Update []: The mention of Wargroove 2 below is incorrect - it was actually added to Xbox Game Pass Standard back on April 3rd. Apologies for the confusion!
Original Story: We're kicking off a busy week for Xbox Game Pass today with two brand-new additions to the service and one that's new for Xbox Game Pass Standard members. Better yet, one of these is an Xbox first-party title as well!
That game is obviously South of Midnight, which has a release time of 9am PDT / 12pm EDT 5pm BST on Xbox Game Pass. Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition will also be dropping later in the day, marking its debut on Xbox Game Pass over 10 years since it first launched for Xbox One!
As mentioned, Wargroove 2 is only an Xbox Game Pass Standard addition, so it's already been playable for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members until now. It's just that one tier that it's becoming available for today.
So, here are more details about today's new Xbox Game Pass additions:
South of Midnight (Series X|S, PC, Cloud)
South of Midnight is a new action-adventure from Compulsion Games. Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and unravel your family’s hidden past.
Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition (Console, PC)
This Ultimate Evil Edition contains both Diablo III and the Reaper of Souls expansion set, together in one definitive volume. Rise as one of humanity's last defenders - crusader, barbarian, witch doctor, demon hunter, monk, or wizard - and collect legendary loot while mastering devastating new powers and abilities. Play solo or form a party of up to four other heroes, either with local players together on the same screen or online.

Looking forward to playing south of midnight later today happy Tuesday people ✌️
Wasn't Wargroove 2 added to Standard last week? Says April 3 on Xbox Wire.
Nice! This month has been great. Though I hope we get a crash 4 reveal for the back half of the month 😅
Shameless plug but South of Midnight is the community club's game for April. All are welcome to join in the discussion
Happy gaming everyone 👍 keep up the sterling work Fraser!
South of midnight is really good. Of you already know your southern folklore itnmight be even better. As a swiss citizen two toed tom and the likes are an unknown to me so its interesting to learn about these creatures and haints. You can turn off the stop motion effect for gameplay, not for cutscenes though so keep that in mind if you get motion sick easily.
@KlipKlop You're right - I had it down as April 8th for some reason. Article has been adjusted 👍
@AgentCooper Thank you!
I guess they decided to finally add Diablo 3 cause they figure at this point there’s no reason to think it will pull anyone away from Diablo 4 since it’s been out long enough (kind of the same reason any of the old COD’s haven’t been added yet they don’t want to divide there playerbase)
I highly recommend people giving South of Midnight a go. I’ve been playing it in early access and am really enjoying it. I’ve had just 1 bug so far, where I had to quit the game and reload. The game looks stunning too, which makes it even more unbelievable there’s no photo mode - this game is crying out for one! Hopefully they will add it post-launch.
I’m more excited about blue prince on the 10th. April has a lot of stuff! Which is why it would be weird to release oblivion this month, if it exists.
I have been itching to play Diablo III again, so will definitely be downloading that.
@YeyoFairy It's a bit more then that for CoD. Before the put CoD games on Gamepass they have do a seriously security overhaul on them. They are so many hackers and bots on the older CoD games that they are pretty much unplayable in there current state. It would be alot of time and effort on Activision's part to fix all them, time that would be taken away from current games.
