re: Nintendo Just Broke Our Hearts With Today's Final Fantasy 7 Annoucement
@FraserG I for one am quite glad you’re not taking article suggestions from the audience, or at least not that member of the audience…
Re: Nintendo Just Broke Our Hearts With Today's Final Fantasy 7 Annoucement
Yeah their multiplatform strategy stinks.
Re: 10 Exciting Xbox Indie Games To Look Out For In April 2025
Blue prince looks excellent.
Wish more of these were on game pass
Re: Report: GTA V Is Making Its Return On Xbox Game Pass This Month
This is like the 3rd time it’s been on there. 🙄 I’m surprised they don’t just keep it permanently to sell gta online garbage.
Re: BAFTA Announces List Of Top 21 Most Influential Games Ever
Yeah. Bizarre list skewed toward newer stuff.
Adventure (which started on mainframes) kind of influenced everything, and it’s not even on there.

Re: Avowed Update 1.31 Now Live, Includes Improved Performance On Xbox Series X|S
@RentedPanda All these people being like "I finished the game in 19 hours" like... ok...???
I'm not even reading all the lore. I started skipping it, because I was taking long enough just doing side quests and exploring for treasure!
Re: Multiple Games Announced For Xbox Following March 2025's Nintendo Direct
I wish more of them were coming to game pass
