We're very much looking forward to the arrival of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (along with PC) this November, but until then, the current version is still getting some great new updates.
Case in point, this Las Vegas expansion! This marks the eighth free city update for the game, adding much more detail to the US city using a "fusion of the latest high-resolution aerial imagery, digital elevation model data, and TIN (triangulated irregular network) surface texturing". You can check out some examples of this in the trailer above.
If you're interested in trying out the Las Vegas update for Microsoft Flight Simulator, all you need to do is go to the in-game marketplace and look for "City Update VIII". Install it, and you'll be able to fly around Las Vegas in high detail!
We'll throw some more details and screenshots for this Fight Simulator Las Vegas update down below.
"Microsoft Flight Simulator City Update VIII brings Las Vegas and its myriad facets alive like never before in the world. With this latest offering, simmers can enjoy the sights of Las Vegas rendered in eye-popping resolution, with a fusion of the latest high-resolution aerial imagery, digital elevation model data, and TIN (triangulated irregular network) surface texturing to render the sights."#

I haven’t played MFS for a while, but are the city/world updates still handled in the same way? If I remember rightly you could only update whilst in the game menus? Hope they address this for MFS 24.
Now give us a fully imagined New Vegas level where we can fly a Vertibird. Kinda like they did with Arrakis and the ornithopter.
Can you do multiplayer racing ?
Of all things, GTA V made me wanna play this. The flight missions in that game helped me overcome some massive motion disorientation problems I had.
This is awesome! Though I will admit it was fun dating the year of the old Vegas visuals based off of a Britney Spears tour advert on one of the buildings (my wife was the reference point for that info 😆).
I'm liking the Las Vegas update, hadn't bought any of the Vegas add-ons from the marketplace yet, so this brings new life to the city, though it's missing the Welcome to Vegas sign. I'm really looking forward to Flight Sim 2024 and all of new stuff coming with it.
The install size is putting me off playing this, my creaky internet is not geared for such download sizes. Would like to play it someday.
