Re: Many Studios Are Struggling With Xbox Series S Requirements, Claims Developer

BaldB3lper78

Series S is a great machine. I live mine with the XScreen. I’m rarely without it.

These complaints are about lazy developers who just cannot be arsed! Sorry but I hear people saying that we should not refer devs as lazy but this is a prime of example of why some are. The extra effort to get games dunking smooth on Series S is minimal. They can get them running on Xbox One and PS4 fine so this is just devs who are moaning and simply cannot be arsed to do their jobs.

The Series S is perfectly fine, plenty powerful and will be around for a long time. Some devs just need to get a grip and get on with doing their jobs!

Re: 'Gamevice Flex' Controller Launches This Month, And There's A Bonus For Xbox Fans

I had a Razr Kishi and whilst the buttons were fine, it never felt 100% sturdy. I’ve also tried the GameSir devices and liked them better than the Kishi. Overall though, the Backbone One is , for me by far and away the very best controller for my iPhone out there. I have a spare iPhone and use that as my go to handheld device now. Can’t think of anything better. Since I’ve had the BackBone and spare ProMax Phone , I literally haven’t even picked up my Nintendo Switch for 4 months!

Re: Review: Midnight Fight Express - Addictive Indie Arcade Brawler Powerslides Onto Xbox Game Pass

After the disappointment of the truly awful Saints Row - I loved that series as its just so off the wall and daft so was gutted - I pre download this and it is simply brilliant. Streets of Rage on steroids. It's simple, it's addictive, it looks stunning and the soundtrack is superb. My fave indie title of 2022 so far. I can't recommend this highly enough. Gameplay is everything and this hits the mark on the head. A lot! 9/10 from me.

Re: Talking Point: What's Your 2022 Game Of The Year So Far?

BaldB3lper78

Shredders Revenge for me. Superb. Great game and full of nostalgia. Elden Ring is one of the dullest games I have played this year. I kind of get it but is it a game that’s really up there with some of the very best? Not even close for me. Loads of aesthetic quality but a total lack of substance. Give me Cowabunga any day of the week!

Re: FIFA 23 Launches This September, The 'Biggest Ever' FIFA Game

BaldB3lper78

@Carck For me what is needed is a price change. I take your point about there is only so much you can change but they get away with selling the same game every year. It should be 15 quid at most. The devs are not exactly working hard to get this out are they? Yes it’s still good but it amazes me that consumers will waste 50 quid a year to play a game thru already own.

Re: FIFA 23 Launches This September, The 'Biggest Ever' FIFA Game

BaldB3lper78

Same game every year. EA really are beyond lazy. But the consumer is as guilty as anyone, buying up this utter guff every year. EA literally take consumers for fools and they let them. I truly hope someone else brings a football game to the arena and we can bid farewell to EA’s turgid re boxing’s.

Re: Former Xbox Exec 'Scared' That Game Pass May Hurt Game Sales

BaldB3lper78

Also, GamePass is nothing like Spotify. Spotify don’t pay artists. Well they do but is pennies. That is why it has killed a lot of the business and why many have started to take their music off the service. It’s basically like piracy. Anyone who has Spotify has no understanding of the music business at all.

Xbox are still paying devs and publishers their rightful money and therefore the comparison is totally misguided and just another big wig trying to scaremonger when it’s not needed. Microsoft have plenty of reserves and they can afford to operate this model. It’s why devs want their games on the service and the impact on physical sales is minimal if anything at all.

GamePass is consumer friendly and it just means people try before they buy rather than not but at all and that is a big difference in this issue.

Re: Former Xbox Exec 'Scared' That Game Pass May Hurt Game Sales

BaldB3lper78

Right now GamePass is awesome. Why would I spend money if I don’t have to. It certainly won’t hurt the industry as a whole - that’s just nonsense. Nintendo sales are still sky high and their physical sales are not slowing down. It MAY affect Xbox at some stage but that’s what their execs are paid to deal with. All I see right now is great games being accessible to even more people. How is that bad? It’s not.

Re: Video: Here's A Nostalgic Look At Official Xbox Magazine Demo Discs

BaldB3lper78

@NahImgood Xbox don’t have exclusive content? Sony are making loads for the PlayStation. I don’t get your point and there appears to be a realm of fantasy in your comments. Plenty of Xbox gamers so why shouldn’t there be an Xbox magazine? It would be chocked full of games. The PlayStation mag is pretty thin on gaming content.

Re: Video: Here's A Nostalgic Look At Official Xbox Magazine Demo Discs

BaldB3lper78

With so many great indie print mags out there - Ninth Fresh, Sega Mania, Sega Powered, Fusion etc - I am surprised no one has got an Xbox mag on the go. There is still a print PlayStation magazine on shelves and I would love a new Xbox magazine bug no one seems to do one. A real shame that. Sites like her are great bug they are no replacement for the days of print media which was always best and remains best IMO. No offence intended.

Re: Sony CFO Says That Game Pass-Style Launches Would Cause Exclusives To 'Deteriorate'

BaldB3lper78

It’s an interesting point but I think Sony would be better sorting out their own house right now. I haven’t had access to so many superb, high quality games as I had had since owning a Series S and mainly thanks to Game Pass. I just don’t buy the idea that it in any way reduces quality. In fact it does the opposite.

Sony can do what they want but right now I have more than I want with Xbox and also am not having to fork out sky high prices for a lot of games.

Xbox have proven they can have a subscription service, make it work and still maintain the highest of quality and for a gamer that is absolutely spot on and what I want.
