Welcome to the weekend, and happy Star Wars Day if you're celebrating it! There's lots to enjoy on Xbox over the next two days, including more Xbox Game Pass additions, some Free Play Days titles and 200+ new Xbox Store discounts.
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

Well, considering it's May the 4th, I may dig back into LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens today. I recently picked up the big official guide book for it, so although I finished the main game almost a decade ago, I'm eager to grab all the collectibles and get a 100% completition for the first time in my history with LEGO titles. Wish me luck!
Aside from that, it's probably going to be more TopSpin 2K25. I'm really addicted to that game at the moment, and I'm spreading my time across the decent career mode and the online World Tour mode. I do still think it needs more content at some point in the future, but these two modes should keep me busy in the meantime.
Have a good weekend, folks!

I’ve got some gaming homework to do this weekend. My plan is to crack on with Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice before Ninja theory drops one of the most anticipated titles of the year - in my opinion. It’s already installed, I’ve just got to find time, sit down and get stuck in. Something I should have done years ago, if I’m being honest. But with less than three weeks to go before Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, I’m more than happy to have the time-pressure as my excuse to finally dive in.
Besides Hellblade, I’ve actually picked up a TCG. I know it’s not Xbox related but I’ve fallen head first into the world of Disney Lorcana. Heck, I even attended my first ever Lorcana night at my local hobby store - which was fun! I got thrashed 0-2 each game I played, but I learned a lot and enjoyed myself.
Hope you have a lovely weekend, folks!

On PS5 i just finished Rebirth finally and I'm about to start playing through the Resident Evil remakes. On Xbox i I just completed Harold Halibut and started Eiyuden Chronicles.
A little less game time than normal this week but I’ve manager some hours at least 🙂
Immortals of Aveum - I’ve finished the story, which all things considered (including characters and such) was pretty decent. The world, gameplay, presentation and exploration are all very good imo. I’ve got two trophies left for the Platinum, which is also a very fun one. So all in all I really like the game, around 8,5/10 and would recommend anyone with PS Plus to try it out at least. Its probably not for anyone. Hope it hits GamePass soon as well.
Synapse VR - I’ve reached the end of the story, think Im gonna go for the platinum as the gameplay is very fun.
Suicide Squad - I had to play the trial. Its not very good. Might work with friends but solo? Nah
I’m trying to beat the RE4 remake when I find the time and will also likely replay some older games. Though so much of my attention will be laser focused on the steam deck I bought two days ago.
On PS5: Neptunia ReVerse
On Switch: Maybe Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
On Xbox...umm, not sure yet, kinda lost interest in Another Crab's Treasure due to me experiencing more and more glitches(and some soft-locking instances) the further into it I got. Maybe I'll get back to Lords of the Fallen(2023) or finally get back to Starfield to continue the playthrough I started when it released.
I may just continue playing F.E.A.R. though.
Third and last DLC of Assassin's Creed Valhalla. What an amazing ride!
I'm on a hunting trip and just have a retro handheld (Odin 2) with me. I've been mainly playing 007 From Russia With Love on PS2, but also Pokémon Gold, Metal Slug, and Wario Land.
I'll be playing Jedi survivor tis star wars day after all and I'm going to jump on dragons dogma aswell want to complete the first game before buying the second and I bought DuckTales yesterday just for the sake of it I'll give that a go aswell
Stellar Blade and nothing else. Played first playthrough blind. Second playthrough Im looking up trophy related stuff because theres no free roam. Have a good weekend everybody.
I'm finally managing my first proper Fallout 4 play through, I tried it years ago and got to about level 8 and it just didn't click. I've given it another try and I'm level 31 and loving it. I'd also bought the DLC years ago so have found myself naturally playing through the Automatron missions and I've just kicked off some of the Far Harbour stuff too.
I am a few hours into Jedi Survivor so will continue with that. Not enjoying it as much as the first one so far but maybe it will pick up but story seems slower after the initial section.
Yesterday I finished Dread Templar. Pure boomer shooter bliss.
I decided to retire Project Downfall. I'm stuck on the level called "Grounded" very near one of the endings. I'm just not skilled enough to complete it, and I can't figure out if there is a way to go back or change the difficulty without resetting my progress completely. If anyone happens to know if/how I could do that, let me know! I'd love to be able to see the game through if possible, but I dont want to play the whole thing over again.
Also playing through The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes which has been pretty good so far.
South Park 2 and Assassin's Creed Ezio Trio.
I’m not playing anything Star Wars related, too busy with other games. On Series X I’m playing Dragons dogma 2 and Top spin 2K25. On PS5 Stellar blade and Dave the diver.
Fallout 4 on Xbox, and Skyward Sword on Switch.
I plan on playing Rise of the Tomb Raider. I am apart of the Pure Xbox Game Club and that is the game they selected for this month, so I repurchased a Game Pass subscription. I have never played a Tomb Raider game, so I thought I’d try it out soon! I really hope I don’t suck at it… I usually don’t play triple-A games.
Finishing Dead Island 2 then probably start Jedi Survivor.
Don’t think I’ll have time this w/e and we’re going away tomorrow to sort some stuff out. Plan on taking the XSX with me and continue with AC Valhalla.
I’m honestly seriously considering biting the bullet and getting the FF16 DLC. I’ve been in a slump since I beat Rebirth and Balatro the same day about a month and a half ago. Feels like everything I’ve played since hasn’t hit the spot. I know I loved 16, so it might be nice to have some comfort food. Hopefully Indika launches on PS5 next week as I’ve been looking forward to that one quite a bit. I’ve still got Banishers hanging around in the backlog, but I just… don’t play it. I sort of feel like I’m going crazy here as I feel like Dragon’s Dogma 2, Helldivers 2, and Stellar Blade have all been… just fine… while the rest of the community is tossing praise. It’s just one of those weird years where I must just be at odds with the industry. I dunno. Prince of Persia, Tekken, Balatro, Rebirth was such a strong streak that maybe I’m still hungover from all that greatness so fast though.
Worst case scenario for me is, if I can’t get out of this funk with games currently available, at least Braid is back out in two weeks and I know that’ll snap me out of it if I need it to!
I'm playing Sleeping Dogs
Finally got Fallout 4 to run from the hard drive of my Series X whilst running mods, so I'll be starting up a new game and exploring the wasteland in style this weekend.
Eiyuden Chronicles (Series X) Continuing with this great game. Just finished the Abandoned Mine and my group is currently coming along nicely.
Finished Another Crab’s Treasure (fun combat but quite buggy/ugly), Fallen Order (combat is much better on hard and in 60fps mode), Eastern Exorcist (not bad despite horrible first impression) and Solar Ash (pretty good but this game needed way less story).
Playing Jedi Survivor next and maybe Diablo 4 with my partner (although I find those games so boring, they love them).
I'm back into Lamplighters League, which I read has gotten its final patches. Great tactics game! If you like xcom, you will enjoy it! However, I am still hitting some bugs/crashes costing mission progress (about an hour of play) on Series S, so be warned. For me, the gameplay is worth the crash risk
Fortnite and Jedi Survivor. Watched New Hope and Empire last night. Good times.
COD multi on the Series X
Baldur's Gate 3 on the PS5
I'm playing Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom..
Red Dead Redemption (which holds up incredibly well both graphics and gameplay-wise) and Gran Turismo 5. The latter stutters a bit here and there but it’s very playable. I’m playing on ROG Ally.
Angry Birds Star Wars II (Windows Phone) - Getting all the stars in Episode III has been rough so far to say the least...
Just finished playing through Pentiment and I highly enjoyed it. For anyone else who loved Pentiment and wants a game recommendation, check out the criminally overlooked Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth. There are a great number of similarities, and as much as I enjoyed Pentiment, I would say Pillars is even better.
I’ve gotten burnt out after 40 hours of Mini-Games the Game, I mean, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, so I’m stepping back for now and jumped into Stellar Blade. I’m loving it so far.
Nothing.

Outer Worlds on Series X and Castlevania Lords of Shadow on x360 via backwards compat.
Didn't really play much during the week. But finished Harold Halibut last night. I've played a couple of rounds of Fall Guys today whilst I decide what to start next. Any suggestions?
Well here we go with another WAYP this week coming off a early morning shift. Pretty big week this week as I got ahold of copies of Endless Ocean Luminous, Sand Land, Another Crabs Treasure, Little Kitty Big City, Sea of Thieves and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. Also completed my monster hunter rise Amiibo set. And I think I’m gonna start to really hammer away at collecting mangas too. Also got to start some games this week like Pepper Grinder and SaGa Emerald Beyond. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be going back to those games too soon they weren’t that great honestly. Just fine really. Also saw The Fall Guy and The Zone Of Interest this weekend and ooh boy those were excellent movies. The Fall Guy is easily top 3 this year for me. Also saw WWE Backlash France and that too was absolutely excellent. My first PPV and the crowd was excellent. As for the rest of the weekend I’m thinking more Trails Into Reverie and either Persona 3 Reload or Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes. As for the rest of the week I’m thinking a rather chill easy week of just various games like maybe doing some Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection on switch or some SF6 before Akuma comes out so I can try Ed since I didn’t boot it up back then. Maybe Stellar Blade and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth too. Really a rather chill week. As for anime this week I gotta say Mysterious Dissapearnces is really good and Kaiju No.8 too. Will absolutely have seasonal recommendations next week. Special music shoutout this week to Kendrick Lamar’s Euphoria, Meet the Grahams and Not Like Us. Really good stuff there. Finished Knuckles and that was also absolutely amazing I love it. It’s probably tied with Fallout for favorite show this year so far. As for podcasts this week I gotta go with the usuals of Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Nextlander, Jeff Gerstmann, Last Stand Media, Remap Radio, Easy Allies, Kit and Krysta and Windbreaker and Firelink. And of course we wouldn’t be complete without a lovely shoutout to my good friend over at twitch.tv/akibread who recently did a great crowd control stream of Luigi’s Mansion. I would say perfect timing for Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD next month huh. As always y’all take good care of each other. Stay safe and have a great rest of your weekend. And as always Happy Gaming.
Have not played Jedi Survivor. Played Fallen Order, though, and it is very good.
Playing this weekend - Avatar Frontiers of Pandora PS5 version though). Not playing anything on Xbox at the minute.
But I will get back into Starfield once this new update kicks in.
Tekken 8 has been my go to
