Phil is partly to blame for the poor performance of these dev teams and for the state of things in general. Most real leaders would shoulder some of that blame but he seems to get a pass from most Xbox fans.

So they lied, again.

It’s not that it hurts anything to come out later, but as usual, they can’t deliver on their promises.

Let’s see what the dates are at the Direct, but it sounds like the same old bumbling fumbling Xbox 1st party release attempts.

Been playing the trial on my Series S, and can confirm it runs great and looks really good. I have zero complaints. Kudos to Criterion for giving the S some love!

@Spaceman-Spiff seems to be a common thing, unfortunately.

I’m gonna be the lone wolf here and say I’m really enjoying it. The kind of game we used to get in earlier generations. It’s mindless action and it’s really been a cool game so far. Just like any game out there, it may not be for everyone, but I like it. One of the cool things about GamePass is that you can try a game out to see if you personally find enjoyment in it.

My top two are Immortality and Shredder’s Revenge. Immortality was so unique. 1000/1000 achievements for me. Shredder’s Revenge was a perfect co-op beat ‘em up.

I have no expeditions regarding Xbox release dates at this point. We’ll just get it when we get it, I guess.

Meh. The Halo edition last year was VERY nice, but I never could get one due to scarcity. Microsoft seems to not be concerned about selling consoles or much else this generation. I’ll just keep my standard Series X and S models that haven’t even been fully utilized by developers yet (and likely never will be).

Halo Infinite. Have already completed the Battle Pass and am enjoying the new maps. Hope to run through the campaign with some friends soon.

Vampire Survivors is also a great addition to GamePass.

I love Psychonauts 2, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite. For me personally, it’s Halo Infinite. I love shooters, and enjoyed the campaign tremendously. The Multiplayer has taken a lot of my time as well. Forza Horizon 5 is a fantastic game in its own right and is right there nipping at Halo’s heels.

@GunValkyrian this, exactly. I know it’s not the popular sentiment, but it’s tone deaf in yet another year where Xbox gamers get no 1st party AAA games to play.

I’m loving MW2 and I’m definitely not a pro. No game is absolutely perfect these days but being fun and playable still counts for something. I really enjoyed the campaign and I’m having a great time with my buddies on the multiplayer. I played COD all the way back to the original. COD4 was definitely a great and memorable game, but MW2 is really good as well so far.

Xbox execs need to focus on getting AAA games to Xbox and marketing the brand. Just my opinion of course.

Too many of you are believing these Dev employees who are Sony fanboys. Think about minimum PC specs on most games then compare to the Series S. It’s lazy Devs that are the problem. If it wasn’t the S they’d find something else to cry about. They simply hate Xbox.

I doubt the deal is even going through at this point. So it's kind of a moot point.

@JayJ no it’s based on the original universe with Ray and Winston returning as characters in the story. Essentially a new team of Ghostbusters recruited by Winston.

@InterceptorAlpha that’s crazy. I guess I just haven’t noticed it. I rotate different controllers quite a bit but have never had noticeable issues.

@InterceptorAlpha I’ve never had Xbox controllers be particularly bad about stick drift.

@BRT15 agreed. I’ve had plenty of moments of frustration, but it’s always a good time.

Immortality is one of my top ten gaming experiences of all time. I finished the game 100%.

Can’t pick just one. Already had GRID Legends, which is fantastic. Prodeus has been an unexpected surprise. Grounded is incredible. Deathloop is better than I thought it would be. It was a really good month for sure.

It’s THAT GOOD folks. I can’t stop playing it.

I definitely trust Playground, as they’ve shown to be an excellent dev team, if not one of the very best. But I also know Xbox’ overall track record with getting games to market, so I’ll just wait until 2026 when we finally might see some gameplay.

Great game, highly recommend it to racing game fans.

@gollumb82 if you like racing games, GRID Legends is well worth your time. One of my favorite games of 2022.

Xbox killed its own momentum by (as usual) not being able to get any big titles out for 2022. I have both the Series X and S already, both are FANTASTIC pieces of hardware. Games and marketing are their failure points, which has almost always been the case. Hopefully things will pick up in 2023. The lack of games for 2022 doomed them this generation already, I’m afraid. Hopefully they’ll drop the price on the Series S and entice some people to give the brand a try. They simply can’t get those tentpole games to market.

I have both. Am very happy with both.
