Re: Xbox Adds Nvidia GeForce Now Integration To Its Game Pages

BaldB3lper78

@CutchuSlow Basically I have found that if you find a game that you have in your Xbox library and then select that you own the game and instead of clicking - connect now - skip that and it will get you to log in via Microsoft and will then take you to the game.

The performance is way better than Xcloud BUT it is all very fiddly. It certainly doesn’t work from the Xbox store.

Re: Xbox Studios 'Player Numbers' Graphic Provides Interesting Look At Microsoft's Most-Played Franchises

BaldB3lper78

This again shows why Xbox are going after a different future. I don’t think that they will stop altogether with hardware, but will make less of it as they know it isn’t doing to sell in hundreds of millions anymore.

I’d like to see the next Xbox be hybrid. Powerful PC type with handheld module that can play games natively . But that would be very costly to the consumer.

The numbers are impressive though. That’s a hell of a lot of players but I guess the question from this is whether all those players are helping with revenue and I guess that could either be a lot or very little at all.

Re: Microsoft Rewards Is Making Big Changes Relating To Xbox Game Pass

BaldB3lper78

It seems clear to me that Xbox have got themselves in a right muddle over everything right now. A handheld rumoured, a new more powerful than ever console?
Sticking a huge finger up at Xbox console Game Pass subscribers. Possibly ending Xbox hardware in Europe.
Game Pass subs up in prices and day one releases / the big sellers for Game Pass not available to everyone.

Just what is Xbox today? Does Xbox even know?

From day to day they just lurch from one confusion to another.

Also, the Activison Blizzard deal will take time to come through - yes they can say sales are up based on the companies they have taken over, but they need to make 69 billion just to start breaking even on the deal.

I feel that the heads at Microsoft and those at Xbox have become totally detached. It’s feels like the retina has become detached from the eye and now it’s a case of the blind leading the blind.

Xbox fans deserve better.

Re: 'Tipster' Suggests Xbox Will Stop Marketing Consoles In Certain Markets

BaldB3lper78

This was exactly what I was asking about recently @fraserg
Hopefully it’s not true although to be fair, Xbox marketing in the UK is already dead - I can’t recall the last advert I saw on TV in the last few years that was specifically Xbox related.

It’s really sad to see and looks like the beginning of the end of Xbox in Europe regarding consoles. It’s clearly going all cloud based.

The purchase of Activison is starting to look like a millstone round the neck, rather than a good move right now.

I wonder if this could all potentially mean that the next Xbox hardware won’t even be available to buy unless it’s via import.

Time will tell but this does feel like more sad news for UK Xbox gamers.

Re: Talking Point: Xbox Fans, How Do You Feel About The Future Of The Brand In 2024?

BaldB3lper78

It would be really easy to say it’s all doom and gloom because of poor hardware sales but the fact is that Xbox is different now. Games on different consoles. Incredible games. Now on Amazon as well. More hardware to come. Xbox isn’t dying, it’s just growing in a very different way and I’m excited for the future. The best way to play Xbox games is on Xbox and always will be.

More and more players are going to be playing Xbox games and that in turns means that the future is bright….the future is bright Green!

Enjoy.

Re: Here's Everything That Was Revealed At The Xbox Games Showcase 2024

BaldB3lper78

I am not sure how anyone can call the showcase a ‘let down’ or a ‘disappointment’.
We constantly hear about there being not enough games or not enough quality and then when we get what was a stunning showcase of quality games, people are still not happy!!

Of course, we all want to know what the future holds for Xbox in terms of hardware and exclusives but to be honest, we cannot control that. We will be told when we are told. It’s pointless worrying about it right now.

Just enjoy the incredible games that are coming to Xbox this year and next!

The rest will look after itself.

It is time that gamers stopped moaning and actually just got on with playing games!!!

Re: Recent Studio Closures Tied To 'Long Term' Health Of The Business, Claims Xbox President

BaldB3lper78

She used a lot of words but actually said noting but drivel. The trouble with Xbox now is that no one is going to believe a word that comes out of the mouths of Spencer , Bond and Booty ever again.
All 3 may as well be given the boot - they command crazy salaries so get rid of those - and just get on with calling it Microsoft gaming.

All they are doing now is putting off the inevitable. And each day that goes by , the damage gets worse.

Re: Reaction: Xbox's Push Towards 'Microsoft Gaming' Looks More Drastic Than We First Thought

BaldB3lper78

Today has pretty much ended my relationship with Xbox and it is clear that many are doing the same. Xbox has failed to communicate with its fans. Xbox has bought the likes of Bethesda/Activision/Blizzard, not to make games but to ensure mass profits. It’s a bizarre way to go about what is essentially figure fudging.

Phil Spencer’s ego has grown so big that I’m surprised we can even the shelf behind him these days.

Neither he, no Sarah Bond, nor Matt Booty have any care for Xbox gamers.

I also suspect that they are also no longer in any sort of control and are merely just the puppets being controlled from above.

Microsoft gaming will make billions from gaming but not through its own hard work.

As for Xbox hardware - they may as well throw the towel in now. They have failed Xbox gamers. But they simply no longer care.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Mind If The Next Xbox Was A Portable Console?

BaldB3lper78

TBH Xbox could release the most powerful handheld in the world and it wouldn’t sell anywhere near enough units. Again. Xbox cocked it right up with Xbox One but with the Series X/S they have not marketed it, they have not even tried to make up any ground and they have now proved that the only reason that they were buying companies was just to stops others getting them.
Slowly, one by one, they are now closing studios as if it’s some sort of game - pun not intended.

My relationship with Xbox is coming to a close. They have shafted every Xbox fan and they do not care.

Re: Xbox Doubles Down On Highly Ambitious Plans For Next-Gen Hardware

BaldB3lper78

But what does that even mean. If they still fail to market it - in the UK, I cannot remember seeing an advert on TV for the Series X/S at all in 4 years!
Will it be such a leap that makes it harder for devs to make cross platform games?

She is saying this in an almost desperate bid to build up rumours and interest but surely it’s too soon. Unless that next gen hardware is coming in 2025.

I wish Xbox would stop taking in riddles and just cut to the chase.

Re: Xbox Series X|S Versions Of Hellblade 2 Confirmed To Run At 30FPS

BaldB3lper78

Seeing so many people moaning about 30FPS and they haven’t even played the game! For a game like this, even at 30FPS I would expect it to still run beautifully. But then I’ve not played it either!
People need to chill on the FPS and it only needs to be an issue if it actually affects the game and from early previews, it sounds like it doesn’t.

Will be interesting to see if we get a GOTY contender or if the Xbox Tax will hit hard again?

Hopefully it’s the former. Xbox is due some good fortune surely.
