Xbox Free Play Days has officially landed! We know that it's going to be a busy old weekend with the Xbox Games Showcase arriving on Sunday, but that doesn't mean we can't all enjoy a few free games leading up to the event, right?
This week, Microsoft is including two games in its FPD lineup - including a very recent release in April's tennis title TopSpin 2K25.
Here's the full Xbox Free Play Days lineup:
As usual, you'll need Xbox Game Pass Core (formerly Xbox Live Gold) or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to take part in Microsoft's Free Play Days promotion. The above titles are playable for free from today until late on Sunday, June 9.
We've got discounts on both of these titles right now too, for a good while to boot. For the next 12 days The Ascent is 70% off, while 2K's new TopSpin title is 20% off during the same timeframe.
Xbox Free Play Days - How To Download The Games
- Search for the game on the Xbox Store
- Hit the "Install, Included with Gold" or "Free Trial" button
- Play the game!
Will you have time for any of these games this weekend? Let us know down below.

Might have to give TopSpin a try. Is there any word on if or when it might come to Game Pass?
@AccessibleDaydream Impossible to say. NBA 2K24 is on there right now but PGA 2K23 has never been, for example.
2K never keeps their titles on GP for long, either. Normally 6 months.
I tried the ascent while back when first released on game pass. Found it absolutely terrible. Mostly due to the difficulty. Could not even make past first boss.
Deleted the game. Never even thought about it again until read this article.
@GuyinPA75 it did have some nasty difficulty spikes, but I believe they patched it and also later included difficulty options. I enjoyed the game after this and completed it, though never played the dlc.
