I very nearly bought this when it first launched, but luckily I was distracted with other games at the time. Now I can play it for free! 🙂

Diablo 4 After restarting with a Rogue, my character is now level 32. I wasn’t happy last night though - got to the end of a dungeon, beat the boss…then the game disconnected 😡 I’ve now got to clear dungeon and beat boss all over again 🙄
Army of Ruin Yes, it’s a complete rip-off of Vampire survivors, but it’s great fun!
Zelda TOTK Still amazed at how Nintendo pulled this game off on the ageing Switch!
Evil West Only just bought this in the sale for my PS5. Hope to start it tonight.

Sony/PlayStation already have lots of great exclusives, no harm in Xbox having some more.

This is actually a pretty good selection. There’s at least 4 I want to play; Bramble the mountain king (which I came very close to buying at launch!), NFS unbound, Arcade paradise and FIST.

Who tf is still buying GTAV?!?!

Diablo IV I got bored with my Necromancer build so restarted as a Rogue, which I’m enjoying more. My character is level 23 so I still have soooooooo much to do!
Army of Ruin Great little indie game that was just released. It’s basically Vampire survivors only far better looking and a lot more polished. Also a great price (under £7). If you like Vampire survivors I highly recommend you trying this out.
Zelda TOTK I’m not particularly good at this game (have had to use YouTube several times for Shrines 😂) and I’m even worse at combat, but it’s still fun and great to just dip in and out of.

Well, between Zelda TOTK and Diablo IV I haven’t got time for much else. Saying that, I’m a little worried that I may already be getting fatigued with Diablo IV. I’m a level 26 Necromancer, and it’s just all getting a bit samey. I think I may start a new character/class over the weekend and see how it goes.

Been playing Diablo IV since Friday and loving it so far. Playing as Necromancer, level 22 atm (would have played more, but damn you work!). Have hardly touched main story quests - have just been doing some side quests, exploring the world and some dungeons. It’s an embarrassment of riches when you have lots of skills to pick from but obviously can only equip so many!

The aforementioned PGR4, and another racing game - the underrated Blur.

Mostly Diablo 4. Only played for a few hours yesterday, but expecting longer sessions tonight and tomorrow. Playing as Necromancer. Looks like I dodged a bullet as well - I posted a few days ago saying I decided to get it on Series X rather than PS5 - and now I’m hearing that the PlayStation early access has had “invalid license” issues preventing people from playing…phew! Dodged that one! I was also pleasantly surprised with Diablo 4 that I didn’t have to do any of the usual Blizzard rubbish, like linking a battlenet account or even giving them my phone number, which I believe you had to do with Overwatch 2 (not played it myself).

@Green-Bandit yeah this is the main reason why I went with Xbox in the end, because I prefer the controller. Nice textured grips and triggers. It just feels more “solid” in your hands.

After dithering on whether to get it on Series X or PS5, I’ve decided to go with team Xbox! Gonna get the digital deluxe version…roll on Friday!

Currently deciding whether to get this on Series X or PS5 🤔 hoping for a digital foundry review. I’ll probably go with XSX as I prefer the pad. Either way…roll on Friday! 🤘

@BlackMayge I’m looking forward to playing ToTK! Like you, I was lukewarm to BoTW and didn’t even finish it. But I succumbed to the ToTK hype and bought it. I just wanna finish SW Jedi survivor first because I know ToTK will eat up a lot of time!

I finally caved this week and bought Afterimage, which is a really good metroidvania and has lovely graphics. Still playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Not sure how far from the end I am but I’m quite a way into it now. Once I finish that I can start Zelda ToTK, which is currently sitting there shouting “Play me! Play me!” 🙂

@Kaloudz well, if even Ubisoft officials weren’t sure on how to pronounce it then I guess there isn’t a “right” way. For what it’s worth I am from the UK. I’m sticking with “you-be-soft”.

I have a Switch, and I have ToTK…but haven’t started it yet! I’m waiting till I finish up SW Jedi survivor. It’s soooooo tempting though…

@S1ayeR74 I also got mine for £45, though it was Shopto. Playing on Series X.

I reckon autumn/fall 2024, so still a good 18 months away.

@lacerz the sad thing is it’s not just Eurogamer ignoring Hogwarts Legacy - neither Play or Edge magazines reviewed it either!

I was playing yesterday (Series X) and noticed a couple of times where environmental textures weren’t always loading straight away, which is kinda disappointing for a AAA game. Hope they fix this ASAP.

I need to give this another go. I played it when it first came on GamePass but bounced off it pretty quickly, maybe I was distracted by other games.

There’s so much riding on this game that Bethesda really need to deliver, for Microsoft’s sake and gamers alike.

I must be lucky as I’ve not had any issues yet. In fact, after trying out both graphics modes I stuck with the 30fps/quality mode which is very smooth. Enjoying the game so far.

Game breaking bugs, especially save-related ones, need to be addressed ASAP, even before performance issues.

Ravenlok looks interesting, and could be one of those “hidden gems”. I’d like to play Redfall, but SW Jedi survivor is my main game right now so Redfall may have to wait.

On Series X I’m playing SW Jedi survivor (too early to give an opinion yet), and Speedstorm, which is great fun. On PlayStation I’m playing The Division 2. Started playing it again (lapsed player) last weekend, mostly to tie me over until Jedi Survivor came out, but I’ve ended up getting right back into it! I’m close to finishing off the Warlords of New York expansion, then into the endgame.

As someone who mainly plays solo I have reservations, but it’s on GamePass so have nothing to lose!

Tbh I’m quite happy with the 60fps patch. Wasn’t really expecting anymore.

I would like to see more fictional/fantasy tracks. When you play a lot of racing games like myself, a lot of the same (real world) tracks keep popping up. So more fictional tracks that are specific to a racing franchise - eg Trial mountain in Gran Turismo games - are always a good thing. Talking of which, I loved the Rio track in FM7.

Looking forward to SW Jedi survivor, and then Redfall just a few days later 🙂

Erm, nada, zilch, zip, nothing! a lot of these games are regularly on sale anyway.

You’d think they’d at least kick it off the same day as a brand new release to tempt people in.

Some recent games have done 30fps or “quality mode” really well, these include Hogwarts Legacy, Forza Horizon 5 and Horizon Forbidden West. If you’re that bothered then simply don’t play it at launch and wait for the 60fps patch.

EA Play, for the simple reason I buy quite a few Ubisoft games anyway (Assassins creed, Far Cry, Anno etc).

How is Valheim so small? I haven’t played it but just assumed it would be bigger 🤔

I’m playing Ni No Kuni II, FH5 A Rally adventure (which looks absolutely GORGEOUS!), and some Anno 1800. Even though I played the free trial of Anno on PS5, I decided to buy it on Xbox because of “quick resume”. I also bought Tales of arise on PS5 in the Spring sale, though not sure I’ll have time for that yet.

Ni no kuni II for me. I started playing it on PS4 when it first came out, but got sidetracked with another big game that came out and never got back to it. When it landed on GamePass I thought this is the perfect opportunity to play it again, though now it looks better than ever.
