Take-Two has confirmed today that Grand Theft Auto VI will officially be heading to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (along with PS5), and the release window is currently set as the "Fall of Calendar 2025".
The news was announced as part of an earnings report in which the Fall 2025 target was mentioned a couple of times:
"As we enter Fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to deliver Net Bookings of $5.55 to $5.65 billion. Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games' previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI. We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase."
Before today, all we knew was that GTA 6 was slated for a 2025 release, so the Fall 2025 reveal and the confirmed Xbox Series X|S and PS5 platforms are brand-new information. Interestingly, there's no mention of a PC release for GTA 6 in the report, which suggests that the PC version will follow at some point after the console launch.
Now that the GTA 6 window has been announced, we wouldn't be surprised to see the likes of Xbox, PlayStation and many other big publishers trying to avoid Fall 2025 for their big games... nobody wants to compete with GTA after all!
