Whoa
Looks pretttttttay prettay good
I am seriously intrigued. Odyssey is really the only AC I have played (and finished). I love a good feudal Japanese setting!
Between this and Star Wars Outlaws Ubisoft will likely have my gaming needs covered for Q3/4 this year!
Looks interesting but I need to see gameplay. Hoping for a decent amount of actual stealth, which is why I suppose there are two characters to break up the gameplay.
Looks amazing at least in terms of characters and world.
I was hoping for Nobunaga being alive and they confirmed the game starts in 1576 so that's great.
Yasuke looks really badass. He was supossedly a big man so it checks out.
@Nightcrawler71 Agreed, Star Outlaws is probably my most anticipated game of the year besides Paper Mario TTYD. I’m really excited to see an open-world Star Wars game playing as a scoundrel/bounty hunter.
Will have to see proper full gameplay to see whether it offers anything particularly new.
he game interests me, but the price does not. These games are getting way too expensive now. If it is another one that only lasts 20 hours or so then it is extremely difficult to justify paying full price.
As I have done with Star Wars Outlaws, I shall skip my usual pre-order, and wait until the game is around 50% off. Doing this will also ensure that any early problems are sorted, which is an added bonus.
It's a shame that Ubisoft have gone so aggressive with their pricing because I usually pre-order their games, but for the price of the Ultimate edition (or thereabouts), it used to be possible to buy the Collector's Edition, which would have included a statue...
This is already my most anticipated game of the year. They have to F it up really bad in gameplay for me not to enjoy this one.
I always liked the historical figure of Yasuke so I'm already sold on the protagonist and setting. Will be playing 3 days early for sure.
If its another 8-15 hour campaign like Mirage, I'll wait for the $20 sale, but this looks great.
😂😂 nah I’ll pass. Last AC I enjoyed was Origins.

@rustyduck It’s a human killing other humans.
@Fenbops
Can I ask what is it that you didn't like about Odyssey? Valhalla is different enough from Origins that I understand, but for me Odyssey was the Origins formula perfected, so I'm honestly curious.
This looks great; after Tsushima anything set in Feudal Japan is instantly intriguing to me, and it's a natural fit for Assassin's Creed.
I found the last few AC games painfully, painfully boring - big "map baths" with endless chores to grind - so I hope they continue to take this series back to it's more polished, streamlined roots. The worst thing they could do now is announce that the game will take 100 hours to complete. I'm done collecting Riddler trophies, so to speak.
@RadioHedgeFund thats not what they say for resident evil 5.
With its dual protagonists reminds me of Syndicate, hopefully it dose it better with that. In Syndicate it bothered me he was the boisterous fighter and she was the cool true believer assassin, and it let you level then up separately BUT seemed I was being g punished for her investing in stealth and him in combat with its missions.
@ridiculous_ties
They already said it's going to be RPG-style.
Suprised you didn't find Ghost of Tsushima as boring. I really had to force myself to finish lt. It was a beautiful looking as it was boring for me. Felt like Tsushima's Creed minus the fun.
I'm honestly not very interested in a Japan-set AC anymore.
Maybe if it had come out 10 years ago or so, I would have had actual interest but these days, if I want this kinda game set in Japan, I just prefer Ghost of Tsushima or Rise of the Ronin or similar games.
I just hope I can play this in Japanese (granted I like the English voice acting so far), other than that this is the AC I have been waiting for! Day one Ubisoft, day one. Crazy cool that Yasuke is in it too, let alone playable. I hope they show how unorthodox Oda Nobunaga was as well. I want a statue of the new assassin as well. Woo I hope they make a good collector’s edition this time around.
Edit: preordered the CE.
AC Japan is the first one I'll skip intentionally even if the gold version "just for you" offer is less than a cheap chain pizza down the years. The lack of East Asian male representation is a concern.
The last six male leads of AC games have been native/ethnic matches of their lands whether it be Greece, Egypt, Scandinavia, UK, Middle East, or France. Yet somehow, Ubi can't be bothered to have a male East Asian as a lead. I've heard that song and dance before. I'm not even disappointed. I've seen the same scenario a few too many times to even be surprised.
@Lup Nah man, I loved Tsushima. It did look lovely as you said, and for me the game came alive on the the difficulty setting "above" hard; 'Lethal'. It was really fun, and ultimately rounded out as easier than Hard mode. 1hk for you, but also 1hk for the enemies, so every single moment of combat was a high-tension game of parries and timing and then instant victory. But by the time the story has gone "full Batman" and given you an arsenal of samurai stuff to play with, you're a one-man army and 'Lethal' difficulty becomes a satisfying cakewalk. Drop into a room of bandits, and deploy a series of ninja-type-s*** to instantly clear them. Very satisfying. Plus, you could skip all the "map bath" nonsense and just mainline the story. I did the haikus (I liked how cinematic they were) and nothing else from the optional side-quests and had a great, streamlined, polished experience.
The fact that they've said the RPG stuff is baked into this AC game makes it a no from me, but each to their own. I'm in my 30s and a parent; ex-hardcore gamer, but leaning more casual every year. Nothing but respect for those "keeping it hardcore".
Just preordered the CE.
@Lup it just felt like more of the same on a bigger scale, the map alone is daunting in Odyssey. I played it and dropped it pretty quickly. I’ll admit I love the Egyptian setting of Origins, so that also carried the game somewhat.
@rustyduck at least it’s good to see both body type A and B being represented. 🤣🤣🤣
Ubislop more egregious monetisation no thx
