In the mood to change your background on Xbox? Well, we've got a bunch of new dynamic backgrounds to choose from right now, including the strange Microsoft 50th anniversary one that we highlighted here at Pure Xbox recently.
Beyond that, there are also new Xbox dynamic backgrounds for South of Midnight, Towerborne and two for Sea Of Thieves - we're particularly fond of the South of Midnight one, especially since it arrives on Xbox Game Pass next week!

To find these dynamic backgrounds on your Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S console, you just need to go to Settings, General, Personalization and then Dynamic Backgrounds. All of them can be activated from within there.
I'm curious - how often do you use dynamic backgrounds on Xbox? It feels like they've become less popular in recent years, but I personally have loved using the Split Fiction and NHL ones... and South of Midnight might stick around now!

I like the dynamic backgrounds but most of it just gets blocked with the big ugly blocks for games and so on. So I often prefer just a static plain color one.
Having said that the last couple of weeks I have been using the Indiana Jones dynamic background and I don’t see that changing soon.
I change them from time to time, but I've had Indy's for months now. Maybe I'll give SoM a shot. The art in the game is amazing!

I'm still rocking the one that shows you the same background to the tile you're highlighting. I might swap to DOOM when that comes out though.
I can’t wait for the Gears of War E-Day background. That will be on my screen forever. These are ok, i am looking forward to playing both South of Midnight and TowerBorne.
They do the wrong games for me we should of already had at least one gears of war background and I'd love to see and elden ring night reign one when that game drops!
Only one I had tried is starfield so should try one of the new ones….
They need better Avowed ones.
Removed - trolling/baiting
Wasn't really fussed about these. When I did the obligatory first time settings exploration I chose a Forza 7 achievement background, because the 911 GT2 art was excellent, and it looked good even with all of the game tiles on screen. Then I saw the Pentiment (if I remember correctly) dynamic one a while ago - woods, babbling brook, wildlife - it's lovely, and I can't see myself changing that any time soon.
