Yes, it's been an entire year since the cloud-streaming service Antstream Arcade made its debut on Xbox, bringing well over 1000 retro games to Xbox One, Series X and Series S that we've been enjoying our time with ever since.
To celebrate the occasion, Antstream has revealed some pretty crazy statistics about the Xbox launch, which includes almost 2 million minutes played in Challenges alone, and almost 100 million Gems earned by players altogether!
We've also got a list of the most played games on Xbox so far, which are the following:
- Bubble Bobble
- BurgerTime
- Double Dragon
- Gunbird 2
- Metal Slug X
- Night Slashers
- Space Invaders
- Strikers 1945
We're assuming this list doesn't count some of the games that were removed from Antstream Arcade late last year such as Mortal Kombat and Smash TV, but it's still an impressive list all the same - there are some true classics here!
If you're interested in getting on board, Antstream Arcade has technically been discounted for the last year at at a price of £29.99 / $29.99 for a year's membership and £79.99 / $79.99 for a lifetime membership, and that discount will remain in place until the end of July. It's well worth considering if you're a big fan of retro games!

It does have it's wobble every now and again, but I love this service. Back in the day, with most of the retro games, the internet didn't exist, so there were no online leaderboards, you could only compare with your friends. So in my opinion, this service has really brought these games to life, especially with the Tournaments and Challenges.... Yeah! I love it...
£79.99 for a lifetime membership is actually quite tempting.
It's been pretty good in fairness, Shame we lost some classics like MK. I play bubble bobble, double dragon and old spectrum games the most. Hoping for some new games soon and this new dashboard they kept talking about.
I love Antstream Arcade on XB. I would love it on PC as well but there is no lifetime purchase option there.
So, I am limited to just playing it on XB.
It's alright. But it can be pretty bad at times, especially if you're far from one of their servers. In Canada there is only one server, and it says it's in central Canada for some reason.
I wish it would temporarily install the game first, it wouldn't take long to install and then it would work without lag.
After seeing what’s happening with the 360 store shutting down this month I'm not so sure if the lifetime membership fee makes any sense?? I’m on the fence here. 🤷♂️ Plus they really haven’t added a lot of games since launch.
This is a superb service and games keep coming. The challenges are cool although some are crazy hard, and it’s good value. They are working on improving the service all the time and it’s worth it if you love retro gaming and high score challenges!
@RetroMan71 It’s great to pick up and play and has plenty for everyone. They are working on bringing more games and also updating the user interface.
@MjJmediablogger They release new games every Tuesday. I'm still waiting for QWAK on the Amiga... 🤣
